The monument to Slovak National Hero Janko Čmelik in the city park in Stara Pazova was erected in 1948. It is the work of the Serbian sculptor and painter Stevan Bodnarov (1905-1993) from Belgrade and was cast in the "Plastics" workshop in Belgrade. The monument is made of concrete, marble and bronze. A 2.35 m tall bronze figure is placed on a 1.25 m high plinth. On the front part of the monument there is a text in Slovak and Serbian languages ​​"Janko Čmelik national hero" and between those two texts is a five-pointed star. Based on the decision of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Sremska Mitroica, the monument to the national hero Janko Čmelik in Stara Pazova represents a type of immovable cultural property: a famous place.
