I don't love zoos normally because I'm against animals in captivity but this zoo appears to have a strong conservation element with many programs underway to help animal populations around the world. The zoo offers lots of shaded areas, ample water and bathrooms, and is set up so that there's lots of room and space to walk around. I wish they would offer more vegan choices in their food court - definitely bring your own food if you're vegan. Some of the exhibits were closed which was disappointing but there was still lots to see. There were also lots of Lego animal displays that were really neat!

Pretty well maintained. Lots of active animals, you get to see them moving around. The alligators were pretty cool. The feeding/training show was pretty informative and interesting which kept both the kids and adults captivated. One thing is, it’s really really hot, so keep hydrated etc.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I was here 8 years ago and it seemed so much more alive. Monkey island was exciting and incredible 8 years ago but today it was so unactive. What few monkeys we could see were not active. Giraffes looked bored and no desire to come up close. All animals everywhere in the zoo were sleeping. Just seems like the zoo was so much better 8 years ago.

This zoo is a great place to spend a couple hours with the family. There are a lot of animals to see (even though most of them were hiding in the shade, it was a very hot day). I loved the loop layout, made it simple to see everything without having to backtrack. I was hoping the Lego statues I saw in some vlogs would be there but the were apparently removed for some reason or the other. I love that the staff members wore masks as well. My favorite part was the giraffe feeding, they're such beautiful animals. If you want go on the primate expedition make sure to check the times out before you do anything else, that way you can plan how to spend your time. The line for it was pretty long too. Overall it was a great day.

Nice zoo, most of the walk ways are surrounded by trees that proved plenty of shade. Good variety of animal exhibits. Provides one of coolest giraffe exhibits where you can feed them and get some great up close pictures. The monkey/ape island boat tour is a must. Just be aware you can likely complete the entire zoo in under an hour or so. The rest rooms were kept clean as well as the paths and outdoor areas. Staff was polite and informative about the different animals as well.

We loved our visit to the Naples Zoo! 😍 They have a great variety of animals, and the zoo is not huge, so you can explore it and visit all exhibitions in one day! The staff is super professional and friendly, they are walking around with some animals (as you will se in the picture) and they are all wiling to share information and teach very interesting facts about the zoo and different animals. The venue is well maintained and the animals looks happy; in my opinion and based on what we saw and learn, they are more like a conservation place than a zoo (which is great because their mission is protecting the animals, more than taking advantage) We have been there only once, but we are definitely looking forward to come back soon 💪 100% recommended 👍

A fun and mid sized zoo that has a little bit of everything! Recommend that if you don't see an animal go back around again and chances you'll see it. Informative theater presentation on skunks and tiger zookeeper interview. Cute playground near entrance and enough shade throughout the zoo. $60 for family of three. Went on a Friday afternoon and not crowded at all.

It was a nice zoo to visit while in Naples on vacation. It's easy to navigate, plenty of shade and the most important was that the animals seemed happy and active. It would take about 2-3 hours of your day depending on how quickly you walk through. I also liked that they posted when the keepers would be at the enclosures, so you could see the interaction and learn more about them. Only downside at the time I had went, the zebra, fossa and tiger were no where to be seen. But still enjoyed the visit.

The Naples Zoo was pretty nice. Its not as big as other zoos, but it has a lot to see and do. The main attraction is the monkey islands where you take a boat tour around the island to see them up close. You can also feed giraffes. They also have some big cats like lions, and some hyenas. There is a lot of places to sit and most of them are covered or shaded. Parking wasn't bad, and the line to get it was quick. We bought an annual family pass because we'll be going back for sure.

I feel like some of the animals do not like their enclosures. Several animals were just panting and pacing. Small zoo. Cute animals. Wish there was more foliage and shade for the giraffes in the back enclosures. Swarms of bees around all of the trashcans. A lot of restrooms needed restocking.

  • 5/5 Tiffany S. 1 year ago on Google
Such an amazing zoo! The staff was very friendly and the environment was quiet and enjoyable. The foliage is so fascinating since it was previously a botanical garden. You’ll see a lot of huge tropical trees and unique plants. It feels like you’re walking through a jungle. The animal exhibits are big and the animals are comfy and clearly treated well and with respect. I highly recommend

Spent a few hours today here and would highly recommend despite the ongoing construction work which is only going to be a plus for this Zoo. Definitely take the boat safari around the lake to view the primates on various different islands. The tour is free once you've paid your admission and the boat captain is fun and informative. You can also feed the giraffes for a small fee. It's certainly not the biggest of zoos but the gardens and animals are fantastic. We ate at the Cafe where my wife was catered for with a tasty gluten free option, got to keep her happy at all times so thank you Naples zoo for that one. Parking is easy with some spaces undercover, great for kids of all ages. Staff extremely friendly and courteous.

