We played Old Corkscrew 3 days ago and i have never been this dissapointed in a golf course. staff, range and course were all excellent. the greens were the worst that i have ever seen and i play in chicago. they were rock hard and impossible to make a true roll with your putt due to the horrendous conditions of the greens. see pictures attached. it was towards the end of the round that i started documenting the greens with pictures. almost all of them were this bad. in my opinion i think that you would be happier playing anywhere else for half the money.

It's a tough course so bring your short game! It's in great shape and very scenic. It's another great Southwest Florida Golf course.

Fun, challenging course. Green complexes are definitely “complex”. I like more challenging courses, but I’m not looking to get beat up. This course fits the bill. Nice friendly staff, and the food was excellent. And if you want to get an alligator experience, play here. The course is located in an alligator estuary. We even had an alligator walk out of the brush on the 18th tee, right in front of our cart!

A beautiful and challenging course. A little pricey this time of year especially when the greens are top dressed, but it's an amazing golf experience. Some of the most picturesque holes in the area. A must stop for any vacationing golfers.

Service was amazing, every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome as first time guests. We went out before the sun was up. The course is stunning, scenic in every direction. The course is challenging, beware of the bunkers, there are many and they are relentless. We enjoyed the day, highly recommend.

Really enjoyed playing this golf course in February. Green grass and fairways. Very tight course but with a variety of tees to accommodate any type player. Service staff was very helpful to include the pro shop, starter, and especially the snack bar ladies. unlimited range balls with your green fees. Probably not going to be a walk-on everyday onto this course at about $200 per round, but well worth putting this course on your list if you and your buddies are on a golf outing.

We wrre at Old Corkscrew for a junior golf tournament. My son played in a practice round on the day before and then two rounds over the weekend. During our visit several of the greens were under attack by a disease which impacted their playability. However, the course itself is a spectacular layout with challenging drivable par fours par fives you can attack and plenty of risk reward opportunities. A good player has a shot to break par or make a few mistakes and not break 90. As you're driving to the facility you drive through some construction area that makes it hard to believe there's such a great course sitting back here but it's there and it's worth the trip. I'm certain we will be back to play it again as it was a great track and we look forward to seeing it when they get the greens back in top condition. Beyond the course, the staff was absolutely great to deal with in the snack bar as starters and in the Pro shop. Absolutely everybody we came in can contact with was a pleasure to deal with and helped make it a great weekend at their facility.

Old Corkscrew is the best public access golf course in SW FL. It's a must play when you're in the area!

This is one of the most beautiful courses in Florida, and I love playing here whenever I get back to Bonita Springs. It's challenging and forgiving at the same time. Everyone who works here is friendly and more than helpful. Hope you have a blast and make sure to take buddies.

One of the best courses you will find in the area. It is very challenging with tons of bunkers and water, smaller undulating greens and a lot of forced carries. The scenery and layout is wonderful. Price is a bit steep but that's what you get in the area.

I recently experienced an outstanding round at Old Corkscrew Golf Club with a group of 8. The course layout is both phenomenal and challenging, providing a secluded feel without houses or buildings. The staff’s exceptional attitudes and attention to detail, from the starter to the pro shop employees, made the experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, and the overall value was well worth the price. I’m eagerly looking forward to returning whenever I’m in the Estero or Naples area. A five-star experience all around!

Prettiest course we’ve played in Florida! Jack Nicklaus designed course and the starter said he thinks he was in a bad mood when he designed it 😊 it is tough. The sand traps and water seem to have magnetic fields that call your ball (although I managed to play the same ball the whole round). We noticed a panther crossing sign less than 2 miles from the course and asked the starter about that too. He said they don’t see them much, kinda like alligators. Ummm… we’ve seen lots of alligators 🐊 on courses, including as soon as hole #2! But no panthers! Course was in great shape. Assumed the greens would be way faster than they were. I just read earlier reviews about the greens and a recent disease. They’ve recovered. We did not notice any of that today.

Totally agreed with many reviewers that this is a very challenging, pricey, and yet beautiful golf course! Blended with natural beauties and crowned designs of the greens and fairways, this course challenges you from tee to greens on almost every hole. The greens are small with big elevation changes and plenty of hidden undulations. Fairways are narrow and protected with many bunckers strategically placed. Some fairways of the holes get narrower when approaching the greens. No doubt it challenges you in every club of your bag especially your short games. This is a pricey course even during the summer times. Another big plus is its GPS which is the best I have seen since it's customized to privde good navigations from hole to hole. Range is complimentary.

What a great golf course to play. This can be one of your best places to play or your worse. The layout is perfect. This is a golfer’s course. The greens are alway fast and quick. Love it here.

Value not there, the summer rate is what the winter rate should be. Greens are in huge trouble. I remember why we don't play it as often as we used too. Still a good layout and usually friendly staff.

$220 rate for $100 (at best) course. Every green looks like a cow pasture. Every bunker more mud than sand. Pathetic. Last time I play at “Florida’s best course”. Save your money and play another course at 1/2 the price.

Great course. Sand traps were tough on me but loved the course

Best golf course I have ever been to! We had a large group come in to play 2 rounds and they took care of us from ensuring everything was organized for mini games all the way through helping us switch between the rounds (all while giving us lunch)! The course was one of the hardest I have ever played but so much fun and especially beautiful. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to be back!

A must play course. In excellent condition considering all the rain recently. Staff was friendly and very informative considering it was my first time playin this course. Price is fair a real treat.

I love this course. This is where I take all my good golfer friends. The course is tough, but fair. It is truly a Jack Nicklaus' design course with all the beauty that comes with it, highly recommended.

I was really looking forward to playing here but it was a complete disappointment. Greens were covered in sand and slow (wouldn't have played had they shared that the greens were top dressed when I was booking a tee time). They must've taken all the sand out of the bunkers and put it on the greens because the bunkers were just 1" thick play-doh. Greens and fairways were in poor condition too. Just overall disappointed in the course conditions and I won't go back and play. The 2 stars is for the property. Gorgeous with lots of nature. They should just offer nature tours and safari rides instead

Played 9/4/22, 2:45pm tee time, member day pass $110 Course was in excellent shape. Greens speeds were consistent, and the fairways as good as I’ve ever seen. I was surprised by the lack of ball washers, but not a big deal. It was very hot and steamy, but there are a few ice and water dispensers spread throughout the course. I’ll say that the course is beautiful with an abundance of wildlife. Difficulty wise, I found it fair. In comparison, I played Tiburon 3 weeks ago, and I found Old Corkscrew to be much easier. That being said, Old Corkscrew is a much nicer course and I enjoyed it a lot. Hope to be back soon. I found it to be of good value when compared to the courses in my area.

How anyone could give a bad review of this course is beyond me. Although pricey, it was worth the price. Very windy the day we played made it even more of a challenge. Tee to green was long but fair. Greens rolled great. 2 of us played whites, 2 from greens, very different courses from these tees. Highly recommend this course, would rather play 1 round here instead of 2 rounds at hibiscus! V
