Freedom park is handicap friendly, very nice walking paths. Boardwalk is to the right, 1 full loop with tons of amazing swamp and Lookout docks. Left side is a multi lake loops with over water walkways and docks. Looked like you could fish but it was catch and release only. Watch for gators! Super clean and great place to enjoy nature

Beautiful greenspace for walking, relaxing, and seeing nature. Educational stops along the paths and lots of different trees and animals to see. If you go at different times of the day, you are sure to see or hear something different each time. Lots of pond apple trees and coco plum trees along the boardwalk areas. Definitely a great place to visit if you are from out of town and want to see the different plants and animals living here. This trip we heard 2 Barred Owls communicating and lots of woodpeckers and mockingbirds. We also spotted blue jays and cardinals. Lots of rabbits hopping around in the Palmetto palms. We saw an Anhinga under the pier we were standing on. Lots of Lubber grasshoppers on the trees and in the mud. You can fish in the ponds but it is catch and release only. Lots of beautiful plants and trees that are native to Southwest Florida, the Gumbo Limbo tree is always a favorite to see.

We didn’t have time to do a lot of exploring, but we went a little ways over the boardwalk and then around some of the water views and to see the flag. This place is huge. The flag is amazing. We will definitely be back! Bring water if you go in the heat, there is some shade as you walk but a lot of it is open to the sun!

Awesome Hidden Gem in the center of Naples. Very near the Mall, The Zoo, across the street really. A great park with paved hiking trails throughout a beautiful Eco Park. Created as a solution for storm water reclamation, used to water naples! The water is filtered naturally through a series of lakes to then be used for watering naples. Signs explain this in the Eco Park. Catch and Release Only Freshwater Fishing is welcomed. This is why I visit the park. One of the only city offered fishing areas smack dab in the center of naples. I fish for 30mins to and hour before work. Take a walk around, breath the air, see the wildlife which is abundant! There is also a veteran memorial located in the park. Great place to take children to burn energy, get fresh air and exercise! You can see tons of birds, fish, tortoise, turtles, sometimes small Alligators, not huge scary Alligators, small cute Alligators! Herons, Bunnies, Non Venomous Snakes & possible Rattlesnakes but they're mostly hiding very well off trails. You may see a cute little Ringnecked Snake or a beautiful Orange Corn Snake as I did one afternoon both very Docile & Safe to admire. Nature all in the center of naples. Just a short drive from anywhere in naples. Just past the Naples Gopher Tortoise Preserve & Mall. I suggest you visit early morning to witness the beauty and have a chance to see more wildlife. Bring a small fishing pole and some kids & teach them how to fish here where it's safe and has boardwalks to fish from above the water and secure. Great place to learn how to fish for children and adults. Just throw your line and trash away and leave the park as you found it... CLEAN...

The best Collier County Park for walking and nature views. Elevated wooden boardwalks meander through the Royal Palms and large cypress. A separated paved loop trail wraps around several lakes. An interpretive center and restrooms are near the entry parking lot. Take a short walk and visit the 9-11 Freedom Memorial. Must see park, and best of all it is free.

A beautiful, safe and convenient place to go whenever one wants a bit of space amongst nature not too far from the city centre! Husband and I went for a mid morning stroll and was just perfect! Lots to see and experience, nature galore and very clean organised paths!

A nice boardwalk park within the city, a miniature version of corkscrew. The left side is the pond boardwalk, whereas the right side is the marshland boardwalk. Both r enjoyable. Don't rush, take ur time to be with nature.

A place to visit and mourn and pay respect to the heroes and victims of the tragic event. I vividly recall the shock and scenes of that day and how soon the event is being buried intentionally. Standing almost alone is this quiet memorial and observing a person obviously mourning a particular victim/hero (everyone has a brick with their names on- no picture taken for respecting of privacy), I cannot feeling saddened for all of them. An adjacent natural preserve is worth visiting if you are here. The tranquility of the preserve is a good surrounding for our victims/heroes.

The best part about this park is the 911 memorial. It is stunning the Gwinnett flag amazing itself sits on top of a outline of the United States. This is the freedom waters. There’s three benches for the areas hit. There are all the states representative and lots of names. It is an amazing tribute. The rest of the park is also very nice.

Good park for an easy stroll. A couple of short trails that are paved or boardwalk style. Beautiful 9/11 Memorial is worth a stop by itself. Confused whether the dogs are allowed. Sign in the parking lot shows no dogs but there are dog bag stations in the trail.

It was a beautiful park well maintained veey clean . Nature trails walkways and lots of wildlife aligator turtles and snake, but its very safe nice paved paths and boardwalks, so there are no worries. Suggest they poat more signs to exit or distance left on trails but not very difficult to find way out

Love going here for walks, the scenery and wildlife are lovely. Unfortunately, we did come across a dead snake near the monument. It's crazy how lively the park can be; if you pay close attention to it. We found bird's, spiders, a lot of snakes, no rabbits this time, medium sized fish, and turtles. In the first two photos, the snake was actively hunting the small pack of fishies. As of March 2, 2022, it appears that the snake population lowered the large population of rabbits the park had before. I'm predicting the rabbit population to rise back again somewhere this year?

A nice half an hour walk during the cool months of the year. Real Florida with alligators and fish The walk is well maintained with a nice trail. It also has the restroom and a small museum

This park is magnificent. The trails are well keep, the peaceful resting gazebo are beautiful, and the park attendant is wonderful. I'll definitely return here.

Great walking trails. Spotted an alligator having turtle for lunch. Does get hot and not a ton of shade in most areas. Kids love looking for wildlife and little nature center has some cool skeletons and such

Great place to walk boardwalks through mangroves and trails and bridges around several small lakes and ponds. Plenty of wildlife to see usually. . Amazing environment carved out in the middle of all the hustle-bustle.

👍 Great hike! I recommend in the summer because you're going to get wet, most of the hike is through the river/creek. I took my dog, younger children, and my mom. This is an adventure for everyone in the family, all ages!