I recently visited this zoo with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience! One of the highlights for my nephews was the fantastic jungle gym. But the excitement didn’t stop there. We got the chance to meet some incredible live animals, including the charming Elmo the bird. The kids were mesmerized by Elmo’s colorful plumage and friendly personality. It was a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with such a fascinating creature. Feeding the giraffes was another unforgettable moment. The kids were thrilled to hand-feed these gentle giants, and the experience left them with big smiles on their faces. To add to the adventure, we took a boat ride around the zoo’s waterways, which offered a refreshing change of pace and allowed us to observe various wildlife in a more natural setting. And of course, learning about different types of monkeys was both fun and educational. The zoo’s knowledgeable staff provided interesting facts and stories about the monkeys, making it a great learning experience for the kids. Overall, this zoo provided an amazing mix of entertainment and education for the whole family. We left with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation for the animals It’s a must-visit for families looking for a day of fun and discovery!

We really enjoyed our day here at the museum. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. One of our favorite things was the feeding and petting of sting rays (they don’t sting!). There is a cool globe shaped screen called “Science on a Sphere” that illustrates climate, airliner flights, hurricanes, etc, that is intriguing. We watched 3 short 3D movies that were interesting. There is so much for kids and teenagers. They do not have a cafe, but do have a nice gift shop

Small zoo with most animals only having activity at dawn and dusk. Otherwise, the animals are mostly sleeping/hiding. However, there are a good array of animals and the glimpses caught of them are still mesmerizing. The zoo is very well attended, staff are knowledgeable and attentive to the animals and property which is very well kept/maintained. Signs at every exhibit were informative. The man greeting people at entry was so happy and funny. There are a few places stationed throughout the zoo to get food, drinks, etc. Park playground and picnic table areas are also available. Nice place to spend a few of hours.

I come from Cleveland so this zoo was very small compared to what I'm used to however it was definitely worth it. Staff was friendly, the smaller exhibits make it more intimate. If you're in the area I would recommend. They sell beer inside and there's a cure little pontoon cruise to see the monkeys on their islands. Giraffe feeding for the kids and the foliage is beautiful

Arrived about 2:30 and we had it mostly to ourselves other than a couple other families. Rather hot but plenty of covered paths and shade and there are water fountains at multiple places. Wonderful animals to see and honestly even more beautiful landscaping. So many cool trees and plants. Loved it.

First off, this is an AZA certified zoo, and that is the absolute best accreditation to have. They have so much information! They have histories, conservation facts, and animal facts. They have fun signs that if you read them have little fun facts. The zoo does so much great conservation work, the animals all looked so happy and healthy (working in wildlife rehab, this is important to me). The zoo also just keeps going! There is so much to see and do, it is absolutely worth the price of admission and more

We went to see Clyde Butcher’s photography exhibit on Cuba which was super and had the extra thrill of having this educational museum to ourselves. We very much enjoyed the personalized presentation on the planets by the nice young man in charge of teaching. They have a very good exhibit on the Calusa Native people. The aquarium area is fun and petting the stingrays great for kids and adults. The lady at the registration desk was so very nice and helpful. Check out the section on hurricanes...including the wind tunnel‼️

Really fun place to come especially for the kids. The touch tanks are pretty cool, you can pet sting rays ect. The staff was exceptional and knowledgeable and all around nice. We had a great time here and I would suggest to anyone that has not been here already to come check them out, definitely worth it!

So fun! Awesome place to go with family and they have lots of attractions! Go on a slightly cooler day since the animals mostly all have fur and will kind of just sit around. I recommend the honey badger exhibit! They move around a ton and are fun to watch!

Beautiful grounds to walk, lovely trails, and the boat was awesome! On the other hand, it was incredibly scorching hot and areas where there was no shade. The animals were hot too so they were hiding in the shade and we missed several animals. One lady complained to get a refund or store credit for her 30min experience of seeing not one animal. They did not honor any of these request except for a rain check, since there is no guarantee to see the animals. Perhaps the entry fee should come with a warning. Overall, I would not recommend to come during the high peak summer time. I would love to return in the fall or spring as the zoo it self is very beautiful.

