This is my favorite 5 star hotel in Makati. The rooms are a little dated but very acceptable. Service here is fantastic. I got locked out of my room because the key stopped working and had to stand in line at the lobby for 15 minutes because of it. I wasn't happy about it and I made sure they knew that. The supervisor stepped in to take care of it and make me a happy customer. They care about their customers. The food here is good and there is a big variety. Cheaper and much better than The Peninsula. I've stayed here many times in the past and will definitely stay here in the future.

I'm staying here for quarantine. It says 5-star hotel but room is outdated, carpet looks so dirty and old. They don't offer to take your garbage and refresh your towels, etc given guest is required minimum 10 days of quarantine. Food sucks! Ordered lechon nachos for evening snacks and there's nothing on it and chips are even stale and not crispy anymore. Nacho king is better! They will not allow outside food to be delivered and yet their food quality is bad! UPDATE ordered spicy tuna maki, still fail! Your restaurant, food is ruining it all. Positive thing are the workers. They are very nice and accommodating

Wow. I would have never stayed at a place like this except my airline put us there overnight. The stay was too short... 6 hours I think in total. Shame on the airline. Breakfast was incredible with all the sections of the food court offering something delicious making it so hard to choose.

One star for good staff. I am really disappointed with this hotel. A 5-star facility which feels like a 3-star. Bathroom smells like smoke, shower heads are leaking when turned on, ac control has really sticky dirt, TV reception is bad and the unit is really old, blackout curtains are dirty, sofa couch itches me when i'm sitting on it, there was a small cockroach in my room. I have never seen a hotel window as dirty as this in my entire life, it looks like an abandoned building's window. I've stayed on a 3-star hotel and it was more pleasant.

This is located in the heart of Makati!! Walk to any part of the Greenbelt with all the up market boutiques (as well as older shops in Greenbelt 1) .. Walk to all Glorietta, Landmark, Makati Avenue, West St, etc.. So location wise, superb. Service also tip top. Kudos to the training team. But the hotel is dated and is need for repairs and renovation.. Rooms are really average for this higher price range. Good restaurants, etc. Enjoy.. But look out for newer ones on the same zone.. 😂

Friends staying so went to join them for drinks at the bar a couple of consecutive nights. So the management seem to have an attractiveness policy for staff both male and female which all rather pleasant as they engage in polite and courteous welcoming small talk. The service and quality of food and drinks along with the ambience really impressed me. This bar/restaurant completes with the top 5*s hotels in Manila with ease. Keep up the great work.

I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! Went to celebrate my partner's birthday. Had an excellent stay here. The staff and customer service are top-notch. The room was luxurious, spacious and clean. I would often stay at this Dusit Thani when I am in Manila for Covid quarantine since I never had an issue related to service. However, Either the Executive Suite King Room I stayed in was NOT properly cleaned OR the staff preparing / delivering my food was covid positive - but I ended up testing covid positive while I was in the location. Keep in mind I already took the covid exam 24 hours before the flight and tested negative. Only when I arrived at the facility to quarantine for five days did I get the positive result. I can not find any other reason where I would have contracted covid because I was fully masked and sanitized during transit only in the room did I not wear a mask or sanitize since I expected Dusit to be dilegent in their cleaning. As a result of Poor Sanitization or Hygiene from Staff - I have become Covid Positive and had to be transferred and quarantined by the Department of Health at their Quarantine hotel for an additional 10 days. This horrible experience ruined my vacation where I have spent it mostly in quarantine. Do not book this hotel unless you want to risk getting Covid.

The place needs some work, facilities and service wise. It solely depends on its location for business. If you don't mind old rooms with ho hum service to none but close to the big malls (5 meters away), then consider staying here. Prices are as expensive as the newer hotels with better service.

There services are rather poor. They forgot to get us our room order even though we asked 3 times . Room we stayed in smells of SMOKE. They also forgot to serve us at the bar . The hotel is old but still has some charm but the service lacks significantly. It's ok , There are better hotels .

I really love interior design of this place it is very spacious where you can move freely. This is ideal for solo, couple, family and friends. This place is kid friendly safe place. I also love the location of the place where it is easy for you to locate if your a first timer. Nothing but the least the foods are perfectly cook and serve. I highly reccomended this place. I promise you will be happy staying this place.

Whats to be said about the Dusit that hasn't already been said. The food is fantastic. Didn't eat something that wasn't 4.5/5 or higher. The building and the room were the only thing that wasn't 5 star. It's definitely showing its age. They really need to update/remodel the rooms. Literally my only complaint here. Fantastic for the price and totally recommend. Will stay here again.

