Great outdoor walking trail. Sunsets/sunrises photography is great here because of the clear skies + reflections from the often still water. Overall a good place to learn about Lehigh’s ecosystem.

Spectacular place in Lee County to spend a morning birding. Varied marsh and upland hammock habitats will give you plenty of variety in bird species. Have seen swamphens here at every trip. Will become my regular birding spot. Be mindful tho- no facilities and 4.2 miles around the whole area. Not many secluded spots, low on shade and no benches. Plenty of mowed area however for a picnic or just to sit.

I swear this is one of SW Florida's hidden gems if you're a bird or nature lover! I can see more species of birds in 30 minutes than anywhere else I've visited! Lots of big fish as well. Free to park and walk the entire trail.

**Earth Day 04/22/21 Came back to walk this after a couple days of rain. The cypress trees are getting new leaves and were so green today. Not as many birds this time but did see 2 Yellow Crown Night Herons, Limpkins, a Snowy Egret and of course several Sandhill Cranes. Beautiful morning to walk on Earth Day, walked the whole loop, over 4 miles. Definitely worth checking out and getting out in nature. Wonderful birding area. **3/8/21 Update Came back to walk this beautiful area again after my last visit over a year ago on a beautiful March morning. Saw 2 sandhill cranes with a small chick, plenty of limpkins, great blue herons, herons, ibis, ducks, and a kite swallowtail flying overhead. Seems they are adding more areas to walk on the other side of the marsh, a bridge will connect the two so you can cross over to the other side. Look forward to that opening soon to enjoy even more nature. Beautiful and important area I definitely recommend hiking around the whole place, about 4 miles total. Plenty of parking. Such a beautiful place on such a beautiful day. Spent Earth Day with my mom hiking and bird watching. Saw Sandhill Cranes, Egrets, herons, ducks, a Swallow Tailed Kite flew over and around us for a few minutes. Nice 4 mile hike around the marsh. Saw some beautiful colors in foliage. Great local place to hike and see some birds. Great day to spend with mom out in nature. If not familiar with area can get a little confusing finding it, but Waze gets you there just fine.

This is a good place for a morning walk, run, jog, or bird watching. Just be careful with the gators

Love it! Flat nice paths, dirt, trimmed thin grass. Could be an hour-and-a-half walk all the way around, or more. We went to the right came back and went the left. Enjoyed it very much. Lots of sun it was in the mid High seventies and perfect for us

It's a beautiful quiet area to spend with friends and family. The weather was perfect with a warm breeze and the birds were flying. A walk through nature can clear your mind.

If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is a great spot to visit. I personally like to park at the far left side, crossing the waterway and walk ( Or Bike) around the back side of the trees or along the back side of the pond. Bring a camera as you will find plenty of photo opportunities regardless of the pathway you take. You can walk around the whole pond, which is about a 3-4 mile hike. (Have good sturdy shoes as a lot of it is paved in ground up rock). BRING WATER -as there is little shade opportunities on the far side, and Florida heat is unrelenting! Geocache opportunities here as well! There is also access to the far side of a newer section if you take the path around the back side of the pond.. follow the canal along the trees ..about a mile back you will come to a drainage field & to the left is a foot bridge leading to another section. And it's all FREE!!! Maybe I will see you there. It's my favorite place to go!!

Beautiful marsh and plenty of birds. Walk along gravel/dirt tire tracks. Only five other cars parked on a Saturday morning. Our small dog tired out after getting only one third of the way around. Takes a while to get there, but interesting to see the planned community with only a few homes.

I like walking around a marsh just as the sun is rising and listening to all of the birds and animals talk to one another.

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Fishing, bird watching, and trails to walk on. If you want to get back to nature for a little while I highly recommend you visit this park.

Nice area to observe birds & wildlife. We wanted to walk all the way around the park, but 3/4 way around we weren't sure which way to go. Google maps was not helpful and there were no signs. It looked like the trail ended, but we continued to follow what seemed like truck tracks through an open field. We eventually came to a green fence with no signs, we let ourselves through to the other side which crossed some water. It led us back to the parking lot. At one point we thought we might have to turn around and go back the way we came. Please place some signs on the trail to assist first time visitors! It took us 2 hours to walk all the way around.

Great area to Bird watch, walk bike ride and fish. Place to park a vehicle, but most of the area is only for non motorized making it a great place to unwind. But if you want to sit, bring your own chair

Grass has grown in so much the service road is un-walkable. It's about 3 ft high. The rest is unmowed. So, at least you won't see any trash, beer cans, ect.. anymore. Also you won't be able to see snakes, hopefully nobody is bitten by a poisonous snake. Wear bug spray, the mosquitoes are horrible around evening, wouldn't want anyone to get Zika or something preventable. There are some rather large Yellow wasp hives developing where folks like to cross over. Be careful, it's just not worth it right now. Seen two larger Gators there recently but it's a hike, about 3 miles in. Biking is very challenging with the large gravel and uncut pasture. Last mow was July 16th, 2023 ,used to be somewhat a nice spot to walk but not recently.

Great park but they closed the fences ... so you can't do a Loop walk/hike there , however you can park outside and walk out and back

Beautiful place to walk and see birds. There are no places to sit down during the whole 3 miles, though. You would think they could afford a few benches.

Walking trail loop was just over 4 miles; some parts were gravel and others parts dirt/grass but all well maintained. Was very quiet and saw multiple types of birds.

The day I visited, there weren't many birds sighted. But, the app MERLIN had recorded 17 different bird songs in about 2 hours. It was intermittently cloudy and sunny, the canopy providing adequate shade. It's an easy trail, no noticeable incline.

  • 5/5 Amanda S. 1 year ago on Google
Marvelous, wide-open gravel trails so you can wear shorts. Little shade along the trail and it was hot at 9am in February. If you bring your dog, make sure you bring water for it and pet waste bags. No horses or bikes. Bring binoculars- I saw so many birds in just the 1st mile.

Today was the third time I've been to Harn's Marsh. It's a beautiful marshy area with lots of wildlife to see--mostly birds and insects--while you're walking the 4 mile loop (I couldn't do the full loop). I do recommend going in the cooler hours or months. There isn't much shade and I swear I thought I was starting to get heat exhaustion. Bring lots of water and sunscreen!

Always nice. Peaceful. It's not so much Lehigh's little hidden secret anymore. This is due to more people moving to the area and word of mouth. This is a beautiful gem.

Harn’s Marsh Preserve does Lehigh Acres and Lee County well. Impressively peaceful and respectful folks as well; those who enjoy peace will agree.

  • 4/5 Camryn A. 4 years ago on Google
Only giving it 4 stars because there was a good amount of trash in the marsh but otherwise one of the prettiest places in Fort Myers area by far.

👍 Cute little park. Perfect clubhouse for a small event. The swing & grill needs replaceing and there is very little parking but other than that very nice tiny park with lots of trees.

👍👍 This is a nature preserve with trails. The trails are not paved but I won't complain about that, unlike some other visitors, because this is a nature preserve. I'm glad Buckingham will have this sliver of nature left after all of the new construction has destroyed most of it.
