Up close and personal views of the rescue animals they have here. Fed the Giraffe and Camel. Quite the collection of venemous snakes. The porcupine, hyena and anteater were crowd favorites. Animals are well taken care of, socialized so you can touch must of them.

I cannot day enough amazing things about NGALA!! We had a rehearsal dinner and it exceeded all expectations. The animals were beautiful and extremely well cared for. We were able to feed/pet a giraffe, rhino, camel, baby alligator, and anteater. Our 2-year old had his β€œbest day ever” and our wedding party was blown away by the beauty of NGALA! Would love to see it at night - with the beautiful lights. Even the restrooms made you think you were on Safari in Africa. Simply amazing!

Fully understand how different facilities have to alter their way to generate some income, this was a very cool experience for NYE. Tables Distance apart, open air bar, single female artist (who was very well playing multiple instruments) while dinner was being prepared and eaten. The store and zoo itself was closed leaving the main activities outdoors under a massive tent. I have been in the 🐚 factory before. Every kind of shell and tourist item. Save yourself time and forget the sand from the beach and trashing your vehicle, make a memory and support your local businesses. Definately a memorable NYE event.

This place is so fun for adults and kids. The outdoor zoo is perfect for having something fun to do during covid. Everyone wore masks as asked and people distanced. I’d recommend it for everyone. The stores were clean. (The bathroom wasn’t great but I don’t fault them, people can be gross) We watched an outdoor band while having a drink too. Just a great day all around. Thanks.

We had a corporate event at NGALA, it was an amazing night with entertainment by Kobake! It is very obvious the staff love the animals and they took the time to education the attendees about NGALA. We had the opportunity to interact with a few of the animals. They care for the well being of the animals and would not bring out any of the animals to a corporate event if the animal was unwell or stressed. The animals love the interaction and the attention they get from the attendees. Not to mention all the carrots we were able to feed the animals. NGALA did explain that they are not open to the public as a way to preserve the wildlife.

The other night we spent an evening at Ngala Wildlife Preserve. It was an exceptional over the top event. We learned how they care for the animals with most of them being rescued. Ringo the Camel has been with them since a little after he was born with Blue Eyes and Spots and the mother would not accept him nor feed him, so they bottle fed him and he is now 19 years old. All the animals are well cared for and love the interaction with the people. Its a private Wildlife Preserve which does events occasionally to raise money for the care of the animals. Would highly recommend.

Lots of things to see and do. A great place for mini golf, watching some wild life, and grabbing some delicious food to eat. It's always fun to browse the shops and look for those one of a kind shell treasures!

Expected a 6/10 and it was a solid 7.5. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great place to take kids. Animal variety was unique and fun. Bumper boats were hurt but fine. Kids loved the carousel. Fun to see so many turtles. Their process for checking in and buying tickets is way too complicated but appreciated the a la carte menu so you don’t have to buy what you don’t want to do. Waited forever for our food at the restaurant.

  • 4/5 Shirley F. 3 years ago on Google
Gumbo fest was going on, fun, but only the vendors were wearing masks and it was an unsafe covid environment. Dwayne Dopsie And the Z band was awesome and worth the trip. Store is overpriced, but a good souvenirs shop.

I was disappointed this trip. It has went down over the years. The fudge shop was just like it was. Delucious as usual. The outdoor bar needs work and the bartenders need to learn how to mix daquiris.yuk!
