My wife and I love this lake. There's plenty of excellent places to fish with many fish attractors in place as well. It gets busy sometimes but it's a great lake!

Super awesomeness of a lake!! Tons of little coves for fishing and about 50-60’ deep. Big boats all over the place and a bunch of tin boats fishing. Not crowded at all. Little beaches everywhere you look. I saw a few public boat launches. We launched at eagle creek in the south west side of the lake. Well marked no wake and hazard areas.

the family camp at Eagle creek camp grounds. from July 1st. to July 11th. we really love it 😀 had lots of fun!! took the boat out to watch fireworks, went tubing, learn how to water ski took me two days to figure out LOL 😆 and I didn't break a hip. the camp host was really awesome!! can't wait to go back.

A lot of sandbars here. Well maintained,clean parking lot/boat ramp areas. Lake is pretty large. Even with all these positives I didn't love it like I do Clinton

Great place to visit for boaters. Volunteers keep the place tidy. Watch for turtles crossing road, I rescue at least one every visit.

Shelbyville Lake is a nice place to take the family. There are a lot of things to do there, and they also hold fishing tournaments there as well. That's one of the lakes we fish are BFL Tournaments at in the Major League Fishing Circuit...

Great fishing destination plenty of area numerous camping options

The west bank beach swimming area is great. The water is mostly clean. Sometimes you will see the "floating lake debris" but it wasn't too bad and I was able to tolerate it. I can't stand dirty lake feeling, and if you are like me I was very happy the lake bed is all sand and I didn't feel slime on my feet. The crowds aren't too bad either. It cost $5 to enter. It's perfect for new beginner swimmers too.
