Cool popular landmark of Calamba... very old and yet standing still. I first saw a photonof this decades back when I was still in the elementary.

The location is very good. You'll be able to see it after you visit Saint Joseph Parish and Rizal Shrine. It is located in between.

It has a nice view if the surrounding area. There are stalls to be found at certain months. Mostly during festivals and Christmas. Although, vandalism is rampant in the area. I don't have anything against skateboarders but the skateboarders that litter the place during the night seem to have an attitude. As if they own the place. Overall, it is a pleasant place with dotted amenities.

The iconic landmark of Calamba. It symbolizes the origin of our town's name (spaniards asking the name of the place from a filipina native carrying a kalan and banga on her head...not understanding what was being asked, she answered "kalan, banga".

It was rich in history. I love the fact that here is a 3 in 1 tour spot for Laguna, the worlds largest clay pot will welcome you to the birthplace of the Philippine's National Hero right next to one of Laguna's historical churches. Be wary of tricycle drivers the way they charge is outrageous.

The huge representation of the Banga (clay pot) has been a mainstay landmark in downtown Calamba for several decades now. It symbolizes the origin of the place name of the town which dates back to the Spanish colonial period. Within the exterior of the clay pot can be found a stylized version of a map depicting Calamba's barangays. As of 2022 access within the interior of the structure is limited and one cannot scale it using the stairs as it is restricted - with barriers in place.

👍 Good place for your early morning and evening jog. There's not much to do here on weekday mornings since it is used as parking space by city hall employees. Best times to go here are during weekday afternoons and weekends. Street food vendors are here usually during weekends; weekday mornings you ca...

👍 Today the area is really clean. Kudos 👍 to Barangay Aplaya. I do my excercise/stretching and inhale the fresh air. Sana No Vendors allowed inside the perimeter. There's a proper place for them(before entering to baywalk area.)👍😊🌤