FREE ADMISSION FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH IF YOU'RE A COLLIER COUNTY RESIDENT. Nice smaller zoo, and just got Orangutans that were very active and playful. Best to go early and get on the boat tour to see the monkeys when they're most active as we've seen them swing and heard them sing. They are an absolute blast. (and they're more active when it's cooler!). Loved the feeding the giraffes as you get a great view since they're all pretty much out in the open. First Saturday of each month is free for Collier County Residents, so take advantage of that if you're local. You won't regret it.

From the moment we entered the Naples Zoo, I knew we were in for a treat. I visited with my mom and my two-year-old daughter, and we all were thoroughly enchanted by our experience. One of the most impressive aspects of the zoo was how clean and well-maintained all the animal enclosures were. It's evident that the staff at Naples Zoo takes great care in ensuring a healthy and happy environment for the animals. The selection of animals was fantastic, offering a diverse range of species to admire. However, the true stars of our visit were the orangutans – a delightful family consisting of a mother, two daughters, and an adorable 3-year-old son. They were incredibly active and engaging, providing endless entertainment with their playful antics. Another highlight of our visit was the unique boat ride. The journey around a small lake took us past islands inhabited by various monkeys and apes. It was a magical experience, feeling like we were exploring a distant jungle. The boat captain deserves a special mention for his friendliness and the wealth of information he shared, making the ride not just fun but also educational. In conclusion, Naples Zoo is a must-visit destination. The combination of well-kept enclosures, a wide variety of animals, and unique experiences like the boat ride make it a perfect outing for family members of all ages. My daughter was mesmerized, my mom and I were impressed, and we're already planning our next visit!

It's a small zoo but has all the staples you need, Lions, tigers, and bears. Feeding the giraffe was quite an experience for the kids. All the animals are very lively, the entire place was clean and lots of new exhibits are being added. Watching the crocodiles being fed was very cool.

The Naples zoo is amazing! So many fun animals, that were all out and visible in their enclosures. The landscaping, scenery, and flora are beautiful too, it's basically a botanical garden within a zoo. Lots of enclosures have zookeepers give speeches throughout the day, teaching you about the animal, showing you training tricks, and feeding them. Everything was reasonably priced. I do wish they had an aquarium or reptile/amphibian section. However, the animals they have are great.

It is a great facility if you only plan on going once and don’t have children under 5 their kids zone is shut down the displays haven’t changed in over a year and it was not worth getting a membership. I requested a refund or an extension since for 10 of my 12 month membership offered nothing that I had been told when signing up. I understand covid has made things difficult but if you can’t provide a service you should offer fair I compensation to for what they can’t provide.

First time visiting. I must say most of the animals were trying to stay cool. We didn't get to see most of them. It was a short and quick walk through. Bring water cause it was definitely hot. I would visit again maybe when it's cooler just so we can see more animals out.

Take quarters for fish food vending machines. Sit on the boats right side for the Primate cruise if taking pictures. Really neat giant Lego sculptures throughout the park. Non profit with a handful of animals and shows. Not the biggest or best, but zoos are a nice way to see and appreciate conservation efforts. Took our time and saw everything in 3 hours. $5 to hand feed giraffe 3 lettuce leaves 🦒 was cool.

No air conditioned areas to eat but lots of picnic tables in shade...bring your own picnic encouraged...very nice 2hrs spent for us to see half the zoo...

It’s a nicely maintained zoo, staff is friendly, and we knew going in (it was 90 degrees) that most animals would not be active. That said, don’t forget a water bottle or three (though you can get a refillable bottle for $5; not bad). Some misting fans around some rest areas would be appropriate, but are sadly missing. The giraffe-feeding experience is always enjoyable (3 leaves for $5). Looked forward to the alligator feeding and primate boat ride, but we just missed both exploring the rest of the zoo. If you need some good exercise and a typical hot-day zoo experience, give it a whirl. We were on vacation, but if we come back, we probably will find something else to do.

