Pico De Loro Beach

Resort hotel

😠 We went here on Aug. 14-16 with my family and relatives. For me, the long drive just to be here is not worth it. Yes, their pools are nice, and the sunset and view are beautiful but the beach water is not good, especially when it rained (it rained every night during our stay), the water in the beach... People often mention beach, water, rooms, hotel, clean, nice, good, resort, stay, experience,

We went here on Aug. 14-16 with my family and relatives. For me, the long drive just to be here is not worth it. Yes, their pools are nice, and the sunset and view are beautiful but the beach water is not good, especially when it rained (it rained every night during our stay), the water in the beach is brown and leafy. There are no nearby outside restaurants so if you didn’t bring food to cook, you’ll be stuck eating in their restaurants. The food on both their restaurants - Lagoa and Pico Restaurants and Bar is expensive and not worth your money because it doesn’t taste good. And the service in Lagoa is BAD. Takes too long to prepare food, employees like chitchatting, they don’t go to your table to get orders unless you call them, and seems like they can’t handle more than 20 people in their restaurants. The rooms are owned to different people, so it depends on the cleaner of the owner on how clean your rooms will be. My family stayed in Myna A 109, the rooms is clean, it has water in the dispenser, it has refrigerator - the wire shelf in the freezer though was rusty, and the beds’ mattress are thin and cheap I can feel the frame when lying down. And the mattress and pillows are stinky, like they have been wet and were not dried properly. And the water in our bathroom was dirty. It was light brown even after running. I would post a photo of the water but no option to attach a photo in this review. So all in all, it’s not worth it going here!

I visited here with my girlfriend and her family. I was expecting a really nice resort based on what they’ve told me. However, the resort itself was very mediocre and very overpriced for the quality, we got an overpriced air bnb for a night which was fine, as the hotel had no rooms left. We got a wristband that you need to keep on which was very frustrating to constantly have a ribbon on your wrist. The beach was okay bar some patches of rubbish floating around in the sea. The biggest disappointment was the food, the restaurant had some of the worst food and pizza I’ve ever tasted. It took 40 minutes to get it and it’s basically just a pizza someone threw together and put in an electric oven. If you’re going to market yourself as a classy resort at least have some decent food available. Let one of your restaurants to a decent franchise if you’re not going to put in any effort yourself into creating above very sub standard food. I was delighted to finally be leaving after spending a day there. Also very classless to have review botting for your ratings. Improve your resort and maybe you will not need to artificially increase your rating score. Those profiles are clearly fake if you look at them and all come within the same hour of each other posting.

Heading to Pico from Manila is a good short drive. The rooms in the condo are okay but they dont have water heater in the bathroom. The service is not what I expected for this kind of a resort. The food option is very minimal. It is expensive and not worth it.

light brownish fine sand. almost same as in Lobo. stretched shoreline sandy middle and rocky nearby to both ends. long shallow area. deep start spots are marked with buoy. sports acitivities and open-cabanas available with min fee. entrance fee 1200php adult, 600kids, inclusive of clubhouse pool use and beach, and buggy rides for roaming around. buggies are frequent. free shower at the beach. parking available. clean shores, 1-3 staff were always teamed up in cleaning/picking up sea debris and guests' left trash(sadly). kudos to SM management; they've provided honest living for fellow Batanguenos. 1-1 1/2 drive from Nasugbu Town Proper. Best refill snacks from here. Overnight is accomodated. Building community, inclusive of PicoSands Hotel, and 5 other buildings serves as Hotel Apartments(can contact owners or agents for rsvp). Apartment rental exclusive of entrance fee.

