Went out today on a day off to enjoy the beautiful cooler weather in nature. Havent been to this park in a while and wasn't disappointed. Beautiful trails and gorgeous huge oak trees. Saw several squirrels, heard a cardinal and sat on a bench looking out over the river. What a gorgeous day to get out in nature. We walked about 3 miles. Thank you Lee County for preserving such a beautiful area. 3 trails to choose from and even a nice trail along the river.

Convenient parking and entrance to walking trails. Clean restrooms at entrance. The short trail to the river ( .85 miles)was not handicap friendly. It is a gravel/dirt path with a few boardwalk sections and therefore, it is not good for wheelchairs or people using walkers. The trail itself was great! Interesting with good views of the river. Enjoyed our visit!

Very well maintained park. Small bathroom at parking. You have to be a fairly good mountain bike rider to go here even on the easy trails, although you can skip some of the jumps, etc. I feel like you could easily get lost to be honest, if you don't pay attention... 1 way route so technically no turning around if uncomfortable... Ended up taking the service road back... Highly recommend having A GPS...LIGHT BACK pack..and some water and a good cell phone charge... did about.6.5 miles of trail in 50 mins....there is way more... For a biking enthusiast, it's amazing. For a novice.. you better go with people that know the trails. I'm in between...and felt a little uncomfortable. 🤷‍♀️

Park is beautiful but very odd behavior of people pulling in and sitting in their cars. My car got my window smashed here and purse, wallet, identity stolen here in a matter of 30 min. Will never go to this park again. However, well maintained and nice campsites.

Wonderful and unique little camp ground. There are shower huts around the entire campground (without hot water) then a bathhouse at the front with 2 warm water showers. There are many short hiking trails surrounding the campground (about 3-4 miles). One goes along the river which is very beautiful. We didn't have luck with the firewood sold, so ended up buying elsewhere but maybe just a wet batch. The squirrels were so much fun to watch. The people there were very helpful and nice. The campground is alive during the day and evening then like absolute magic all the kids were in tents and silent by 10pm for quiet hours. Only $15 a night for regular site ($30 for group).

What an amazing place for trails and camping!!!! We will be back for sure!!! We were in a last minute pinch and we're able to find a primitive campsite that was Amazing! Not only did we have privacy because not many people stay during the week, but it was So reasonably priced! I highly recommend this place if you are into camping, biking and the outdoors! I highly recommend getting the group sites, they are a little bit more pricey (still cheap!) But they offer more space. We had seven of us total including a few kids so it was nice to have the extra space for the kids to run around and still fit all of our tents and camping equipment. There are showers with hot water in different areas around the campsites and there is also a large building with toilets, plug ins and sinks. We didn't find out until the last day but the showers also have water spickets at the bottom underneath the shower head, that you can use for filling your buckets or rinsing dishes things like that. The trails go for miles and there is even a biking trail that is for experienced riders with jumps and narrow winding paths with steep drop offs in a few places. The camping is primitive, so you do use the wagons to cart in all of your camping supplies. The campsites are not very far from the parking lot though so it doesn't feel like you're walking too far, however the trees help to make it feel like you are far out in the wilderness. The only thing that I would say we didn't much care for were the four wheelers and golf carts driven by the state park people go down the paths past the camping sites. So it can get noisy early in the morning with the vehicles driving by. But this will Not hinder is choice to come next time. I love that is so close to home so you can get more time in at the campsite.

Beautiful park! Great for jogging or go with kids. Also nice spot to fishing (I didn’t get any 🤪) but it’s beautiful. Also I’m glad they have trails for bike. Make sure to have repellent! And it’s a clean park.

Nice park with trails along the river. Very nice covered fishing pier to the West. We saw a baby armadillo on the trail.

No vehicles are allowed in camp. Sinks, toilets, changing station, filthy, never cleaned. No workers or employees ever around or standing with their arms folded.

Great place to ride mountain bike. The volunteers work hard on this place and it shows. Just bought a house closer to the park & a new bike just to go here 😁

This review is for the primitive campground at this Park. Great location private spots big enough for more than one tent all with fireplace and BBQ spot. Clean bathroom and enough (cold water) outdoor showers, very friendly staff. Only one big minus is they don't allow you to go with your car or truck to the spot and you have to get everything with the had pulled carts to your spot. Depending how far it's away from parking it takes a few walks/minutes to get everything there. No traffic makes it safe for kids to play everywhere though. Close to mountain bike trails (across Park entrance) I would have given 5stars if vehicles would be allowed at the camp spots.

Beautiful park to connect with nature. The air smells so fresh there you know you're getting extra anions. Lots of beautiful native plants there. If you go early in the morning you see beautiful wildlife. I once saw a little fox about 10 years ago. My favorite place in the world.

First time exploring this place with my family. My two kids enjoyed it a lot. Very peaceful. I love the sound of the river as we walked. We saw frogs, birds, a rabbit, and a wild pig. Very muddy as it rained a few days ago. Not too many mosquitoes as other places. We did our yearly cardio today!!!! :)

I have come here a few times and enjoy the peace. There are restrooms here and even a free library. Pavilion space is available as well. A couple of trail options as far as I'm aware, with at least one leading to the river. At the river is a perfect fishing spot. I would not recommend magnet fishing here due to the riprap on the banks.

North entrance is the entrance to the one way off-road trails. Parts are shared with horses but I have not seen them on the trail. The trails are a nice mix of tame riding to advanced. I have yet to explore the 2 advanced loops. There is a rocky section. Lots of twists and 360 banked turns, a small boardwalk section, and plenty of tight flat jungle. They built a series of mounds on the back section that are supper fun!! There is a small parking lot but plenty of parking. There is a bathroom. Volunteers maintain the trails.

👍👍 Ventured out on a cloudy cool morning to tackle this trail. We did the telegraph creek trail and continued to the Bob Janes trail that connects to it to add an additional mile or so. The total for both trails was 4.1 miles. Trails are well marked but the Bob Janes trail did need some trail maintenan...