Small zoo with good enclosure habitats for the animals. . Something unique about the zoo they claim is none of the animals have been taken out of their natural habitat to keep it in the zoo. Most of the animals have come from other amusement parks or private zoos . Adult ticket prices are $22.95. If you book online you might get $1.50 discount using code EB or FB . From 9am to 3pm, there is a lots of interactive session with the keepers. There are lots of help us and volunteers who are willing to answer questions. . Also something very unique is a small boat ride for the primate island. . Definitely needs a water visit for 3 to 4 hours if you have a young kid.

Love going here! It was hot, there is construction and the animals were sometimes hard to find, but that's not the point. It was being with family, seeing beautiful nature and knowing they are fixing it up to make it even better. Remember we just had a hurricane not to long ago! Had a great time as usual! Make you own fun with it! Look at the beautiful trees 🌳 and flowers 💐 too! Mumma and I had a great time as you can see in the pictures 📸!

This is a nice small but very enjoyable zoo! I have been to alot of zoo's but this one has a unique touch. They have a boat ride and there are 5 small islands with primates on them. How cool is that no fence just chilling on there little island! The guide was very informative and made the ride very enjoyable 😉. They have lots of different animals there . They also have giraffes and you can feed them. Starting price 3 leafs 🍃 for 5 dollars. Many staff are through out the zoo giving lots of information on different things. The garden area is beautiful with information on the plants. If you haven't been here it's a great place to spend an afternoon. They are also expanding this year !

We love the Zoo! Naples Zoo is no exception. So glad we came today when the weather was nice and cool. Lots of animals moving around more than usual. The orangutans are a beautiful and welcome addition to our zoo days. The two younger orangutans were very playful in front of the viewing window today and absolutely made our day. Thank you to all the wonderful zookeepers out to chat with and ask questions. We love learning all about the animals we come to see. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Went a few days ago, beautiful little zoo. Many animals I have never seen before! Ant eaters, Fosa and Bongos! Giraffe feeding was great, and the animals looked reasonably happy and not stressed. Highlight was definetly the Boat ride to Monkey Island. Captained by a young fellow who was very knowledgeable and answered curious passenger questions as we looked at different primates! Highly recommend this Zoo. A must do in Naples

Places like this shouldn't exist. We were here on a 90°+ day, it was miserable. Animals were obviously stressed. There was a lot of pacing. You would think that being one of the richest cities in the country they would have a top notch zoo. I'm from Chicago. The Brookfield Zoo makes this place look like a prison for animals.

This place was a lot more fun than on my first visit a month or so ago. The Feel like temperature was " this water is too dad gum hot for me to take a bath in". It was very pleasant today. And the animals agreed. The tiger was up walking around as well as the Florida panther. The honey badgers look like the keeper had given them a couple of Red Bulls by mistake. They were running and jumping and were a delight to watch. Doug captained our pontoon boat for the primate Cruise. He was knowledgeable and quite entertaining. I was actually hoping that he would stop the boat and make someone walk the plank, saying, " ARG, matey. May god have mercy on his soul." And then I remembered he had said at the beginning of our cruise that there were no alligators in lake Victoria. ( I suspect that is the reason he did not make anybody walk the plank.) It would have been very entertaining unless it would have been me. There were a couple of terrific presentations in the Safari theater. My grandchildren grew weary before the 3:00 alligator feeding. We left about 90 minutes before feeding time, but the alligators were already lined up waiting for a table.

I’ve visited many zoos in the past 5 years and had memberships at 3. This is by far the cleanest zoo bathrooms I’ve ever seen. The boat ride to see the monkeys and lemurs (included with the price) was an excellent touch and a bit of magic to the trip. The animals seemed pretty happy and the gardens were very floral with thing in bloom even in Jan. Air of fun. Will be back.

Great Zoo, wish that so much of it wasn't closed during the Covid reopening. it was worth the money but a very short trip through the Zoo. We spent more time driving from fort Myers that it took to go through.

Not a bad little zoo, it is just too hot for the animals and people, of course it's Florida but it would be nice to have cooling mist fans throughout the park.

  • 5/5 Paige R. 6 years ago on Google
It's worth warning and knowing that there are animals you won't be abled to see outside of their shows. For instance the monkeys are on their own little islands on the free 15 minute boat tour and ONLY on the boat tour. There's other live shows too with other animals, so you should make sure to keep the show scheduled they hand you in mind. Besides looking at the animals there's masny optional things to do, you can ride camels($5?), feed giraffes($5), feed the fish/birds($0.25), be in a weather simulation standing tube ($2), get souvenir coins ($5 or 4 for $15), see live show (free), go on a 15 min boat ride (free), or shop in their souvenir shop. There's also signs all around the zoo that will tell you a lot about things like the animals! It's sma lost that zoos up north thast I've been to, but it was worth the visit in my opinion.

