Some may say this park seems abandoned, I still love every angle of Picnic Grove! Every spot is picture-perfect. Childhood memories still run through my mind every time I walk down the viewing isles and decks. There are new structures added in the park - Ferris' Wheel, new modern-type viewing decks, restaurants, and small shops below the decks.

A family friendly picnic place for nature lovers. This place will give you the majestic view of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano while sitting in the grass or in the picnic huts and enjoying your good food. You can also try their zip line and horseback riding. The entrance fee is very cheap so expect the long line in the cashier as they are doing the ticketing manually. I hope they can upgrade their process. Currently, they are doing some rehabilitation on the grass and some works in the landscape.

It has a lot of developments since I went there before the pandemic. It's a great place to relax with a minimal and affordable entrance fee. Overlooking Taal Volcano is one of the great scenes. You can also enjoy the horse back riding, zipline, strawberry-flavored taho, etc.

Many locals come here to have a picnic! The environment is great! I can see the volcano. I like this place very much. There are also horses for taking pictures. However, you need to walk a lot. Elders should be careful.

Picnic Grove, one of the popular tourist destinations in Tagaytay City. With its built-in cottages and greenish, hilly surroundings, this recreational area is just perfect for picnic lovers as well as family gatherings and bonding of friends. Enjoying the cold weather and viewing the splendid, panoramic view of Taal Volcano & Taal Lake are better done here.

Updated review (Nov 27, 2021, 11 am, 3 stars): We went there at around 11:36 am. Still no signs in the park directing to the payment area which is an area for improvement. However, an additional payement area was added from that day onward based on feedback of different people and the amout of guests which visited in the previous weekend. This is better as compared to my previous visit and less hassle. Around this time (nearing noon) there were a a lot less number of people on the park which is more enjoyable. Recommeding to bring your umbrellas and fans due to the mid noon heat. Previous Review (Nov 21, 4 pm, 1 star): It's been a while since I've been here due to the pandemic. I have seen a lot of new sights and attractions. However, please be wary of the system with the parking/entrance fee payment since it is a hassle!!! Upon entrance the number of people in the vehicle were accounted per head. There was no notice on where we would pay upon entrance. We thought that the payment is done at the exit of this area. However, upon supposed exit, we were just redirected to the payment area which was located at the center of the park! We ran in circles because of lack of directions! I know we were not alone since a lot were also uninformed and redirected since the queue in the payment area is too long and a lot of vehicles are going back and forth finding the payment area. This ordeal took more time than the whole time spent on horseback riding. I am posting this for awareness of the current situation (Sunday, Nov 21, 2021). Changes in my review will depend on changes in the system in the park on my next visit. Thank you for your time!

Picnic grove is the perfect place to unwind and bond with your family and friends. The scenery is very aesthetic and the place is well maintained. For me, the great time to visit picnic grove is between 3-5pm so that you can enjoy the view and able to see the beautiful sunset.

Very easy to access, no matter if you travel via personal transportation or via public it is very acessable. Entrance is 50 pesos. Lot's of parking place as well as a restroom (10 pesos entrance fee). View is astonishing and small cabins are perfect to sit, eat some snack or even bring a small transport refrigerator and enjoy a more decent meal and cold drinks 😅. Tols of garbage cans available all over the place. Zip line is a bit expensive if we compare it to SkyRanch (which is also two way ride, but the ride is way longer, cheaper and with a better view). Walkig is relaxing, nice paths, bridges (which could use some maintenance) but still great place to walk around, sit and enjoy the nature a place to come with friends and enjoy the day or simply to take nice photos for your story. Some souvenirs are available but with not with thematic of Picnic Grove which is a bit disappointing.

The place is nice but it’s crowded. There was only one restaurant available. The food was a bit expensive yet the taste was not that good. It’s good if you here with your family and friends have a picnic here. The view is over look to Taal volcano. There is horse riding and hose picture taking. 20 pesos for horse picture taking. They will let you sit on the horse and take pictures as many as you like. It’s huge place then prepare your shoes.

