Eddie Vs provided the best meal I have ever had. Oysters were very fresh, Steak was perfectly cooked, Scallops were delicious, the Truffle Mac and Cheese complimented everything well. We ate at the upstairs bar overlooking the ocean. After dinner when going over our meal I couldn’t find a single thing that could have been improved with the food. I was very impressed. I suggest you give this place a try.

This place is phenomenal and has a great view of the ocean as well to compliment it. Staff was really friendly and the place had a nice feel of luxury to it. We all got steak and the temperature was on point. All the sides we had were really good. I enjoyed the Mac and Truffles and the potatoes the most. I also got a Rib-eye steak and it was perfect. Lastly we shared the Godiva hot chocolate ice cream and it was really delicious too. This is the type of place where you can order anything and it will be amazing.

The view! The friendly, conversant and attentive servers! (Thank you Britnee) We especially enjoyed the lump crab cake and the Chilean sea bass. The pace of the dish arrivals was perfect to enjoy the view transform from afternoon to sunset to evening. So many around us were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. It’s definitely a special place for a special meal.

Amazing food,delicious drinks and I really enjoyed my birthday dessert. The ambiance was nice we got seated by a window, it was night time but you are able to see the ocean,I'm sure it is beautiful in the day time too. Ladies if you like sweet alcoholic beverages then try The Hope Diamond,my husband had an Old Fashioned which he loves and they made it in front of him which was cool. So for appetizers we had fish and oysters then for our dinner I had Chilean Sea Bass and hubby had a huge Ribeye Steak which was well seasoned, if you are on a date and your not a big eater the sides are good enough for 2 people. We ordered Lobster Mashed Potatoes,Asparagus and Crab Fried Rice perfect portions. For dessert since it was my birthday they brought out something yummy,it was a first time great experience I would definitely go back.

The service was amazing. My husband ended up googling the wrong address for the restaurant but they were able to accommodate us. They seated us outdoors where we were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It was very nice that we were the only ones out in the patio. They had a card made that said happy birthday, it was super cute! All the servers who came in & out wished me a happy birthday & even tho I was so full from my meal, they still brought out a little dessert for me. I felt very loved on my special day. Overall the food is bomb! My steak never tasted so good & the truffle mac & cheese is to die for ugh! Oh & thanks to Sarah. She was our server & she was the best!

The service is awesome. The food is fair to good but I was extremely disappointed that the lobster mashed potatoes are made with powered potatoes instead of fresh. For almost thirty dollars... they should be the best potatoes I've ever had with no expense spared. There was plenty of lobster in them. 2 members of the managerial staff confirmed our satisfaction. They are amazing and that along with the views are the reason I'd return. The dessert is really good as well.

Overall decent experience. I would say it was Amazing but I did have hair in my food so that pretty much knocks this down from 5 stars to 3. I was so excited to eat my jumbo shrimp but unexpectedly found hair under the crab meat which made me gag. I was satisfied with the way the server and chef responded by giving me a different dish but it was disappointing. Other than that great food, attentive server, beautiful view of the water and amazing desert! Oh and the crab cake was 🙌🏾 So good 😊

Beautiful ocean view, fantastic food, and wonderful service. What stood out most is how they deal with special occasions. We went here for my first birthday living in San Diego - everyone wished me a happy birthday and they decorated the table with a card and confetti. We got a mini bananas foster to celebrate as well. Those little touches helped make my day really special. Definitely a great meal either way, but I would absolutely come back to celebrate a special occasion again

I went to Eddie V's for my 49th birthday 6/18. I was seated within a short amount of time after arrival. The staff was friendly. I had an amazing server named Dillon. He was so accommodating and welcoming. He checked on me regularly, explained the menu with ease and gave great suggestions. Stars were sprinkled on my table to celebrate. He tentatively listened to my story of the loss of my eldest son. I'll never forget this day.

Went here for my birthday and everything was a 10. This was our view while we dined. The lobster mashed potatoes were so delicious...well everything was delicious. I totally forgot to take a pic of my ribeye, it was huge, juicy and flavorful.