Great little zoo for animals that have been rescued and rehabilated. You can go here with family and friends or even on a date with a significant other :) My husband and I were visiting family in Estero so we all went together and the weather and atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous!! So many beautiful and interesting animals/creatures! You can go on a boat to monkey island for free, feed giraffes lettuce $5, ride a camel for $7 and even check out the gift shop! Love this zoo!! 💜

Great place to stop in and experience if you're in the area and need something to do. Friendly and helpful staff. Part of your ticket cost is donated to helping animals in other areas. Has a neat little boat tour to the islands in the lake where the monkeys are! They have these super cool statues of animals built from legos and each one has informative facts about the animals as well as how many Lego blocks are in each one. Wheel chairs and wagons available too. Gift shop is pricey, but that is expected at every zoo

We were back yesterday. There were very many Lego animals. I am not sure they were really Legos but they were very similar. This is a traveling exhibit and move on at some point in the future. I just don't know when. My grandchildren were quite taken by this. One of the pieces looked as if it had been assaulted by some jerk; several of the Legos were missing. He probably fed them to the ibises. or maybe the ibises assaulted the figure and ate them primarily. When we sat down at a table to have lunch, the ibises were begging worse than my dog. The Florida panther was very active yesterday. My son-in-law did not make the trip because he stayed home waiting to sign for a package that FedEx never delivered. The alligator feeding was very disappointing, but amazing nonetheless. Two of the keepers were just walking around amongst the alligators as if they had no fear of being eaten. They threw some kind of homemade vitamin ball to the alligators. One of the keepers look like he was hand feeding an alligator. I was really hoping to see them crunch up a bunch of chickens or turkeys or larger critter, but that didn't happen. Oh, well. Oh! The giraffe exhibit is open. The giraffes reticulated pattern is unique, just like the hindquarter of a zebra or a human fingerprint. It is past time to say goodbye to reality TV and come to the zoo.

The grounds of this zoo/ garden are beautiful. They are currently easing back into being open, therefore many attractions are closed. However, popular animals such as bears, tiger and lions are easily observed. This is a small zoo and can be done under an hour, especially due to some attractions being closed. Currently you have to buy tickets ahead of time on-line to reserve an entrance spot.

There is a small shop to buy drinks and snacks and a little area where you can sit down and eat. Although it's not necessarily a large zoo, you still get the satisfaction as if you went to a large zoo, like the Bronx zoo.

The upstairs had a pretty neat giant globe and they explain all the planets which was cool. But i did, honestly think thst the price of admission was too high for what you got. My 9 year old was satisfied with the visit, so if you have kids that age it is geared alot towards that age

Great small sized zoo! There was a good variety of animals. There is a boat ride included in the price of admission. You ride this to view the primate exhibit. The primates are not in cages, rather on their own islands in a lake. The snack prices and meal prices are expensive as you would expect at a zoo, however the quality of the meals is worth the price and comparative to prices at other restaurants in the city. There are building block displays throughout the zoo of different animals. Great visit and worth the price of admission.

Our family loves Naples Zoo. It is such a well cared for little zoo and we really love all we can see and learn about every time we visit. We were also surprised and delighted to see the LEGO animals exhibit. We can’t wait to go back again!

The zoo itself is very peaceful, relaxing, and not overcrowded. Alot if the animals were sleeping when we went but thats not the zoos fault that just happens. The main reason I left the low star review was for 3 key things. 1. We were at an exhibit and there was an animal in it but no sign. There was also an attendant in the cage. We asked multiple times and even talked amongst ourselves trying to figure out what the animal was and the staff member never even responded. If you don't know atleast say it but not responding just made us feel ignored. 2. Food simply put LIMITED options I left starving lol 3. The biggest Issue I had was we spent money to feed the giraffes and the in-house photographer was taking pictures. She gave us cards after to take upfront to view and purchase pictures. We were here for my Nieces birthday and we had planned to purchase numerous pictures. We get upfront and give the lady the cards and someone else's pictures show up. She starts skimming through looking for ours and then said they messed up the cards and they do this everyday so everyone has the wrong numbers. I just have to scan through all the pictures until I find yours. We decided not to wait then she blew my mind again by saying I can pull them up online. I asked how if we don't have the right numbers. She said we can just put in the day and look through EVERYONES pictures online. I hate that and don't think our pictures shpuld be so freely just posted online. I especially don't remember signing a release for that either. This really bugs me and I believe it's wrong and might even be illegal without the customers permission or some type of release statement when you enter saying any picture taken by staff of you is free game for the internet

