We had an amazing stay! The hotel grounds and our room were immaculate and beautiful. I kept commenting to my girlfriend how beautiful the hotel was and how extremely friendly the staff was. Every single staff member said hello and was so helpful. The happy hour with free wine and fresh snacks were delicious. Then each morning the free freshly made breakfast could not have been better! And the staff served you when you sat anywhere in the common area. We enjoyed the outdoor patio with beautiful water fountain. We will absolutely be back. Can’t recommend 1906 Lodge enough!

Absolutely fantastic in every respect. Location, amenities, cleanliness, and appointment of rooms were all excellent. The entire staff was phenomenal, but Dana and Pia were exceptional. Keep up the great work, we hope to visit again soon!

The property is really nice. I love old buildings and they did a fantastic job of renovating it. They actually lifted it and put a parking garage underneath! It was quiet. The service was excellent. You are really close to the water. The only negative was the heat. It was 47 outside and the small portable heater barely could heat our room. Other than that, great job!

The room was perfect with a fire place and jacuzzi bath. Very spacious rooms and really friendly staff! The breakfast each morning was amazing! Definitely recommend 1906 Lodge! It is a short walk over to the beach and Hotel Del Coronado.

This place is fantastic. Service is top notch and personal. The complementary breakfast and happy hour are on point. The beds are comfortable and the sheets soft. Plus, it's less expensive than most of the places on the island. Highly recommend.

Such a great a relaxing stay! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Our room was beautiful, the breakfasts were excellent, happy hour was great. Everyone who works here is so nice. We were blocks from the beach, shops, and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Very lovely hotel. Few little things to fix but very enjoyable. To bad don't have car charging it will be a plus.

Clean comfortable room, quiet but well-located, really good breakfast and excellent service from every staff member we encountered… Highly recommend! Will definitely come back for another visit. Had a blast touring the island in their rental cart and the loaner bikes were great for a ride to the beach and around downtown.

A great little gem in Coronado. The facilities were well kept and clean. It is relatively quiet and a great location near the beach. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a long weekend girls trip, and this was the most relaxing hotel! 5 of us in one room, and it never felt too crowded. Having a patio to sit on was so perfect to relax and catch up. The manager was so great, and everyone else we interacted with there was so nice and helpful. The cocktail hour had great wine, and the hor d'oeuvres were very good every night. Breakfast was so good every morning. Tons of stuff to do close by, most things were very easily walkable. If I'm in Cornado again, I will definitely be staying here.

We felt like we were in a fairytale. What a wonderful place with a Chef that makes breakfast every day and the innkeeper hosts a happy hour in the afternoons. Very memorable.

This place is perfect for your family get away. It feels very homey. All of the guests seem to be older which is good. Quiet hours start at 8pm. There are so many resturants in walking distance. The staff is very nice, they have a parking garage under the building $30 a day. If you don't feel like looking for street parking. The area feels extremely safe. I would stay here again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the 1906 Lodge. We read the reviews and believe me they are accurate. Beautiful grounds, comfortable room and amazing breakfasts. All the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. Walking distance to the beach and shopping areas. Highly recommended, stay here you wont be disappointed!

I was skeptical of the almost 100% 5 Stars reviews for 1906 Lodge but after just staying there for the past 3 days, they might need to add a 6th Star! Fabulous, quiet location just off Orange and two easy walking blocks away from Hotel Del and some amazing shops and restaurants. The property grounds are cozy and tranquil and our room were very clean and spacious. The best part though was the super friendly staff and their delicious food! Each breakfast is a tasty surprise that is brought to your table and is simply delicious and then they have a complimentary Happy Hour with an assortment of food and beverages. Can't say enough about this hotel and our stay there, was absolutely perfect and shout-out to Pia who was so nice!! **Their underground parking requires a perilous drive down and up to enter/exit, not for the faint of heart or someone with a large vehicle, however, there is plenty of free street parking around the hotel.