Good place to unwind and relax if you have kids. There is a wide grass area where kids can run and play. It's a nice picnic area. You can bring your own food here. There are also a lot of souvenir shops for tourists to buy to. For those who have their own car/vehicle, parking space is available.

Home of the famous Taal volcano. You can go to picnic grove for a clear view of this majestic God's creation. There's also zipline that you can enjoy but it was closed because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, it is a great place to hang with your family and friends.

Perfect for family getaway/bonding, I super love the over looking view, the nature, horseback riding, food, the greenery scene and with lots of all the other outdoor exercises/activities available that you can try 🥰😍. I will always come back here with my family and friends.

Lovely setting and a very peaceful place away from the road. Tremendous views over the lake too. The suspension bridge is beyond being maintained, so it’s a little shabby in places. The cool breeze through the pines make this a great venue on a warm afternoon.

Such a lovely place for the whole family and for couples to enjoy the cool weather and gather. The parking costs money and there is an entrance fee as well but a small price to pay for the views. Stunning views from all angles as you walk through the area.

Very nice place to sit down and relax after a busy day. The views are amazing and there's a lot of space. However, the little huts are nor free to use, you need to pay 250php to use them. There's a lot of space, few attractions like horseback riding, and some souvenir shops. Limited places to eat though.

Beautiful views, if you go on a day that isn't absolutely packed with people. The volcano 🌋 is an awesome sight, and to think that it isn't that far off land. Kids had fun riding the horses. My youngest wanted to do the zip line, but there were too many people in line and also down below, which could be dangerous if someone dropped their phone or camera into a huge crowd. All in all, it was a good day, and fun was had. I would love to come back on a clearer day.

Really enjoyed my experience here with family ☺️. Beautiful area with amazing views, lovely shops and zipline. Our tour guide spoke good English and was very helpful and friendly - he helped us to book a boat tour of the volcano also which was a trip highlight 🤩.

This place would have gotten a perfect score for me because the ambience was reallt good and the air is so cool. However, cleanliness is one of the biggest issue here as when we visited, there are A LOT of trash anywhere considering that it was early in the morning. Second thing is that there is no organization within the compound, you cannot have peace of mind on your things and vehicle.

What a view...it kills my curiosity. My family went and visit there and I am truly amazed with what we saw. A great place for bonding and relaxation. Since we had not brought something to eat while staying there...well viewing and spotting a nice resting place is what you can do instead. Visit now and you'll enjoy it a lot.

75 pesos per person entrance fee! Motorbikes park for free. I think it’s worth it for the view. You can sit on the grass or walk on the skywalk for free, tables and huts cost a fee. They have zip line and Ferris wheel, but it wasn’t running when I visited (around 5pm on a weekday). Lots of shops (affordable takeout) for an impromptu picnic. We brought our own food from the nearby public market.

Had a nice trip last Feb. 2024. Entrance fee at P75 per head, over 4 years old. P50 for parking fee of a car. No more cable car, and the Ferris wheel was closed. Zipline is P300 for two-way ride and P100 for optional photo. Horse ride was P350 per ride [2 max riders] and an optional tip to the horse handler. Lots of resto options now and souvenir shops galore. Again, great view of Taal Lake from this area. Great to visit once in a while.

The park was nice, lots of people, a little hard to navigate the narrow trails and stairs because traffic dose not always flow two directions or people stopping in the middle of the walkways to take pictures, so don't get in a hurry, rides are a bit overpriced for the experience, but not terrible, just expect to pay more. The views are extremely nice, lots of shops and food, just make sure to rent your table, they have different rates for different tables.

Family friendly. There are activities that different ages would enjoy. Ferris wheel, horse back riding, zipline, etc. Not to mention a wide flat a bit grassy surface that can be enjoy by your young ones or even yourself. The person in entrance though is a bit hot headed so make sure to have exact amount and tell her how many are you upfront.