The zoo is probably a 4. The experience a 2, in non COVID times it's probably a 4 as well. Nice relatively quick yet still leisurely stroll. Interesting exhibits. The mixed rating is purely because 99% of everyone (adults and their children) showed no interest in protecting themselves or those around them with any social distancing or mask use. No where else in the state have i seen so few people take an interest in being health considerate of others. There were signs, but people make different choices sometimes. I get that. I didn't fuss at anyone for their personal choices. Still go here, just know the deal, it is a very nice place and everyone (ALL) we're still polite and enjoying the day. No one was imposing their positions on anyone.

We were so excited to take our toddler to the Naples Zoo. He had never been to a zoo before and I was excited for him to see all the animals. I was super disappointed when I realized more than half of the “animals” there were built out of legos. The exhibits they do have are nice, and the animals look well taken care of, but for the amount we paid for tickets ($46 for two adults with kids under two getting in for free) it was disheartening that there was so little to this zoo. I’ve been to much bigger zoos, with larger exhibits, events and all live animals that cost half as much. Parents should definitely be forewarned about the variety of live animals before purchasing tickets. On the positive side, we enjoyed the giraffe feeding ($5 for a ticket plus some for the food you give to the giraffes).

The Naples Zoo is a great place to spend the day. The boat tour of Monkey Island is a must. Plus -as a bonus- you get to enjoy the zoo animals, amongst Florida's wildlife in an amazing tropical botanical garden! The first plantings were done by botanist and ornithologist Dr. Henry Nehrling back in 1919.

Heidi at the front entrance went above and beyond our entire time to make us feel welcomed and special! Every employee we crossed paths with offered a smile and directed us to the best angle to see each exhibit they were near. The park was super clean and well laid out. The animals all were out and about and seemed happy and interacted with the families visiting! Doesn’t brake the bank when it comes to pricing either! Our children are aged 10 months to 12 years old and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!

Such a great place for a date! Wonderful place to spend the afternoon. We had so much fun exploring and learning about the animals. I felt like a kid all over again! The shows and educational exhibits of the animals were so interesting and it wasn't too much walking either. I also loved how they shared all the ways they keep the animals as close to their everyday life in the wild as to not punish them in what we see as captivity. They had the best soft pretzels (and I'm from Philly!) and also a real healthy quinoa salad that was packed with goodness! I will definitely be back real soon and maybe even for an annual membership!!!

Loved this zoo. I like how all the animals were pretty close together so the walking wasn't a hike to get from one animal to the next. The monkey island cruise was a good time. I got to feed a giraffe some romaine lettuce. It cost $5 to do that but to me it was totally worth it. That was my favorite part of the whole experience. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and they have the best zoo in my humble opinion but this is a close second.

It was the highlight of our year! Beautiful, relaxing, clean park. Helpful staff. Wonderful and captivating animals who all looked happy and healthy.

A beautiful setting. Very nicely laid out. The boat ride to see the primates was very informative. Cool Lego animals throughout the park.

Nice "little" zoo. Animals were not very active the day that we were there. FEED THE GIRAFFE!!! THE KIDS LOVE IT! Call ahead to get the feeding schedule - there were some unhappy youngsters that missed feeding time. Costs $5 to feed the Giraffes. Lots of very cool LEGO displays

It was SUPER crowded when we went but it was still so much fun. It was clean and flowed well. It doesn't take long to complete the entire park but there was a lot to see and explore.

Great zoo with a unique jungle cruise past several monkey islands to see them up close that is included in the price. Smaller than most zoos I have been to but very inviting and personal and the animals were active in the morning. Be sure to feed the giraffes. Neat lego animal displays throughout the park as well that kids will enjoy.

Amazing little zoo in the Naples area. Loved the day experience. You can cover it under 4 hrs and at the same time you can be here for the day if you hit all the presentations. Staff are very friendly.

