Ka Rey's Seafood is located near the Emilio Aguinaldo Hiway corner Casa Ybardaloza. There's a small gate showing Ka Rey's signage. Upon entering you'll be greeted with welcoming staff and a garden like ambience. The place is quiet which is surprising considering that it is close to the hiway. The floor is made of wood and is elevated from the ground. I really liked it as it felt like home. Food is great! We ordered Sinigang na Bulalo. The staff even asked us to taste the soup first before they served it. I liked that they asked us first to try the taste making sure that we liked what we will eat. We also ordered Tawilis which is also great. Water they served has lemon infused for added taste (no charge). They also gave us a complimentary dessert (not sure why, perhaps it's New Year's), really made the kids happy. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices on the menu is justifiable and not too steep. Food is great. Though I suggest to have a small burner to keep the soup warm but it's just my preference and may not be necessary. Overall, this place is a must try and highly recommended. Update: Went back today. Had another great meal. Staff are still very friendly and accommodating as usual. I loved the seafood pancit! And they still offered complimentary dessert like the last time. If you're looking for a quiet place to dine, Ka Rey's is the place to be.

Nice little place serving filipino food. Thanks to Google maps we discovered this restaurant tucked away in Tagaytay. It has a nila hut design and food is delicious and affordable. Buttered prawns are a must order.

A hidden restaurant with great decor. We arrived around 7pm on a weekday and the restaurant was empty. A little bit pricey for the food we got (over 500 pesos for 2 people). They have unli rice, soup, and iced tea, but it didn’t feel worth it for the price, due to small meat portions (see photos). Pork was good (a bit salty) and fried chickens were small. Waitress was very sweet! Good service.

The place made an effort to let you feel you are away from the overcrowded tagaytay, and it did just that. I love how accommodating the staff were while serving in smiles. We ordered binakol which was served according to our taste. (they let you sip the soup first and they tune it to your preference.) My favorite though was the pinakbet. I appreciate how it was just subtle and not too garnished. What I did not like though, was they require you to take off your shoes before entering. Luckily, I wore slip ons.

Unique experience where you get to eat barefoot. Food was great - loved the baked tahong. Credit card though is not yet available but you can pay thru gcash or cash.

Place was hidden, and we were unsure if it was operating. We were the first ones there, and I must say that I like the place. It was family-friendly. You also need to remove your shoes. Food was reasonably priced as well. We ordered the group meal, and it came with unlimited rice, iced tea, and their specialty dessert for that day. I would definitely come back again.

The owner is very accommodating, we came here for the second time but this time we arrived 15 minutes before closing, he extended to cater for us saying after you came all the way here you will not leave without dinner. The chef was super flexible, we felt so much taken care of, as muslims, we have special requests such as; not having pork in all dishes we have ordered, not to use plates and cutleries used for pork dishes and replacing pork items with fish for us. Well recommended and definitely we’ll be back on the next visit. Thank you so much for hosting.

Everyone should try this place! Spontaneously looked for some place to eat last night and we luckily found this. This has been my best dining experience in Tagaytay. Feel at home lang while eating dahil naka yapak and very home-y ang atmosphere, walang lamok kahit open area, and syempre very delicious foods. Ordered the good for 2 package, with free soup, dessert, and iced tea. Super sarap ng seafoods lalo na yung pritong bangus. Crispy on the outside and super juicy inside. Service was very great din dahil we were immediately accommodated and instantly given some soup and dessert agad while waiting. Sobrang sarap ng suman nila and we took some to go pa. May pahabol pang dessert na pineapple with muscovado, sobrang sarap din! Super sulit ng binayad namin which is a reasonable price. I highly recommend this and will surely come back with my family. Note: it amazes me how the good and old reviews of this restaurant are still relevant as we went last night.

Concept is like Ka Lui in Palawan - barefoot, you can eat in bare hands. Sad their bulalo is not available that time. Tried also their crunchy tawilis and the spicy crab. Glad that this place was recommended by our priest friend from SVD. they also have a menu there - SVD salad. Was lucky to meet the friendly owner, Ka Rey and surprised to know that the owner is a female!

One of the best kept secret in Tagaytay's culinary scene. Good ambiance, cheap food, good serving size and most importantly. Good home cooked meals. And sometimes they even give good complimentary soup.

My favorite restaurant in Tagaytay! The food is delicious and the place is very homey. Really good ambiance and the staff is friendly as well. Whenever me and my friends plan to eat out we always say, tara karey na! I also like the fact na parang hidden resto siya, medyo hindi kasi kita kaagad yung resto. Seems mysterious and that's fun!

Everything was great until the momentbwe ordered coffee...we came to know they only have a small coffee machine. It took them soooo long to serve those 11 cups. Nevertheless, despite the number of guests they were still able to manage serving everyone.

(Translated by Google) They cook fast, the food is delicious, the staff is also friendly and their place is also beautiful. I type the baked mussels and their chili garlic shrimp and crab. There are only a few mosquitoes but that's really because they are a bit open space hehe we will come back here to try their other dishes :) (Original) Mabilis yung pagluto nila, masarap yung pagkain, friendly din ang staff at maganda din yung lugar nila. Type na type ko yung baked tahong at yung chili garlic hipon at alimasag nila. Meron lang lamok lamok ng konti pero ganun talaga kasi medyo open space sila hehe babalik kami dito para magtry ng iba pa nilang dishes :)