I wish I could have stayed longer at 1906 Lodge. The experience was great. I loved my spacious room, and the attention to detail was excellent. I will definitely be back.

What a Great Hotel.. It is just .03 to the World Famous Hotel Del & it's Beach...one of the Best in the Country.. Close to amazing Orange Ave..Clayton's ...The Henry... Miquel's... Little Parisian.. and we needed a Walgreens ..all within Walking distance..we never needed a car..Uber'd to La Jolla..The Airport..etc..Amenities were Free Breakfast..Cocktail Hour..Daily Housekeeping..The entire staff were so nice.. Highly Recommend!! We loved been off he beaten path in this quiet lovely hotel.. but close enough to everything Coronado Island has to offer!! PS..Take the Hop on Hop Off Trolley...Great way to get around for the day and learn about your surroundings!!

What a unique experience! We are business owners and needed a break, and when looking for local accommodations in SD chose the 1906 Lodge, and were so happy we did! The property is so close Coronado Beach that is infront of the hotel Del Coronado, so why would you book there at those prices for a small cramped room when you can enjoy luxury, and exceptional service from the staff (Innkeepers Susan and Lori) at the 1906! We went to Coronado Beach on 2 days, and the inn had all the beach equipment you would want for a nice relaxing day on the sand. There was underground parking which was also a HUGE bonus, where the Hotel Del was charging something like $50/night to park, and the 1906 parking was included in the room rate. Our daily breakfast was delivered to our entry patio table, where we enjoyed the mimosas and had a nice view of the main inner courtyard. I did notice they also had a electric golf cart and bikes for guests to use. Fantastic restaurants of all sorts were also a block away. One night we were so comfortable in the room with our fireplace and jacuzzi tub, we didn't want to leave and had dinner delivered by a local restaurant! The sereine, but over the top feel of this Inn far exeeded my expectations. Don't hesitate and book direct on their website for the best rates, and room selection, of which you may not get if you book through a 3rd party ie. booking.com, expedia etc...

What a gem of a boutique hotel. Easy to book and find, great communication from host. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Attention to detail in every aspect. Breakfast was wonderful each morning, happy hour was lovely every evening , meeting other guests around the gazing pool. We used the beach cruisers for a day to roam around the island. Just an overall wonderful experience. We will be back.

What a beautiful, serene place. The room was impeccably clean. Everything was provided for a relaxing vacation. It feels way more intimate and personable than those corporate condos. And everyone was very friendly. Its location was perfect- very close to the beach and restaurants. And we loved the breakfast and happy hour. The sangria from the happy hour was one of the best I’ve had!

We had an incredible 3 nights here. Service amazing and consistent, room wonderful and comfortable, breakfast and happy hour great and time to meet new people. 100% recommend this place!

1st class service and experience! I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with flowers and balloons for her birthday. I made reservations to have them delivered to the hotel. The innkeepers (especially Dana) went above and beyond to set them up so when she opened the door was surprised to them! They helped make the moment super special!! Thank you again so much! It couldn't have been done without your help! Also there is underground parking garage which was very nice and everything you could want to do is walking distance from there. I could go on and on about the quiet and intimate feel to the hotel plus the breakfast and happy hour too, even bike rentals included but this review is long enough lol. This isn't just another regular hotel, it's an experience!

THIS is the place to stay on Coronado if you are: seeking quiet relaxation, high standards of housekeeping/maintenance and warm, discreet, professional staff. The location gives you the beach and a grand resort 2.5 blocks away WITHOUT sand in your room and their noise from bars, group functions, etc! The residential neighborhood is charming complete with tenders gardens and hummingbirds. Cooked breakfast included fruit each day, lots of egg-based casseroles that are delicious pancakes. Were there 4 nights March 20-24 and inn was full but did not feel crowded. Bedrooms/baths nicely sized with plenty of room for our stuff. Can't wait to go back!