Good hotel, quiet near to everything. We just walked everywhere. A bit dated on the outside. Our room was extremely spacious, we prefer large rooms and junior suites and this was one of the biggest rooms we have stayed in over the past 1.5 years. The food in the hotel is amazing. Benjarong which is their Thai restaurant was amazing. The food was very good, I being a vegetarian know a Thai restaurant is good when their Pad Thai is good. Did not give all 5 stars coz I think they could do a bit more for sustainability.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Grand and welcoming lobby, spacious clean room, efficient staff, excellent food choices especially the buffet breakfast with extensive range, there's everything for everybody, and looks like brunch is wonderful too -something to experience next time we visit!!

King size room:The reason i gave an “OK” is because i definitely did not get a 5 star experience. Hotel itself is really dated , had to stand and queue for 15 minutes just to check in , actual 5 star hotels serve me drinks and come to me when it’s my turn to check in. Room has poor soundproofing and i could hear the guest next door hanging their clothes, i woke up 3 times at night, the power outlet was faulty , the reading lamp wont turn off completely, the lobby washroom(male) was filthy. The drop off point had enough space for 3 lanes but they used up two lanes for valet parking , so expect some traffic during drop off/pick up. The room itself is spacious and clean , bath tub is not big enough for male adult. I would have given a better review if this is not a 5 star hotel. Newer 3 star hotels can offer more than this 5 star hotel.

We have been frequenting Dusit in Manila quite a few times over the past decade. We hold special memories for Dusit since we used it as our base hotel for our wedding. Dusit seems to be one of the spots for the more affluent folks in Manila to meet. The driveway in front of the lobby has been converted into a valet parking lot for flashy cars which makes getting into and out of the hotel more of a hassle for those arriving by taxi or van. The entrance and restaurants are nicely decorated and wel kept. The service is impeccable and that obviously comes at a somewhat premium price for the food and beverages. But value for money is provided. This is less the case with the rooms. Whereas Dusit upkeeps it lower floors, restaurants, lobby etc well, the rooms are starting to show its age. The premium room we booked was okay-ish but not premium other than its generous size. Yes, it is clean but furniture is old and dated, the bed sheets are no longer white and have small holes in them. Extra blankets can’t be provided since Dusit doesn’t have spare blankets… So if you’re expecting a premium room experience: plenty of other and better choices in Makati. If you’re just here to enjoy dinner or lunch: makes sense

One of the finest hotel you can stay with. Great for any occasion like wedding,parties, business conference. Great facilities and amenities to use . No question about food ,you can choose different cuisine that you like. Accessible/walk by to the shops, closer to the airport and most of all the availability of transportation.👍

The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by tasteful decor, modern furnishings, and an overall sense of elegance. The housekeeping folks are very approachable and they will greet you with a smile. However I've got some list of things that I don't appreciate: 1. The receptionst at the main entrance with a Thai costume won't bother to greet or even a smile and she will just a stare at me with a blank face. Is it because I am not a foreigner? 2. The guys at the front door won't offer any assistance with our luggage. SERVICES THAT I APPRECIATE 1. The receptionist at the hotel club lounge were very accomodating and helpful. 2. The lady who serve our food at the hotel club lounge was very warm, welcoming and approachable. 3. The housekeeping guy was very nice. 4. I love the dog at the front door!

Great location and service. The hotel looks nice but aged and hasn't been really renovated. Breakfast was nice, and there were lots of options, although I saw a German cockroach crawling on the bread tong. Also, you need to refill your water jar. I prefer sealed bottles while travelling. Finally, I was there for 6 nights and 4 days, I had to call and ask for fresh towels

I visited The Pantry restaurant at this hotel for a business lunch. The hotel has limited dine in capacity with restriction for vaccinated guests only. The hotel premises is well sanitized and the hotel staff are protected. There is no buffet spread yet but they offer cross over menu with UMU Japanese restaurant. Its good to be back at this place!

For a 5-star hotel, the service was very disappointing. The room doesn’t smell good, as if the previous guest smoked inside the room. They only prepared room amenities good for 1 pax when we were 2. I kept calling the reception but they didn’t answer. What if it’s an emergency? I even went to the lobby to ask the receptionist -_- super hassle. And they only give me a towel? There’s no robe, coffee cup etc. I needed to enumerate the list to them. -_- and it took 8hours+++ before they deliver what we need. They didn’t ask me for deposit, but they didn’t inform me that I won’t be able to charge the food that I would buy to room. The website say they would provide covid kit with alcohol wipes and masks but no that’s not true. 😒 The toothpaste they have been distributing in the rooms were expired. The expiry date is 2021213, its already Dec29. They didn't check that. Took them a while to give me an unexpired toothpaste, and it is not branded as dusit dental kit anymore. On the other hand, the staffs are friendly and respectful.