Just had a quick trip here after having a late lunch in dreamland cafe. Its been 3 years since i last visited this place. Same Picnic groove like before, since its weekend the family and group of friends are there to relax rest and fam bonding. The view is as always amazing. The Entrance is still the same 50 pesos and still there are lots of sellers inside such selling foods, drinks, even boat renting, island tour, and even horseback riding, but i feel sad for the horse they seems malnourished and tired and stressed.I hope people will think about the welfare of this poor animals. There's some activities to do too

It's wonderful especially with family to enjoy it with. You can bring your own food and drinks or not, some of the ground are steep, muddy and slippery so use good trekking shoes. Entrance is 50.00 pesos, parking fee for cars is 35.00 pesos. Senior discount is 10.00 pesos. You can ride a horse but I didn't because I feel bad riding a horse just so people can earn but it's okay if you want to. I only took a picture with a horse for 20.00 pesos, it's good! :) And I even tried the Zipline, it's 300 pesos for two-way ride. There are restrooms you can use for 10.00 pesos. Wear face mask and face shield. But if you're near the edge facing Taal Lake, hold your belongings that can flew away by the wind. Like your face shield for example! You can bring your guitar or ukulele to play with. There are tables there that you can stay in, Taho there costs around 30-40 pesos. Prices of the souvenirs vary, so scout well! Take care and have fun!

Visited last Nov 29 2020. Picnic Grove accepts guests even from Metro Manila except below 18 and senior citizens. 50 pesos each for the entrance fee. Ferrys wheel and zipline not operational. Face mask is a must but faceshield not required. Strawberry taho is very sweet and pricy not recommended.. 40 pesos each for a regular size.

back to this place with family after 10 years and it still looks amazing. The weather was just right and there were quite a few new structures and viewing decks that weren't there before. I like how neat the place was even though there were a lot of tourists. There were still plenty of kubos and picnic areas where families and friends can share a meal. Absolutely loved it.

Bringing a picnic mat or tent is highly recommended for an exceptional experience. Not only does it provide a cozy seating area for you and your loved ones, but it also enables you to relish the picturesque surroundings. You can lay out your food and beverages on the mat or tent and savor the stunning scenery while dining. This is an excellent way to maximize your family outing and make it a memorable one!

Its has nice view, good for picnic and gatherings. The place feels little hot due to the place is open without shade too much. You just need to buy ticket for entrance. They do offer horse riding but with additional payment. During that time theres still not much crowd. If you will go to toilet there, you will need to pay for additional payment.

This place had more amenities compared to what i remember. There are lots of parking spaces. Lines are always expected when paying for entrance fees/parking but once you get past all the people in the entrance, you can enjoy the cool breeze of tagaytay. Probably best to visit when there aren't a lot of people if you want to unwind.

Place is cheap to go to. with an entrance of 50 pesos each then you could enjoy the beauty and park. Separate cost for parking. Great for picnic just make sure you can get your spot. The only that makes it just plain okay is that this place tends to be overcrowded. Horse riders are also annoying kn pursuading their customers.

(Translated by Google) There are new attractions in the park such as the zipline and ferris wheel. When I last went before the taal erupted, the to's were not there, the appearance of the Taal volcano also changed, the former blue color turned the island gray 😥 The hanging bridge is also closed because it is defective. Apart from that, they added many cottages and tables for the walkers for free using the cottages including the P50 per person entrance fee. Excluded parking fee of 4 wheels, motor cycle free parking. For those who take a walk, it is discipline. take out your trash and throw it in the correct bin. Be a responsible tourist and practice minimum health standard. Because the new normal is different, it is required to wear a face shield and face mask in the park. Keep safe and God bless everyone. Its not enjoyable as it used to be, too many construction going on, buildings, concrete everywhere, less shops and activities. not as cold anymore as well. I miss the green grass, the trees, the smell of plants where you can really enjoy just a picnic. Lately its just more and more buildings. I dont know what they're planning but aside from the view, nothing else is worth seeing here anymore.

We went there yesterday and we were told we cannot go in because we have a baby in the car. We told them the mother and the baby will stay inside the car and will not go out in the fields. In the end, we were told to leave and take the exit immediately. If someone would kindly explain the logic behind why we weren't allowed to enter even though we told them the baby would stay inside the car, I would change my rating. Thank you.

