Excellent! Wife and I shared the large hog trough. "Hobo potatoes" plenty of pulled pork, cheese, sour cream. I forgot to ask for jalapenos. Cornbread was moist and sweet, and exactly the way I like it. We recommend it! I like that you can put your own type and amount of sauce on. Original, Sweet and hot. There was a fourth bottle. I think it may have been a green Chile type. I did not taste that one. Hot was not super hot to me anyway. But nice heat. If you're ever in Arthur, IL you have to stop. Don't forget the jalapenos!

My first experience and it won’t be my last. Eating solo was a challenge when I realized there was no seating inside, however the option to order to go was attractive. Turned out to be a great decision with outdoor seating under a glorious sun. Took my leftovers home to my dad who also enjoyed the smoked turkey, super yummy beans, very unique and delicious potatoes . We both agreed the best cornbread ever!!

BEST FOOD EVER! MY SON WANTED RIBS AND BRISKET AND I LOVE BREADED MUSHROOMS. MY SON SAID THEY WERE BETTER THAN SOME PLACES IN CHAMPAIGN. THE MUSHROOMS WERE BETTER THAN ANY WE HAVE EVER HAD AS WELL! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A PERFECT BIRTHDAY FOR MY SON!

I’ve eaten Pauly’s ribs four times. Recently, my wife and I ate there and I ordered a slab of baby back ribs. The waitress asked if I wanted the “extra meaty” ribs but I opted for the regular ones because the last time I had the “extra meaty” variety, they were tougher than I like. I prefer rib meat to separate from the bone easily and be sauced with some caramelization. That’s just my preference. When our plates arrived, a portion of my ribs looked like the “extra meaty” variety with no sauce and they were a little dry, but another smaller portion looked like regular baby back ribs. The smaller portion was sauced and fattier. I was disappointed but decided not to say anything thinking, “maybe they’re different this time”. Their ribs are good but not the best in my opinion. They’re a little on the fatty side. The “extra meaty” aren’t as fatty but they’re not as tender either. I had to remove some large chunks of fat and tough membrane from them. Pauly’s has a good selection of sauces on the table. The baked beans and cornbread are good and the coleslaw is decent. Their restaurant is small and quaint. Only one restroom. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall I enjoyed the ribs despite them not being what I was hoping for. I took half of them home to eat later. My wife enjoyed the “Piggy Mac”. Would we eat there again? Yeah, but probably not for awhile.

Beef brisket was so good. Sliced nicely and melts in your mouth. Cornbread delicious. Great service and great food! Ribs were awesome! A Lot of meat on those ribs.

This was our first visit and we won’t be back. Sorry but some of the worst bbq I’ve ever had. There were 3 of us and we each ordered a pick 2 with different meats. Every single meat option was flavorless, dried out and lukewarm. Even the tater tots were dry and overcooked. The Mac and cheese was inedible. I can only think we caught them on a bad day based on the other reviews. Also to charge an additional 50 cents for a bun after spending around $22 is ridiculous. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

First experience was amazing! I had a hog trough with tater tots. I can't put into words how great the food is! The owner talked to my sister and I like we'd known him for years. Definitely would rate this a 10 star experience if I could! We will be back.

We wait one Hour for our food. The owner brought brought our food. With no apology, only excuses. We just wanted a sorry for you wait. 15 percent off for you trouble. Owner start a argu about our wait time. I had proof she got mad. Left the table. Would not go there. Food is no better than you can make at home. Yodrers buffet is better.
