The ambiance of the resto gives you a vibe that the food will be authentic Japanese but I'm very disappointed with my experience here. There were only 3 tables at the time that we went there but our order took more than 30 minutes to be served. The shoyu tonkotsu is just ok, the chasu and egg is plain and not marinated nor grilled. The dry curry rice is just okay. Lastly, the chicken yakitori is supposed to be grilled but it looked very pale. Oh it also took them 15 more minutes to process our bill.

A little cool when we arrived. But they turned the A.C. down. Parking is limited. Friendly server. Food looked as good as it tasted. Nice Saki offering. Menu needs descriptions of items because they are basically just Japanese names. I Googled each item to see a photo and description.

Awarded restaurant. Good for a Japanese restaurant in a foreign country. They just have to pay attention with order taking because they served to us a different favor of kushi yaki and was asked if we will take it but we really preferred SHIO not TARE so they changed it eventually...

If you still advertise with the 2018 certificate, you know that the service used to be better. They were more busy soaking tables with alcohol than seeing the guests' glasses with no more water. Only the friendly request put the service into action. The dishes came quickly, were partly served (sushi) on plates that were too small, so that the sea urchin sushi melted and tried to spread out on the table (I know that it was disinfected). The sushi/shashimi were very small, so I'm used to better quality/quantity from Taiwan. Price/performance does not match here, but maybe you will come back to the performance of 2018 at some point.

Me and my wife like Japanese food in Cebu so we tried Aozora out. I ordered sizzling squid- looks like no salt is added or the flavor taste like flat taste where the mushroom or the been sprout overpowered the flavor. Chicken teriyaki don- for me the chicken is not marinated but atleast the sauce is added Aozora iced tea taste like buko pandan Ambience is good with friendly staff

I was excited to eat here because of the good reviews I've been reading about this japanese resto and I would say I agree with most of the reviews. We ordered salmon sashimi, rainbow maki, yakisoba and tempura. We enjoyed everything we ate. The ingredients were fresh and prepared/cooked really well. The noodle dish is tasty and still firm and the veggies are not overcooked. The tempura is crispy and has a light batter. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I also like the feel of the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Our go-to Japanese restaurant in Tagaytay with a nice ambience and excellent customer service. However, food seems to have dropped in quality since they no longer have the same taste pre-pandemic so definitely set that into your expectations.

Place and ambiance: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Super love the vibe. They have indoor and al fresco dining. Quality and quantity of the food served was great but can be improved. Service was fast and the staff were attentive and accommodating. Would go back to this resto again.

I was a bit skeptical to try Aozora given the recent negative reviews, but you’ll really never know unless you try it. We ordered a tantanmen (spicy broth which I like), Tonkotsu Shoyu, Edamame, and Pork Bacon with Potato Yakitori. Too bad they don’t have the squid yakitori which I really wanted to try. I had a good birthday lunch. The servers were attentive and very approachable. I also overheard the other guests that they enjoyed their meal and the food was delicious so I’m giving it 5-stars

Everything was on the sweeter side, especially notable on the sushi rice. Freshness of the prawn in the ebi tempura we ordered was also questionable, it was fishy and broke down. Serving sizes were generous. Service was fine. Prices are quite high for the quality of food served.

Love the service and food here, but the atmosphere is what we keep coming back for. The area is very simply designed with concrete, wood, and a lot of plants, so you immediately get a sense of zen upon walking in. The dishes aren't the best or most authentic Japanese food but the ingredients used are fresh and the price is very reasonable. The staff are always courteous and attentive despite the large place with separate dining sections. If it isn't too hot out, I suggest taking a table in the al fresco area (which becomes a bar at night).

This is a place to visit if you're craving for authentic Japanese meal. I loved the grillled mackerel and tuna sahshimi. I tried the clear soup with mushrooms and it was so delicious!

Food is pricey for 2. Sushi roll, Katsudon and Tempura are all good, but Ramen, not so good.

Food was good. But the customer service was not. The one who got our order and served our food was not accomodating at all. Also not helpful during the time we were asking about the menu.

Good ambiance. Not worth it imo. The serving is very small and the waiters watches you while eating.

Everything we ordered was good - Yakiniku Steak, Aozora fried rice, Tuna Avocado salad, generous serving of mixed tempura etc. Service was great, outdoor dining is perfect though seating capacity is limited.

The place is serene and there is a lot of parking space. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. We selected the indoor seating because it is windy outside. The food were great. It ranges to 300-400 pesos. There is a bit of wait because they prepared the food after we ordered. That is okay with us because we took pictures outside while waiting. The food was served hot and crispy. The mango shake is plain. It seems it is just ice and mango, no sugar and milk. All of the food that we ordered tastes great! We paid 2,500+ for 4 people. The only thing that I didn't like is the restroom. There is only one restroom for male and female so it is a hassle if there are more guests. I also had a problem with the flush because the tank ran out of water. There is no pail to flush as well.

Very nice Japanese restaurant. The best we have found in Tagaytay. The sushi is fresh. Raw tuna, salmon and other fish. Hard to find. Prices are higher than average, but reasonable for the quality of the food served.