The rooms are clean the only thing to consider is here is the service of pantry and reception. Sometimes they don't answer sometimes they forget. But hotel is nice and food is amazing as well but sometimes you have to ask more from them to enjoy your stay. The service people r polite and humble and ready to take action

The expectation was high however when we entered our room, u can smell the stale air lingers around and we've requested for air freshener thrice but never arrived! We called the room service thrice for the towel to arrive in our room and this took so long! 2 people staying in the room but there was only 1 toiletries etc. literally good for 1 person. Second was the pantry restaurant! Mum ordered food and already finished everythint but my food was yet to arrived and waited for 35mins for just a soba noodle to arrive! It was awkward to eat alone as my family have already finished their meals! Was expecting for a family dinner but was left disappointed! Im still staying at this hotel but plans to change once i come back from my trip as the service was really slow and room cleanliness wasnt good... Friendly and polite staff but standard isnt 5 star at all...im from Australia and left disappointed.

Nice clean property with a clean shower area. Property is dated and pool is small and outdated too. Bathroom could be better designed too. Breakfast spread is good. Staff are kind and helpful. Accommodating as well. Allowed us to leave our luggage whilst we travelled to Boracay. Property well located and Makati is the area that’s highly recommended to stay at. Loads of options of things to do at walking distance including massage and global cuisine.

Had an excellent stay here. The staff and customer service is top notch. I would like to give a higher rating, but I noticed a pretty bad Roach problem at the Pantry Bar. Particularly around the sink and coffee maker and most active around 9pm and later. It was hard to ignore.

I super loved their hotel and when i stayed their all staffs are friendly and the services are so great. I forgot to ask them if we can use their hotel as our subject in our research because we are graduating and it is a great hotel to do some research because of satisfaction of customers . Room was good. Dusit Thani is supposedly one of the old hotels in Makati but the interior is surprisingly still beautiful, even in the rooms. Staff were friendly. Airconditioning is top-notch. My favorite part of the stay is the breakfast buffet - had a wide variety for choices and all were sumptuous too. Also took home with us a small gift due our stay was during Easter.

Your team has constantly come forward to help with great attention regardless of flaws (if any) at first sight. The lowered rating is on your guest that refused to respect rights and safety to the general public during this sensitive period entering your hotel without a mask or sling their mask under the chin. Am sure that your professional team at the lobby will give all effort to approach such visitors/ guests with utmost respect, but I am sadden we do not see that equal respect in return. Much like yourself with the attention from the sight of my rating, do rest assured your team display equal level of passion in serving worthy of 5-Stars, but let down by irresponsible individuals witness throughout past 24 hours since arriving into your hotel. The venue was perfect for our small gathering. It had all the amenities we needed. The only minor problem is the very small stage. The events team of Dusit was really helpful and responds quickly to all our follow ups before the event.

This place was great. The rooms were clean, the food was really good downstairs at the pantry restaurant. The people that worked there are amazing. They help me get a room when none were really available and then gave me a discount on top of that. Great place. If in Manila it is a must stay.

Had an unforgettable stay in this “5-star” hotel. We could have had the same experience with 3-star hotel rooms. Room - smelled like smoke and the glass windows were covered with dusts. You can also hear the conversation of the room beside yours - no privacy. The side lamp cannot be completely shut dark. Bathroom and Toilet - had yellowish rusty water pouring out of the bath tub faucet and the sink is clogged. The only feature that has 5-star in this hotel is their guest relations and staffs. They are very accommodating.

It's a terrible hotel to stay. WORST service I've encountered anywhere in the world. Some examples - every day without fail Room Service would get your order wrong.. mind you everytime. Average time to get a room service order 90 mns (wrong order) + another 90mns to correct it. Average time to get anything from House Keeping - 2 hrs. I've been a hotel professional and I can tell you staff here is just INCOMPETENT to run a 5 star property. Management is terrible as well. Inspite of sending a detailed email to the Guest Service Manager Bechy, got no response at all. General Manager of this property should be ashamed of himself/herself in the manner this property is being run. I would STRONGLY discourage anyone to stay at Dusit Thani Makati .. waste of your money.
