What a wonderful experience for adults as well as children. We had an excellent tour from a very knowledgeable "trainsman" who showed us many interactive buttons we could push and make the train exhibit come to life. We also bought a personalized brick to help the Museum. Well worth the trip anytime.

Great for kids. We spent almost 4 hours there and kids were happy. Interactive buttons is great idea! You can ride it’s train as many times as you want.

Such a unique and fascinating place! My 4yo was absolutely enchanted. He really loved all of the model trains, especially the ones decked out for Christmas. Also he loved being able to control the features in the train garden and riding the mini train. Pictures do not do this place justice. The volunteers were extremely helpful and enthusiastic. A must see for anyone who likes trains and the charm of a scale village from yesteryear.

We love all 5 Collier County Museums. The train depot museum is probably our favorite because it has more things that we are interested in although we like all the others quite a bit as well. There is always an exhibit going on in The gallery at the back of the museum and usually it's quite interesting to see and sometimes there are events as well. It really is a transportation museum with airplanes and land boats and locomotives all just on display.

Anyone anyone who loves model trains will love this Museum. Even kids who couldn't care less about trains love watching them go around, pushing buttons and trying to figure out what just started moving, and riding the outdoor train. The inside room is quite crowded and narrow, not for claustrophobic people or those with mobility issues

Great activity for kids. The volunteers are so friendly and great with kids. The train ride outside is fun. It goes around the parking lot, takes only a few minutes. Ride as many times as you’d like. The inside is interactive and fun, however it’s small. I can get about an hour out of my 2 year old when we visit. I wish it was open more days of the week!

It was actually open on Sunday because of the art fair. And I got to see some history that buildings been there since 1920 and was a train station Depot. Pretty cool stuff and very simple for its time. Thanks to the ladies that guided us and let us know that it was a free self-guided tour.

This is not my first time visiting with my daughter and granddaughter and it is always a great experience. No technology, no sophistication , just traditional museum visit to experience our history .

Grandson loves trains. Only place in the Southwest Florida area where he can ride on a model train. Staff is super friendly.