Tagaytay Picnic Groove ... is a large Eco Park ... located on the hillcrest & hillside , overlooking in the distance - Taal lake , Taal Volcano & surrounding valley areas Whilst exploring the picnic areas ... you need to watch out when walking around ... as the ground is very uneven & tree roots everywhere For a impressive panoramic view ... near the hillcrest ... there is a lookout overlooking the lake & volcano 😎 The smallish ( from a difference 😉 ) Taal Volcano is located on a small island near the middle of Taal Lake ( thankfully on the day I visited ... Taal Volcano was quiet ... as in the previous year or so , this Philippine volcano had erupted , coursing a large ash cloud ) For the energetic sightseeing 😅... the is a sealed walkway & stairs ( most of the way ) down the hillside ... as some of this path , has been closed down for safely reasons - including a short , old wooden walk bridge The path is very strenuous - a good work out It’s worth the walk ... even though the views of Taal lake & Taal volcano are generally the same , as from the lookout near the hillcrest Around the picnic grounds - mostly on the hillside ... there are plenty of small covered cemented seating areas If you like - there is paid guided horse riding ... along hillside tracks You can also take a flying fox ride There is also a large Ferris Wheel ... disappointedly I didn’t have enough time to experience this ride Within the merchandise & food stall area ... is a small animal zoo - named the Adventure Jungle Inc ... in which I also didn’t experience The picnic grounds was busy , with lots of sightseers ... including more than plenty of motorbike groups having a rest & / or experiencing this people’s park On the grounds there is the remnants of a now closed down Hostel Entrance fee P50 per person P35 per car Open 7 days - 7am to 7pm

Some of the areas of Picnic Grove are now improved! The entrance fee is still affordable and the attractions such as the ferris wheel (150 per person, 6-minute ride), zipline, and horseback riding are still presently there. The new renovations and structures have made the park a better place overall. The walking trail one may experience is still really pleasurable if done in the early morning or late afternoon, as the late morning to the early afternoon time may make the walk unbearable due to heat especially in the summer season. It is advisable to go in the morning as the place tends to be pretty rowdy and crowded and by then it is no longer as enjoyable.

  • 5/5 Mac S. 1 year ago on Google

Tagaytay Picnic Grove is an idyllic retreat nestled in the picturesque city of Tagaytay, Philippines. This charming destination offers a serene escape from the bustling city life, with its breathtaking views, lush greenery, and a wide range of recreational activities. The first thing that captivates you upon arrival is the stunning panoramic view of the Taal Volcano and its magnificent crater lake. The sight alone is worth the visit, as it showcases nature's beauty at its finest. The fresh mountain air and cooler climate of Tagaytay further enhance the overall experience, making it a perfect getaway for families, friends, and nature lovers. One of the highlights of Tagaytay Picnic Grove is its well-maintained picnic areas. Spread across spacious grounds, these areas provide ample space for visitors to set up their mats, enjoy a leisurely picnic, and bask in the beauty of the surroundings. It's a wonderful place to bond with loved ones, share delicious meals, and create lasting memories. For adventure enthusiasts, there are several activities to choose from. Ziplining through the lush canopy of trees offers a thrilling experience, while horseback riding allows you to explore the terrain at a leisurely pace. The playground and game area cater to younger visitors, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. When it comes to amenities, Tagaytay Picnic Grove doesn't disappoint. Clean restrooms and well-maintained facilities are readily available, ensuring visitors have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. There are also various food stalls and vendors offering local delicacies and refreshments, allowing you to indulge in tasty treats as you explore the premises. The staff at Tagaytay Picnic Grove are courteous, accommodating, and always willing to assist visitors with their needs. Whether you have questions about the area or need assistance with any of the activities, their friendly demeanor adds to the overall positive experience. However, it's worth noting that Tagaytay Picnic Grove can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. It's always a good place to go to with family and friends but the trek was a bit hard for seniors coz of the stairs. Honestly, the rate to get on a horse was a bit expensive (350php) for only 30 minutes. If you're young and athletic, it's a good place to hang out. Bring food and water and be mindful of your trash.