Small zoo but densely populated by beautiful animals! You get to look right at the eye of the tiger and feed the giraffes with fresh romaine lettuce. The keepers are introducing the different ways to take care and train the animals, you will even see them feeding the gators like doggies! Is the best way to spend a day in Naples!

  • 5/5 Darren W. 2 years ago on Google
Great zoo! Lots of scheduled activities/shows/trainer talks. There is a really cool Lego exhibit of giant Lego animals all over the zoo! They also have an entrance on the outside so you don't have to go through the gift shop if you don't want to with Covid.

It's been quite a while since I was last here & I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really enjoyed the zoo! It's just the right size with just the right amount of exhibits to see. Looking forward to going back the next time I am in town!

This zoo is probably one of my all time favorites. The foliage within the zoo is impressive in itself. Many of the animals have adequate room in their enclosures. I saw almost all the animals, which usually doesn’t happen when I go to zoos. They’re usually hiding. However we didn’t get to see Monkey Island as there was soo many people in line. They need another boat or something. Very sad about Eko. My heart goes out to all the employees & those involved. I recommend this zoo for anyone thinking about going!

Saw honey badger, mt lion (=puma), giant anteater and other great animals. Visited feeding/training of gators. I saw the sitted show where staff showed few animals and described how they train the animals. I also took a boat tour to Monkey Island (included in the ticket). Highly recommend!

It’s a small zoo, but it will definitely be a longish day trip with all the foliage and the interesting boat tour the zoo has to offer. The family came during construction, but we will be back to see what new additions the Naples Zoo will offer next time.

I so love this place I would travel all the way from my country “Belize” just to visit this place. Been my favorite zoo since 2014. Sad that some of the animals that was their back then aren’t alive anymore but was nice to see some new faces and some familiar ones. I must say I love the new updates they added around the zoo. So eye capturing.

I was definitely satisfied to be here. If there was a place to go this is the place I would want to be. And so I had to go somewhere and that's why I went. And when I was there I was there. And so if you need a place to be then I would go there because it's the place to be.

Good Zoo, kids love it but every cafeteria should have a tent or something to cover from the sun while waiting in line to order. Summer is very hot and intense in Fl! The cruise for see monkeys is very nice!

We had a wonderful morning at the Naples zoo. There is lots to do and my 3 and 7 year old granddaughter loved it. It's a small zoo and we were able to see it in less than 2 hours. I highly recommend this zoo.

The perfect place to visit when your entering a 6 year old and staying on Marco Island… a short easy drive over to experience an amazing property, enjoy a very good show with live animals capable of holding everyones attention. I was very impressed with all of the outreach programs they are involved in around the world… a must support zoo!

I love this zoo, it's smaller, but in a good way, you can see everything in a day and not be to tired. The layout is cool and well planned. Cleveland zoo (where I am from)!is great , but it's huge comparatively, and can't really do it in a day (with a toddler)

  • 4/5 Cory B. 1 year ago on Google
Naples Zoo is a nice little zoo with a decent selection of animals. It was much smaller than I anticipated, with a few long stretches between animals. I'd suggest getting to the boat excursion earlier in the morning. Either the 9:20 or 9:50 boat is least crowded with less wait time. There is lots of construction of new exhibits coming over the next few years including orangutans, tapir, capybara, and more South American species, plus a new family zoo and zoo entrance. Looking forward to coming back when it's all finished.

Great family spot. Would recommend going in the morning because I went when it was hot and lots of animals were hiding away. Free Boat Cruise included to view monkeys, good family time. $23 each for adult

  • 5/5 Jing 1 year ago on Google
I personally enjoyed the tropical plants in the zoo the most and my kids enjoyed the birds and crocodiles. The primate cruise was a fun way to visit the primates on little islands. The kids also spent a lot of time at the large playground at the zoo entrance.

We really love this little zoo! It packs more surprises than you might expect. It's definitely unique compared to other bigger zoos. GI early in the morning to hear the Gibbons, it's a lot of fun! The monkey boat tour is sometime you should experience as well as feeding the giraffes. It's a beautiful zoo/botanical garden with a big variety of animals including being one of only 4 zoos in the country with honey badgers! And the shows in the outdoor auditorium are something every zoo should have!