Rented private apartment but had to pay 900 pesos for each person to enter area. The water was brown, probably because of rain. If you want to go into the woods to the next beach following a track you get stoped by a guard and have to pay almost 5000 pesos for a guide to be allowed out of the area. But at least our rented room was nice. Tip: Bring your own food, not go after rain and a lot of money

I'm pretty generous in giving reviews but my experience here for our 2 nights and 3 days stay was just OKAY-ISH. In summary, our accomodation in Jakana B feels run down. We soaked in the sea for just 5 minutes because the beach and water was littered with rubbish (mask , plastic, and god knows what). EVERYTHING was expensive. The thing I didnt like the most was the tags that they put on your hand after you went inside.I dont know, but I feel like this is a little bit of discrimination on the guests of the resort, plus you are not allowed to remove it while staying. The good thing I liked about the place was the picturesque view. The sea (from afar), the mountain and trees. Hopefully in the future things will improve

Beach water is with plastic garbage from time to time. Comsuption trap is there.Facilities usage is not as they promoted as when they charged you.👎👎 Any hotel with swimming pool will be better choice than it.

We visited last week from July 11-13, and our overall experience with the facilities was fantastic. The beach was safe, and the pool was clean, with all areas well maintained. However, I must address the food aspect. Unfortunately, the food experience significantly detracted from the otherwise excellent stay. While the prices were high, the quality and value for money did not meet our expectations. The worst incident occurred on our second day when we ordered bulalo and discovered a piece of plastic in it. This was a highly disappointing and unsanitary experience. Food quality and safety should be an area of focus for improvement.

Overall it was okay… Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful resort but the food and amenities are way overpriced…you could get better deals at other resorts.. plus they do not accept cash which is very inconvenient. It’s a beautiful place but I am not satisfied and would not come back.

We stayed two nights. Earlier booked a 3 bedroom condo unit loacated Carola B via AirbnB. Coming from Marikina, it was an 88km journey. Good it was January and there was no traffic in Cavite. Upon reaching the boundary of Ternate-Nasugbu, the route was scenic and majestic. It was cloudy and raining and the fog blanketed the mountains. It was a very enjoyable experience during that ride. Upon reaching the place, one has to check in first at the front office beside the entrance gate. Have to present the invitation from the host, owner of the condo unit, and pay an additional Pesos 1300 per head. They will provide you an orange wristband which has to be worn at all times. Our condo unit is located on the 6th floor which had a commanding view of the beach and portion of the lagoon. It was rainy but we managed to tour the place in the shuttles that abound. There is included wifi in the condo but signal is very weak and used instead my mobile data which is fast although only 4G. Walked around the lagoon nightime and it was wonderful. The swimming pool and beach especially the latter are great. We brought food which we cooked in the condo. The nearby pico sands hotel has its restaurant but quite expensive. The 1300 per head is quite expensive in my view. Better to stay at least two nights so that you can maximize the experience.

The beach itself is fair enough, with the nice sand and clear water. The waves were strong during our visit, but it was nevertheless enjoyable to swim in. Here are a few things to mind though: • Limited seating/beach chairs especially for how busy it gets during peak times • Sometimes there may be an increased presence of marine life such as jellyfish or sea urchins. While there are efforts in removing them, still do be advised. As for the bar, the price of the food is higher than usual, but that's expected considering it's catered towards hotel guests staying and tourists. There are a few things I hope they can improve on, however, such as: • The water pressure of the shower areas • Replacement/overhaul of broken facilities especially the faucets of said shower areas • Better clean up of both the beach area and the surrounding water. From time to time, garbage can be seen • Presence of more life guards

This place is overrated. All the staffs were not friendly and not accommodating at all, from security guards to reception staffs. The place itself has no “Wow” scenery or area to be called as exclusive beach resort. The sands were not even clean, the only thing we enjoyed was the activities, jet ski , etc. Checking in was so complicated, you have to show them all the booking papers, and they need to confirm the identity of the unit owner before they let you in. They will ask you to pay 1,300 per person just for the entrance and they will not allow you to use any facilities unless the owner of the unit you booked through airbnb is with you. We had lunch at LAGOA, when we sat there was a bird poop on our table, i asked the server 3 TIMES to help us clean it, she just kept on nodding and we ended up cleaning it by ourselves, the food is below average, We ordered pizza and sandwich and it was cold. when asked to reheat the pizza, it came back after 10mins and it was burnt. When we left the unit, the receptionist in our building didn't even say goodbye, she just looked at us and asked what room we were staying. Again, this place is below average at its best. Don’t waste your money and your time.