  • 4/5 Sonny G. 9 months ago on Google
I totally enjoyed my visit at this place with my friends. We could see the full beautiful view of Taal Volcano. We did not try the zipline but I could see it was heart-stopping. Of course, the air is very invigorating. I did not like the horse-riding though; we did not try it actually because it only allows people to just ride within small area. It looks like you will only sit on the back of the horse...and that's it. Exploring the area requires strong legs and stamina. We were exhausted after the walk. This is great for family picnic.

  • 4/5 Michael N. 10 months ago on Google
Picnic Grove is quite a big place with plenty to offer. There are an abundance of covered picnic tables by the hillside that all offer decent views of Lake Taal & the Taal volcano. Be warned though, the picnic tables lower down the hill offer limited views due to vegetation growth covering the prime view points. When not picnicing, there is a nice cafe at the top of the hill to lounge about & take in the views. There are also plenty of businesses offering Tagaytay specific souvenirs. Parking is plentiful and able to cater for the busiest of days in its dedicated parking area. The only downside is that the whole area looks old and in need of a freshen up, and there are no flat open green space for the kids to run around in.

Tagaytay Picnic Grove has been around for decades. We used to bring our kids here when they were still young. Now that they're all grown up, they're the ones driving us there to reminisce the old days. This popular destination has seen a lot of changes and improvements over the years but the magic of bringing people and families together to share their food, enjoy the cool weather and be amazed at the spectacular scenery of the majestic Taal Volcano remains to be the secret for their existence. We will definitely be coming back.

  • 3/5 Shalom Amir F. 8 months ago on Google
I've been here a few times during my college days and still tagaytay is one of the most beautiful wooded park on the ridge I've ever seen. There's a several vistas and picnic huts. Even without food you will enjoy the blissfull surroundings. I really miss the pine trees, chirping birds and the cool breeze. It's really tiring walking at the viewing deck but it allows you to get the widest view of Tagaytay and nearby provinces because it’s on top of an elevated corner in the Picnic Grove. You can enjoy walking in the hanging bridge or you can consider riding a zipline. After a lengthy and tiring walk we saw a small group of stores near the picnic huts. I bought a bag and a puny car for my little one. Overall experience Taal lake is really beautiful to see, and I stopped for a few minutes to admire the spot. It's priceless glimpsing the magnificent taal volcano.

  • 4/5 Catherine Lei D. 8 months ago on Google
I am a frequent visitor of Tagaytay and was able to come by Picnic Grove on a weekday and also during the weekends. The place is always packed with people during weekends so for me, visit during the weekdays are better. I must say that the place improved a lot and there are now more spots where u can get a great view of the amazing taal volcano and lake. This is a really great place for a picnic. You don't need to go somewhere else to get food as there are also restaurants and food stalls in the area. They have a range of shops for souvenir items too. Other options that u may also try are horseback riding, zipline, the ferry's wheel and strolling through the picnic grounds to the top of the view deck on the other side. One thing I don't like about the place is that you can see trash everywhere. Apart from having enough people to do regular maintenance and cleaning of the area, maybe it would also help to implement certain regulations/ordinances to penalize littering.

  • 4/5 Young I. 4 months ago on Google
Great view. Many souvenir shops and restaurants to go to. However it is bad when it is raining. You can walk anywhere. Better to bring a umbrella in case. There's also a ferris wheel and zip line! Prices around this area are still affordable. You have to pay entry to go in this area. This place is not too far and easy to locate. Just please don't go during rainy season.

  • 4/5 Eyj J. 4 months ago on Google
super windy! cable car not working. ferris wheel not operational. horse riding @350 pesos per hr but within 30 mins, you'll get bored already despite of me and my 3 kids switching. food is cheap good. very scenic place to take pictures. the picnc huts are pricey. the open field is a safe place for kids to let loose and run like crazy. souvenir shops have good choices too.

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church - Silang Junction North, Tagaytay City, Cavite (Diocese of Imus)
Catholic church
👍 Pet friendly church. However, you should be seated outdoors. This is a good place to unwind when you need physical, mental and spiritual rest. It is nice to sit outdoors as you can feel the cool winds of Tagaytay while attending the solemn holy mass. Parking is nearby and located inside the gates....
