This place was a great place to visit to see, hold, learn, feed some exotic birds. If you plan going you will need to bring your own nuts. BUY UNSALTED almonds or pecans the birds love them. This is a non-profit rescue, please consider leaving a donation there or online.

Drove from Hollywood Beach to the Bird Gardens as the topmost planned activity for our vacation - and it did not disappoint! There are many parrots at this aviary, and all are clearly well cared for. Stepping into a cage with over a dozen Macaws was amazing, as they all became instantly excited and curious. There are dancing cockatoos, there are chatty African Greys, and even some parrots that come out to interact with the tour group at the end and play with you. It felt unreal being able to interact with this many parrots and they definitely enjoyed is just as much as we did. Visit this place if you enjoy parrots!

What an amazing experience! I was able to book the tour the night before and I'm so glad I did! The tour started promptly at 11 AM and felt very casual yet thorough. We were introduced to the sanctuary and met some of the friendlier birds that were not caged. Next after history and explanations of the mission of the sanctuary, we walked to different sections and interacted with the birds under the helpful guidance of the volunteers. I brought raw, unsalted almonds to feed the birds, others brought dried berries. It was such a fun time, I would definitely recommend it and I can't wait to go back!

This was a place that we found online and wanted to visit on our vacation in Naples. It was so fun! So many beautiful birds! Don't forget your almonds, blueberries or bananas! The birds love them!

A must visit! They were beyond accommodating for my 92 year old granddaughter. They went out of their way to make every bit of the the experience accessible for someone who can barely walk. Nicest people and friendly animals. My grandmother who fights to get out of the house didn't want to leave this place! She was sitting with the birds singing to them in a beautiful moment.

Had a really fun couple of hours here this week meeting all the birds. Host was lovely, as were the volunteers that met us on arrival. The birds are obviously very well looked after and loved. Listening to them all saying "hello" "hi" and "I'm Richard" is something we'll never forget. This is a free activity with a voluntary contribution if you want to help out. Definitely recommend a trip there and please leave them something. It's such a kind thing to do for these birds and can't be cheap to run.

Such an amazing experience! Non-profit run and they really have a great variety of birds to see, feed, and learn about. The guides are very educated and you can tell that they care deeply about these magnificent birds. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the Naples area!

The volunteer embassadors were very friendly and accommodating. We forgot to bring unsalted almonds, but there were a couple of bags left at the sign in table that previous visitors left that the greeter's said we can use. They have over 200 birds and each one prettier than the next. We had to leave early as it started raining. But we will definitely be back. And I recommend wearing sneakers as parts of the pathway is uneven and droppings are plentiful. Also, please do make a donation as there is no charge to visit.

The beginning of the visit was wonderful as the worker allowed anyone who wanted to hold the ambassador birds and take pictures to do so. The problem was that there were too many people and we couldn't hear anything he was saying about them. The guy that brought us into the sanctuary was worse because we never even saw him. By the time we got back there, he was finished with his information and disappeared. The birds are absolutely beautiful and seem quite happy.

A MUST SEE! We absolutely fell in LOVE...bring unsalted almonds or walnuts and feed the birds. We enjoyed holding, petting, and literally cuddling with the birds! Fantastic place...we will go back, for a visit and maybe even volunteer! They do NOT ask for monetary donation, but there is an opportunity to do so. 💜

Our guides Will and Kerie were just phenomenal. All of these birds are in great condition with pairings and friends. It is so refreshing to see such a great non for profit especially for the surrendered birds who are unfortunately having to learn life with out their original owners. If you want to support a great place with beautiful birds book a tour with them.

It is lots of fun to visit and get the tour. The parrots are very friendly and we're good at taking raw almonds from our hands. We also fed the wandering peacocks! Be aware that this is a parrot rescue that gives yours so there is a variety or parrots but not other birds. At the end of the tour we got to hd some of the ambassador birds which were VERY gentle and enjoyed being handled.

Very nice place to visit. Kari was a wonderful host and showed us a variety of birds. So many to feed raw unsalted almonds to. Very informative and a pleasure to attend. Macaws, Cockatoos, Amazons and many smaller conures and African Greys. And tortoises too! ❤🦜❤ And, not to forget the 2 super cute pitties.

A very fun and rewarding little attraction near Naples. Everybody assembled at the front gates at 10:45 a.m. I would say there was about 100 guests there but the facility is plenty large enough to accommodate a group that size. As soon as you get there, there are a few hosts mingling among the crowd with large beautiful parrots that you can interact with, feed, and even hold and pet. They do a really great job trying to make sure that everybody gets a turn to hold at least one parrot. I was able to handle three of them: a Moluccan Cockatoo, a B&G Macaw, and even a Hyacinth Macaw! Sometimes when you visit parrot rescues like this, there can be a slight air of sadness where you can see that the parrots are not thriving. But not in this case! All the parrots here seemed upbeat and happy. They have large, open air aviaries and are clearly loved and well taken care of. You are welcomed and encouraged to bring unsalted nuts and blueberries to feed any of the birds you encounter which enhances the interactive nature of the experience. It was so fun to see all the different species, watch their unique behavior, hear some of them talk, laugh at some of their antics, and enjoy the tropical environment of the grounds. Which by the way were very well kept, and not filthy or stinky like you might suspect. Absolutely recommended for anyone even remotely interested in beautiful tropical birds.

It's great that there are birds that are free, they could put the description legends since there were many and it was not known what species or place they were from.

Amazing place for the entire family. My husband went there “against his will” to have a quality family time but turned into a 5 year old while there and kept smiling on his way back. Every time parrots would grab the nut, he would giggle. I really enjoyed watching my son and husband interact with the birds. The owner was very nice and accommodated us, while we did not know how this works and that you need to make an appointment in advance and bring some raw nuts (highly encourage to call them first). Greatly appreciate this experience and will definitely be back .

Have not personally been there, but...I have met the owner of the home and property and she is really nice. I have heard they have many birds, parrot mostly. I own property in Corkscrew Island, it is a beautiful area with much Florida wildlife and people who possess a cornucopia of knowledge of the area.

I looked for over a year for a place for my macaw that I was comfortable with as I am no longer able to care for him. I finally found The Bird Gardens of Naples through a friend. The Bird Gardens is amazing. The owner, Keri, and manager Will are so kind and caring. They even allow you to come visit your bird whenever you want. They are a non profit organization so any donations are very much appreciated. I'm not sure what I would have done without them. If you have never been there, take the time, take the tour. Once you do that, you'll want to return.

They hosted a very fun field trip for our third graders! So many birds to see and feed. Plenty of adoptable birds in case you're looking to have one as a pet!

👍👍 I had planned a trip out into big cypress to finish off my 8yo daughters spring break strong. I had planned on 14 miles of amazing Florida wilderness and an incredible dad/daughter bonding trip. What I had not planned on was an incredible experience with a ranger at oasis visitor center. Athena Gonz...