  • 5/5 Freddie M. 1 year ago on Google
I love this zoo! The monkey boat is a necessity. The giraffe feeding is so cool to watch even if you don’t do it. The giraffe feeding is 5$ extra but the monkey boat is free and takes about 20 minutes. The zookeepers are amazing and they seem to have an amazing zookeeper to animal ration. The zoo is a nonprofit and supports giving back to multiple conservation groups, especially lemur conservation in Madagascar.

We went on Sunday, February 26th, 2023. I wasn't too impressed and was actually a bit disappointed as a lot of the animals we wanted to see were not in their habitats. In my opinion, it's really not worth the $21 per person admission fee. Especially for such a tourist hot spot like Naples.

  • 5/5 Michael L. 1 year ago on Google
Always a good time at the zoo. Of course, I am biased cause I love zoos and aquariums. It looks like the Naples zoo is making some nice additions to the entrance and some new exhibits. 👍👍

  • 5/5 Emily R. 1 year ago on Google
We did a boat tour to see the primates, walked along beautiful paths and enjoyed food at the Cafe. The giraffes weren't hungry, otherwise it was the perfect day

  • 1/5 Latesha J. 9 months ago on Google
If I could give it a -5 stars, I would. This was the worst zoo we have ever been to. The animals we saw, which were not many, were very sad and depressed looking. It was obviously very hot out, and although the animals had shade, they didn't seem to have any visible water sources and the cages did not have any natural habitats. The lions had no caves and were just laying out in the dirt. We love going to zoo's, but this zoo displayed why so many people are AGAINST zoo's. The poor animals we saw just did not look well cared for at all. The staff we saw out in zoo did not engage with us at all. No one was walking around with animals giving out information like advertised. This was extremely overpriced for what we experienced. Hopefully, the $100 we spent will be used wisely to help better care for the animals.

Fun day, but timing is everything. Bring bug spray and a hat during the summer. Weather in the area determines if the boat tour to see monkeys is in operation or not. Any sign of lightning it will be closed. They have a nice playground next to concession stand. Food is good for both adults and kids. Just be aware that there are birds that are lurking for scraps. Don't feed the birds!!!

We were here on the day after thanksgiving and it was great, perfect weather, not terribly crowded! Do not listen to the karen that says it’s not stroller friendly, I was anxious about that part when I read her review, so not true, incredibly stroller friendly, strollers everywhere. Feeding the giraffes was worth it, please take the boat ride. We spent three hours here with an eight month old. It was worth the money, the memories are worth every penny. Small but amazing zoo.

This zoo was such a pleasant surprise Like all of the other Florida zoos, it is amazing. Even if you don't love the animals, you will love the beautiful trees and plants. It's stunning and the animals seem very happy

A must-see in SWFL. Beautiful, well-groomed historic garden with a well kept walking path and informative signs to explain what you are looking at along the way. Make sure to bring your camera for many post card worthy pictures. Several concession stands throughout the grounds offering snacks and a few beverages. Modest outdoor counter service Cafe near the entrance with picnic tables and a playground nearby. Stroller and wheelchair friendly. A couple restrooms throughout. Overall a great way to spend a day whether you are alone and taking in the scenery, with friends or family. Any age should appreciate the experience!

Had the chance to visit the Naples Zoo years ago. Going through my pictures reminded me that this zoo exists. Adding to my list of places to visit again. It was a great experience for my family and I. I recommend for parents to bring their kids to the Naples Zoo, so they can learn about animals and nature.

The Naples Zoo continues to reinvent itself to keep us all coming back again and again. Today’s visit revealed to me the extraordinary South America exhibit. They have done an outstanding job with beautiful habitats. AND the expanded glass observation wall is awesome. They’ve introduced new, must see animals like the tapir! And I want to pull up a chair to watch the orangutans 🦧 all day. They are so entertaining. I caught the littlest one being acrobatic with her new scarf. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

What we loved most was how tropical this zoo was! The highlight for the kids was definitely being able to feed the giraffe! More hands on for kids with animals would be nice. For the price it’s a bit expensive for the size of the park. The playground was also a highlight at the end for the kids. We didn’t get to do the boat tour to see the monkeys which was a bummer. It was closed because of gusty winds.

I took my significant other there and he loved it. That was our first time and we both enjoyed it. There was a boat ride with a presentation, plenty of exotic animals to see and many interesting facts. It was a wholesome experience. Our saleslady was very nice and resourceful. Thank you
