From parking lot, no.1 walk about 1 k.m. To the temple alongside with a lot of trees so peaceful. The world heritage temple. They keep it in original as much as they can. Inside the temple have a lot of Sweet osmanthus trees, the smell so good.

Beyond stunning. Preserves its old fading beauty as is. Every glance warrants a photo!

Visited 13th June 2018. The journey to the temple was stunning, particularly the scenes from the bridge and the streams which run down the mountain. The temple area was very clean and very well looked after. I loved how one of the monks was checking his phone after a praying session - brilliant stuff! Would come again!

I really recommend that tou visit a seonamsa temple. Sepnamsa is located in Suncheon Jogyea mountain. You can go there climb up the mountain with a vehicle and get off at the parking station, and then walk the main road. I heard that it was built by goguryea monk in about 500. Although it was collapsed by war, now you can enjoy restored tample. If you go the tample at midday, you can see people wh pray for their wish. It is worth for visiting not only big buddist temple, but it is also the place where you can realax. Again, l strongly recommend that you visit Seonamsa temple.

Seonamsa is one of the famous tourist site of suncheon. As you can see the famous arc of seonamsa in every picture of suncheon. It is around tens of km far from main city of suncheon. You can drive in about 45 minutes or take a bus number 1 or 16. The place has nice green surrounding far from city and river flowing on the side. People usually come for hike as there are multiple routes. But they are not challenging. There are many buddha temples here too. It is worth going.

sun, 7/25 @ 1p - ms. heera kim, one of the few english speaking park guides at seonamsa temple was the BEST!!! she walked w me about 2hrs in on trail, while providing me info about things i saw. she was also kind to take pics of me at famous photo spots. what put her service above and beyond was her knowing i wld miss the last bus at 5:30p, so she went after her working hrs in her personal vehicle to pick me up at the end of my long 9km/6mi hike at the other temple songgwangsa. she then took me 30m to my nxt sightseeing plc, which was the naganeupseong village. her kindness will nvr b forgotten! 😍

This temple is very close to the Suncheon city. I’d recommend you to visit. To understand Korean way of life, this province offers a good unique opportunity to immerse yourself deeply into the Korean local culture.

This temple is quite different from most, modernized temples. More questions to the guide and/or research about history recommended.
