I’ve been eating here for 20 years and this is the most consistent restaurant I’ve ever been too. This Vietnamese restaurant has special pho which is the most amazing and delicious soup on this planet. I also love their Thai ice coffee. I literally dream about both of these foods. It’s in a very pretty old building with many floor to ceiling windows with a brick interior. This is a welcoming family owned business that is so incredible. Everything here is delicious and it is so reasonably priced. Please add to your list to try!

The food was not as good as expected: Pork and Shrimp Pancake was very oily. Special Pho was bland. So was Shrimp and Pork Clear Noodle; the pork was dry. The broccoli didn’t belong in that soup. Friendly service though.

We strayed from our typical go tos to give this Chinese / Vietnamese spot a shot and it didn’t disappoint. Food was good. The service was prompt. Restaurant is situated in the downtown area of Wheaton which I thought was a cute area. Highlight for me would be the beef pho. Broth was delicious. Meat quality was good and served with all the fresh toppings and sauces (hoisin & sriracha) you’d expect to adjust to your taste. The lemongrass pork appetizer was nice to start with. The fried rice my son throughly enjoyed. The duck noodle soup was okay. The pan fried seafood noodles were average and not much noodles to be honest. Anyways I’d probably come back for the pho as there aren’t many Vietnamese options around here. Til next time, cheers!

This is an elevated version of your fav Vietnamese place- it’s clean, well-decorated and run by a family (all men). A kettle of tea is 50 cents! And the grilled lemongrass chicken is my absolute favorite (and their speciality!) Another good sign is that they always have a few tables busy- they’re never empty. Add this to your list for dine in!

    - Delicious, authentic pho. - Big portions. Get the larger bowl. You won’t regret it. - They have both beef and chicken broth versions of pho. - Shrimp toast is very interesting and tasty. - Great service.

Take out. 1 hit and lots of miss. Shrimp egg rolls were good, with the sweet and sour sauce. The shrimp and pork pancake was ok. Black bean chicken was tasty, carrots were not a good addition. Beef and green peppers needed more flavor and again the carrots were not a good addition. The bbq pork fried rice was much better with a few splashes of soy sauce. None was provided, good thing I have. I did order this with no carrots. Sea food chow fun was ok, chow fun tasted a little old. Seafood pho, needed salt, broth did not have much seafood flavor. Noodles were good and cuttle fish was cooked well. The best thing was the shrimp egg rolls. Overall everything was pricey and mostly miss. But it’s downtown Wheaton.

Had the spring rolls, shrimp salad, egg drop soup, and lemongrass shrimp. Everything was very tasty. All the sauces were perfect and everything seems authentic. Good price and everything came out quick.

Great vietnamese food with great flavors. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls with a peanut sauce. We seasoned it with siracchia sauce. Very good. My husband ordered the beef pho and he really enjoyed the broth. I ordered the grilled lemon chicken with rice. It has a unique flavor but you need to pour the sauce over the rice and chicken for full flavor profiles. Everything was fresh and service was quick. It's family owned and the grandpa cleans the tables and brings water, food and your check but doesn't speak English well. The waiter varies from table to table. The atmosphere is pleasant and it's clean. My only complaint is the prices are not on the menu and you have to go online to the website for pricing. Sheesh...hard to find parking on the street.

Great place for some Vietnamese food. I really got the impression that this restaurant is family owned. I might be mistaken, but it seems like all the workers here are family members. The food was delicious, and I would definitely love to come back and explore more of their menu.

I had the everything beef pho, not a true pho dac biet. It was okay, I didn't finish the broth which tells me it wasn't flavorful enough. Meat portions were okay, nothing special. I'd recommend the restaurant but I'd try something different next time.

Will not come back again. I am disappointed with 1) the portion size (1 medium man could easily eat 2 orders of orange chicken, for example) and 2) the lack of service. No one came back to the table to check on water nor anything else we needed. After 15 mins, we had to call them over. Later, we gave up waiting and got up and took extra silverware from another empty table. Food quality was good except for chow mein (bland and tastless). Ambiance is good. Pricy. They don't display prices. 1 order of orange chicken 13$, egg role $7 for 2, plus tax and tip =$26 per person. No parking.

We have been going back to Luong Loi for over 30 years ordering the fried egg rolls, beef pho thai, beef fried rice and lemongrass chicken. Absolutely delicious! Thank you!

We came here for lunch and the food was okay. The egg drop soup was sugary, which needed a little doctoring for my flavor profile. For the main course I got the seafood chow fun, which I enjoyed and the portion size was ample. Now the menu didnt have prices next to any of their dishes, which for a not so fancy restaurant, I didn't think was necessary. We had a party of 5 and the bill with tip was about $90 and we didnt even get drinks. The food is good and the service was okay but I don't think it was worth the cost.

Food was pretty good. Next time I will try the Pho the real test. The combo fried rice with Chinese style sausage was very well done.

Went at a very slow time- 430 pm, so the place was almost empty. Seated quickly, the meal and service were very good. All our food was hot, and flavors were quite nice. If I find myself back in this area, i wouldn't hesitate to go again.

"Home away from home" is how I always describe Luong Loi. We have been customers for many years, starting when they were across Main St. This new location is beautiful, warmly decorated with personal touches (I believe the owner's daughter took the photos on the wall.) The food is delicious and fresh tasting. We usually get the Lemongrass Chicken or Regular Pho as they are our favorites, but I have tried and enjoyed the Mongolian Beef, chicken wings and grilled lemongrass chicken. The egg rolls and spring rolls are both delicious. Whenever we dine here, my daughter is automatically served more crispy garlic on her egg drop soup because she asked for extra garlic when she was very young at their location across the street and they still remember! It's so sweet and it makes us smile every time! It's also delicious. The owner, chef and service staff are all wonderful. We really feel like we are at home here. Thank you for the wonderful visits!

I go there for Chinese food. It's decent. The hot and sour soup is very good, spicy and sour just like it's supposed to be. The kung pao chicken is good but nothing fabulous. Same with the chicken and broccoli. Solid place to get Chinese food but it won't blow you away.
