Had such a lovely time exploring these trails. The educational signs and components were very high quality, and we saw lots of wildlife! (Mostly birds). I recommend going early in the morning and packing plenty of water.

Great hike if you want to do a peaceful walk without a lot of people on the trail! Recommend going early and bringing some Picknick and enjoying it on the many overlooks this Trail has to offer! It was dry and a easy walk for any levels!

Beautiful Florida wilderness at its best. Such a beautiful well keep area to spend quality time outdoors and learned a bunch about the watershed from all the signage and information. We saw plenty of birds and rabbits this trip. We are planning on more trips here for the future! Thank you for this beautiful area!

This is one of my most favorite places to walk because it does have shade trees you can stop under if needed, it's quiet and beautiful. Today I saw rabbits, sometimes I'll see gators at the pond off of the boardwalk or by the shelter, sometimes you see armadillos, tortoises, snakes, hawks and prints in the dirt of many others. I don't go here for animals but the tranquility. I go because it's peaceful and quiet. I do suggest that you wear Deep Woods Off or you will be bothered. I did 3 circuits around the park today. I do not recommend the Pine Woods flatland trails that fork left off the main trail unless you like the water and mud. This time of year it is always under water up to my knees. Today I walked the part that goes by the Overlook over the boardwalk and back around by the shelter 3 times. Felt great.. but hot! I do not recommend the pop Ash part unless it's winter time and dry. Everytime I've ever gone back there during rainy season it's muddy and slippery once you get off of the back boardwalk but it's also really really mosquito invested in that part so I never go back there unless I am fully covered in bug spray and it's completely dry. A beautiful haven..hardly anyone on the trails. Check it out. Bring water. FYI.. there is a port a potty at entrance, picnic tables at the entrance by boardwalllk and at the shelter and there are benches sprinkled throughout the park.

Nice hiking easy paths, it was very dry so that helped, read other reviews where it was very wet. We did not see much, one pair of hawks, some tracks but they also had a nice area to sit down a have a picnic if you wanted. If you are looking for more wildlife I would go to Big Cypress or Everglades

Incredible place to get out and see some of the real and unspoiled Florida! This is a beautiful place to visit and reflect, and a crucial part of the local ecosystem and watershed. We need more spaces like this, and less strip malls and gated communities.

Isolated! Plenty of well-maintained trails. Summer is a bit flooded so best time to use is during the winter season. Porta-potties at the main parking area.

Great outdoors experience. Trails are awesome and you never know what you’ll encounter. Parking is free, but limited. No restroom facilities except for 1 porta potty. Took the whole family there and we had a good time exercising and exploring.

Great selection of birds here! Lots of beautiful lush foliage. Some of the trails were a bit wet in November (up to the ankle water), but it was worth it for the sights and experience.

This trail was amazing!!! But its a LONG HIKE (like 12 miles)...expect to be there all day. Would go in the morning so you have time to enjoy it and not be stressed out. Caution: trail is home to MANY bold alligators. The path is NARROW And you miiiight have to jump through poison ivy Or swamp to avoid the alligators. They may want to chomp you! Be safe! Dont get chomped. My friend and I went there in the afternoon and halfway through the trail got worried about the sun setting! We basically power walked, jogged, and ran the last 6 miles to beat the sun down! Dont be like us. Go early. We got lucky and got out of there at the last sliver of sunshine at sunset. If you go in the summer months, expect it to be totally flooded. Go in dry season.

As we pulled up we saw many wading birds. The trail is bike able, and about 12 miles as I understand the map. However, we hiked in a little over a mile. We saw several gators, and a red shoulder hawk that was enjoying a fresh-caught meal. This was a great place to just relax in the beautiful outdoors.

I hike these trails regularly. They're nice and isolated from the rest of the world. Truly a great way to hike and be at peace.

Great trail system that are well-maintained and offer a glimpse into one of Florida’s most beautiful environments, marshes!

Under water from the beginning of the trail. At least 6 inches the entire way. Awesome hike!

A great spot to be on a weekend or evening walk. last time I was here, there was one portable bathroom, and not really any trash cans. trails can get muddy and most of it is non-paved. I'd say plan to bring a camera and clear an hour in your schedule

Wish I had more time here, but I loved hiking around with my dog. I will definitely be back to enjoy more natural Florida scenery and wildlife. I enjoyed the viewing deck/ overlook, but expected it to be taller. Great place for a shaded hike, especially with a dog. I saw a lot of cool native plants, and critters. They also had a display of rocks that kids painted in class for a field trip here with their favorite animal or plant on it. I spent a little time admiring their work, as I have always been an artist. Cute to see little artists in the making enjoying nature as well.

Cool back yard trail, different types of habitat, medium tall grass, where long pants, and be aware of your surround

Best trail markings I've seen. Super well maintained and intuitive set up. A little wet but you could walk around enough of it to still get a quick hike in. If you don't mind wet shoes/socks, you'll have no problem. It was super quiet when I went.

Love these trails! Well maintained and serene. Unfortunately, there was trash (beer bottle, wrappers, etc) in the parking lot. We picked them up but there also was no trash can to place the trash in.

👍👍 I had planned a trip out into big cypress to finish off my 8yo daughters spring break strong. I had planned on 14 miles of amazing Florida wilderness and an incredible dad/daughter bonding trip. What I had not planned on was an incredible experience with a ranger at oasis visitor center. Athena Gonz...