The place is not that well maintained. Its not that exclusive anymore. Not that well sanitize as well especially that shower rooms of the swimming pools for male. The front beach is just okay, I’m not that satisfied with our stay.

This place is really awesome and great to relax and enjoy nature with family, friends, relatives and even for a big group. Complete with sports facilities at the club house and water activities at the beach. Visa/Master Card or Gcash is the mode of payment at PICO DE LORO.

A nature filled beautiful weekend getaway place. Condo rooms and hotel rooms were all exquisite. Beach salinity is quite nice and not so strong to the eyes nor skin. Nice pools and sceneries all around. Overall 5 stars is simply not enough.

Awesome beach and grounds. Transportation hard to get to. No convenient store. Be careful with the Airbnb rentals.

Beach sand is grey but the water is clean. It’s a small cove that is shared by so many condo unit owners, club members, and all their guests, plus those who rent units with the entire family in tow. Went on a Monday but all loungers were filled, the usual IG photo activities going on, parents yelling at their kids (even whistling from afar like it was a sporting event). Come lunch time, the crowd eased up, probably afraid of the noonday sun. The restaurant by the beached served very good pizzas and quesadillas. So, that’s a plus. Will probably just rent a boat to go to another cove for a more relaxing beach stay.

We have been going to Pico De Loro for more than 10 years now. Before the pandemic, we noticed that the amenities weren't being maintained well anymore, and the service and quality of the food being served were starting to decline. The place was becoming too crowded with some very unruly guests. When Covid hit, we stopped going for a couple of years. Fast forward to 2023. We came back and were pleasantly surprised that the service has improved significantly! The staff have always been friendly, attentive and courteous but even more so now. Some amenities seem to have been improved, and the quality of the food (especially the breakfast buffet at the hotel) Is now better than ever. The rooms have also been refurbished. Despite all this, I'm keeping my overall review at 3 stars for now. There are still a lot of things they can improve before I can bump this up to 4 stars. One very easy thing to change is the music they play at the pool area. It's too loud and "clubby" and completely ruins the relaxing experience of being around nature. There was no running water at the hotel lobby restroom sinks (both male and female). Sound insulation inside the hotel rooms aren't very good. You can hear the kids in the corridors and can be quite an earful when you just want to take a quiet nap.

The place is good and luxurious. Perfect for people who want to have vacations that is kinda too far from the city (4hrs away from Metro Manila) Bet you will enjoy the view on your way kasi ang relaxing ng green surroundings. Naalagaan yung bundok at preserves pa din yung paligid kahit may mga ecological successions nang nangyari. Food- pricey, suggest na bring your snacks from the outside instead of buying them from there. May buffet din inside every meal na available which is quite pricey Staffs- accomodating and welcoming Pool- clean and big Beach- not so attractive. Black/brown sand; maalon Amenities- readily available; may bayad lahat except gym and pingpong CR- clean and maganda Cost- you may directly inquire to them but I must say costly nga ang packages nila

