Loved it here! Went for brunch, the good and service were great and the panel walls opened up to the beautiful weather outside, such a relaxing and satisfying experience!!

YUMMMMMM. That pretty much sums up our meal here. Since it was about 10:00 on a weekday, we were able to walk right in and be seated, but I can imagine this place is wildly popular on weekends and holidays. My much-needed coffee was excellent. We split the El Guero Omelette and the Strawberry French Toast, and both were delicious! I also loved the sunny vibe and the light filled interior, though the outdoor seating would be lovely on a pretty day. I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The service was quick and very friendly. Family owned business. We went there two days in a row, that shows how great this place is. Ordered both savory and sweet, both were a hit.

I saw the bright yellow patio umbrellas as I was driving home from the Evanston Farmers Market. I HAD to check it out! It is this FUN cafe/restaurant. I was seated at my table and Roberto the owner recommended his favorite item. My server recommended his, also. I selected a brunch item that is named for the other owner, Zinnia! All of the menu items were described deliciosly; and every dish that passed by me as they were being served made me want come back to try them all!

Wonderful discovery, a little north of downtown Evanston. Fantastic variety of selections for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I chose breakfast. One of the omelets. Delicious! Side of bacon was perfectly cooked, not crispy, but meaty and tasty with a hint of maple! Great coffee, too! Will definitely be back as this is now my go-to spot for breakfast.

You have to try this place. Best breakfast in Evanston! Very flavorful and superb service. Los Matorrales is an all around breakfast platter. Definitely coming back to Ovo Frito when in the area. Buen Provecho!

Perfect combination between Hispanic and American Menu Style. Team helpful and attentive. It's owner was there and recommended me a meal I'll never forget how it tasted. Don't miss this place!

I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. I've been coming here since it opened in 2016, I have gotten the chilaquiles nearly every single time and they have NEVER disappointed (I've been here 20+ times). The service has always been great, and on my birthday they even brought me a free French toast (which was AMAZING). Truly cannot recommend this place enough.

Came here with a large group of friends and left with nearly an entire meal! This was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had! The one on the menu is not vegetarian friendly but I asked and they changed the ingredients for me!

"Ovo Frito" is a family place. By the name, it reminds us of the fried egg that we Brazilians eat at home with bread. For the food I found there, it brings us the experience of abundance, and flavor, of course. I ate and enjoyed the Vegan Tacos.