The food was amazing as well as the service. The view overlooking the Pacific was incredible. A shout out to Phoebe, our server, who made our meal extra special.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego! If can sit on the upstairs patio, the views take your breath away (if you’re lucky you’ll see dolphins too :) Service is top notch from valet staff, manager, bartenders, and servers. Food is always beautiful and tasty.

Very hard to beat this place. Food is unmatched by any of the surrounding places. Service is incredible. The views. And if you plan to celebrate a special occasion they really make you feel like you picked the right place. If you haven’t yet don’t leave here without trying the Maine lobster tacos and the crab cake. It doesn’t get any better!

Chef's kiss! All of the food we ordered and even the bread served as an appetizer were so nice. Definitely recommend crab cake, scallops, and filet mignon. The restaurant might seem kind of crowded and loud, but overall I love this place!

I took my wife here for our anniversary💍. We sat outside on the lower terrace. The view was incredible! We were fortunate enough to have Steve wait on us. I watched as he interacted with the other tables. He is a chameleon!🦎 He has a knack for being whoever and whatever he needs to be to make you feel comfortable. It's a gift. In my case, he was an absolute class act 😉. He even brought us a desert on the house in honor of our special evening. What a great guy... Oh, if you're a bourbon fan, order the old fashioned. You'll thank me later!

This is a Hidden Gem. We went for or 25th anniversary and they did not let us down. From the front Hostesses, with all the knowledge for the Restaurant area willing to take a picture of my wife & I to our Waiter Gustaf making sure all our dinner needs were taken care of. The food was Wonderful flavor for days And presentation was excellent. The rose petals at the table and the anniversary dessert was just out of this world. I thank the Manager for coming by and speaking with us and the staff all the hard work. Thank You.

Eddie V’s was fantastic with a great view of the ocean as well. The entire staff was very friendly, our waiter Spencer was very accommodating to all of our needs. We ordered from the happy hour menu we had oysters, little lobster kebabs and steak. We ate outside weather was great at 4:30 to 6:30 the view was unbelievable. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to enjoy a fantastic meal and beautiful scenery.

Went on business trip. Had steak tartare for appetizer and it was excellent. Move to second course of lobster bisque with had a rich, robust flavor you expect. Main course was the scallops which were cooked to perfection. Side was asparagus. Dessert the seasonal berries which were ripe and sweet served with cream sauce. Service was excellent as was the view. I ate outside overlooking the water. Highly recommend.

This was yet another excellent dinner experience at Eddie V’s, the flagship of the Darden chain! We had reservations for 7PM and commented in our reservation that we wanted to sit outside, along the railing to view the cove and ocean. We arrived just a few minutes early and our table wasn’t ready, so we waited. My wife, needing the assistance of a cane was standing with me and one of the ladies working the hostess stand brought her a chair to sit in, very considerate of her to do! Then after about 5 more minutes, a different lady working the host stand brought us a couple of glasses of champagne, unsolicited! We never once complained about the wait, and frankly, we didn’t feel the wait was outrageous, so we were pleasantly surprised they thanked us for being patient while offering the bubbles! Once we got to our table, it was right along the railing on the upper level, with a great view of the cove below! Our server was very friendly and personable. The menu is basically the same as the other Eddie V’s locations. The food we opted for was all made perfectly! Flavors, textures, and presentation was all what we expected – spot on! Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and engaging. Definitely an excellent experience. Highly suggest stopping in for an amazing experience, but make sure to make reservations and request the specific seating type you might want.

Fantastic Dining Experience. The view was breathtaking from our table. The Lobster Tacos, Sea Bass, and Scallops were phenomenal. However, the Banana Foster Butter Cake was exceptional!

The view was spectacular. The service was great, the wait staff was attentive without being bothersome and had a great personality. We had raw oysters, broiled oysters and grilled oysters. We then ordered mussels, grilled octopus and crab and lobster. We ended with exquisite bananas foster. Highly recommend the Chilean Bass.

Excellent place to visit and eat! Ask for the outdoor side tables, the views are spectacular! Had the Ribeye and the lobster, both were cooked to perfection. Service was good as well. Come with a little spare time, traffic and parking can be hairy. Valet is highly recommended.
