Such a cute place to visit. Requires a small entrance fee. Very calm ambiance walking around with gentle music playing and sounds of water running (can't really hear cars on nearby roads). If come in early spring can see some caterpillars and some chrysalis by the entrance. There are a variety of butterflies and plants plus some fish in the pond. Also you can sit in little corners of the enclosed space.

The Butterfly Estates is really awesome. I love that it is a non-profit organization. When you walk in, you can see different stages of chrysalis. The gal working the front desk was very informative and showed us tiny eggs that she extracted from the leaves. We then got to walk around and see all of the butterflies. There were at least 3 turtles in a pond as well as Koi fish. It was very peaceful inside. We even saw 2 butterflies mating. It is humid inside, so I do suggest wearing cooler clothing for an optimal experience. There are senior, student, and children discounts available. Otherwise, it is $10.00 per entry. If you live in the area or are just visiting, I recommend checking it out. It was so awesome!

Very soothing place to be in the moment. The staff was very knowledgeable and passionate. Loved all the butterflies among the lush gardens! Nice small waterfall with koi fish in pond. Relaxing time sitting on bench with butterflies all around even landing on me. Music was stress relieving. Will go back!

We went to the butterfly estates about a week ago and had a decent experience. It’s very small but was a nice place to enjoy the butterflies. We looked at the shop which was nice and we also went into the cafe. We made our rounds through the art gallery as well. I really like the fact that it’s all local artist and the money goes back to them. Would recommend anyone to visit.

I went today to meet some friends and was excited for the experience but sadly the place is closed, for good. The website hasn't been updated nor the phone message. πŸ˜• Really disappointed

Couldn't recommend this place enough, it's so beautiful, peaceful, and informative. I learned more about butterflies and their struggle existing on our planet here more than I have anywhere else. I came here on my birthday with my mom and it really was a truly precious memory. The garden is so serene, it's the best place to come to when you just want to relax for a while and unwind.

This was our 2nd time at the Butterfly Estates and it has such a special meaning to us! But today was even better the customer service was truly outstanding a woman name Bri helped us and went totally out of her way. This only made the experience that much better she even took awesome family photos I will have forever!

This was an amazing little space! The actual butterfly house is a new dream of mine..it was beautiful and peaceful. Loved the koi and all of the butterflies! Brought my bouncy 3.5 year old, and it held his attention for about 30 mins total. The property total is bigger. It has 4 buildings, and and wonderfully painted fence. Definitely worth the visit! Bought the annual pass for the family. Will be back, clearly πŸ˜‰

One of those incredible hidden treasures! We came to show our daughter but ended up learning an incredible amount ourselves! The gardens are perfect and serene, butterflies are absolutely everywhere, and the whole atmosphere is like something from a fantasy novel. The staff were some of the most passionate and knowledgeable people I've ever met, and were so happy to share with us. If I could rate this place 6 stars out of 5, I would!

Lovely experience while visiting fort myers. You get to see the whole butterfly lifecycle and walk around the beautiful greenhouse. The staff are so friendly and informative. They can teach you how to plant your own butterfly garden and how to help wild butterflies.

This is a small operation that is reasonably priced. There are hundreds of native butterflies actively flying and it is beautiful. We sat on a bench for a while and enjoyed the music. I decided to become an annual member because their species change throughout the year.

The amount of butterflies that are here is astonishing. There’s a wide variety and even koi pond that goes all around the garden! There’s a art shop, a thrift store and a cafe. But the cafe just serves hot dog, chips and soft beverages then more alcohol

Soothing, very informative place. You learn about the various caterpillars that will become which butterflies - what plants the caterpillars eat(different for each type) Then enter the greenhouse and enjoy the serenity as they flutter around you. Afterwards go to Bullig's at other end of the property...homemade waffles used for every dish - luscious!

Small but beautiful butterfly & conservatory garden. The butterflies are not as active in cloudy days, but it’s still worthwhile to gaze at their beauty in the peaceful environment. Unique items available for purchase at the gift shop. Make sure to call before heading over if it’s especially hot & humid, as the conservatory closes to keep everyone safe from the heat.

Absolutely incredible! If you're looking for a perfect relaxing experience on almost any weather day you need to come here. Amazing and knowledgeable staff, so very friendly! Many beautiful butterflies and flora all around inside and out. The merchandise is very creative and unique and worth the money. My friend surprised me with this experience and it was one of my favourites yet on any vacation or trip I've taken. I have loved butterflies since I was a kid and my fascination with them continues as an adult. I will definitely be back to visit if I am in the area again. It was nice to take our time and just enjoy how peaceful and wonderful the place was. You should definitely be going if you are anywhere near here for sure.

A nice quick stroll though a butterfly house. The guide was informative and gave a lot of details. The trip will be short 30 or so minutes. The house is steamy as the butterflies like it around 86 degrees. They have a quick gift shop to look through as well.