We had our family outing and staycation here last October of 2022; we booked 4 rooms for around 15 pax. It was a bit pricey I would say, although its location was very private and serene, good for group or family outing or for couple wanted to escape crowded beach and resort. Their lobby was not bad nor something with grandeur or lavishing décor. We were greeted by their nice staff upon our arrival and checking in was a really slow not sure because we are a huge group or rooms are still being clean upon our arrival, so we decided to take our lunch at one of their restaurants at the lobby – Food was nice though really pricey again😁 So while waiting for our rooms to be ready I had chance to see their surroundings and amenities we can use. They have very nice greenery and landscape at the back of the hotel with a huge lake and bridge where you can take photos, they also have nice and huge swimming pools, one of which is for the kids and the other is an infinity pool for adults. Rooms, was not fascinating but not too bad (just anormal room), it was clean and tidy but a bit smell of an old rood (bearable I would say), their room is equipped with a good air conditioning which is really important especially if its summer👍 So over all ambiance of their hotel lobby and rooms was very basic and just normal. Now, we have access at their private beach, part of what we paid for, where all of my family members tried to see and enjoy – its still a five minutes walk from the hotel or you can take their free shuttle going back and forth to the beach from the hotel - so the beach sand was brown but very fine, while water at the beach was ok, it was darkish brown but very clean. Also, have another restaurant at the pool side of the hotel where its really nice to have dinner, good food, good ambiance, and very friendly staff – again its pricey here😁 Our overall family experience was okay, great hospitality by their staff with just basic rooms and amenities but wonderful surroundings and landscape👍👍

had our outing here last summer.. great service by basically all staff. rooms are spacious (we rented a penthouse unit in Jacana via airbnb). the location is obviously not somewhere you can just commute but if you have a car, it's pretty convenient to travel here.

My 3rd time here. Great place to relax if you are nature and beach lover. The pool has the best view. Food and drinks are quite pricey though.

The beach is very nice and relaxing. But since it's a "cove," the view is limited. And you may want to see more.

Be prepared. They have a specific section (Center portion) of the beach for the guests (unaccompanied) which are the guests staying at Airbnb condo. This section had no life guards and maybe 10 beach benches for the mammoth crowd. You cannot access the ‘Beach Club’ which was specific to the hotel guests this was where all water sport activities are located. There was another section of the beach which can be accessed by paying PHP 750/- which would give you access to the covered beach benches and a demarcated area with life guards. Which made no sense. If you want beach towels you have to pay PHP 50/- per towel and strangely you have to present your ID along with your bank card to rent them. We argued with the lady at the counter regarding the ID with no respite, phew. Went back to our room, grabbed our towels and came back instead. The beach was clean and the water was ok though.

The resort is great! Lots of activities to do. The warm pool, the beach, and the outdoor activities (table tennis, basketball, cycling, birdwatching, etc.) Entrance is expensive: the one time payment good for 1 week was Php 1400 as of Mar 2023 ("high" season) so it's better to stay longer. I especially liked the birds. They are everywhere in the resort! I already visited twice but I will visit again if there's a chance.

A place for vacation, gatherings, and relaxation! Pico De Loro beach has been one of the highlights of my summer. With live bands playing, beach activities, and the beach itself, there are lots of fun things to do. The beach itself has fine sand and near the beach are areas you can stroll. The whole country club is also spacious and picturesque. Staff are great and very accommodating! I hope in the future they can provide more spaces for parking. Also, I hope there are other activities available such as UFO or other water activities. Here are some tips to boost your experience: • Try staying for longer. Make your stay at least 3 days to maximize your experience. • Bring appropriate beach wears and sunblock. • Mingle at morning and stroll at night. The place has some really nice spots at night. • Enjoy the food at the buffet. • Staff are very polite and helpful! Ask them if you need any help.

Everything was great! Except for food choices. Majority of the restaurants are closed, so there are limited food choices. But nonetheless, a very relaxing and peaceful short vacation.. ☺

Nice place to relax. Pricey yet worth it. If you are not particular to a diet breakfast is good too. Close to Metro Manila, will take only around two hours.

Great stay at Pico Sands Hotel last July 2022. Good points: * Comfy rooms * Great staff Food at the hotel was expensive but with ample servings. You will realize why the rates are a bit expensive - security is everywhere even at the beach. I had a knee scratch from playing beach volleyball and the whole first aid team came! Nice! Will definitely come back if I can.
