Came here on a late Saturday afternoon, the ambiance is great as always. I love the open setup, the farm house feel of the interior, and the ample parking. We ordered the mushroom salad which is our favorite dish. The greens were fresh, the dressing was tangy. The candied pili is the perfect complement to the salad. The octopus was cooked well, firm yet soft on the inside with a great bite. It had a bright spicy glaze with just the right hint of sweetness. The steak was cooked to our liking, seasoned with the right amount of salt to highlight the flavor of the meat as front and center. The Jicama puree with the roasted carrots were also amazing. Third time to dine here, and would recommend it to couples coming in for a date. I’d recommend coming here with the sun still up as it approaches dusk. Perfect for pictures. πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘Œ

A little cool when we arrived. But they turned the A.C. down. Parking is limited. Friendly server. Food looked as good as it tasted. Nice Saki offering. Menu needs descriptions of items because they are basically just Japanese names. I Googled each item to see a photo and description.

Great food and warm service. Enjoyed the roast chicken, salad, pastas. The dinner rolls were very very soft! Cozy, homey atmosphere. Would visit again to try the other dishes.

Cozy and romantic ambience. It also has small garden setting and al fresco which is really ideal this pandemic. My favorites are ebi tempura (shrimps are big and fresh, I have allergy with seafood but I don't allergy with Aozora ebi tempura so I know it is really fresh), grilled shio saba (very juicy and not dry), aozora salad (fresh greens), wagyu saikoro steak (I like it how to serve it with sauce on sizzling plate)

Everything is okay. Do not try the yakitori. It's so bad. They dont use the real yakitori sauce called Taro. I dont know where the hell they got their sauce from. Taro is simple to make.

Had a sub-par experience at this restaurant and sad to say it doesn't live on its hype. We have waited 20min for a simple order of Shoyu Ramen, Teriyaki-don and Negima yakitori. When the orders came, the ramen was only warm and the yakitori was already cold (with cold sauce). For the taste, their ramen tastes generic the soup base taste more like beef rather than pork. The yakitori was slightly dry, again to mention that the sauce was cold. The teriyaki was ok-ish. For its price, not worth it and not a satisfying experience.

Went to the restaurant's main branch at SVD Road (across the biggest Starbucks outlet in Tagaytay) and this is right beside the Containers Eco hotel

The food is nice. Although the takoyaki is not authentic. The rest of the menu is ok.

I don't think they even deserve this one star. We were excited to eat here as the reviews were very promising and they claim to be the #1 Japanese restaurant in Tagaytay. But man, it was the worst restaurant we ate at during our trip. I don't even know how to describe it. The bulalo ramen I ordered was watery and the beef was rubbery. I even found a piece of FOIL in the soup. It looked like foil from instant noodle packets. My friends ordered other items, I remember one ordered chicken and it was so bland (she told me to taste it). The only good thing we ordered is the sashimi, which did not require any cooking.

A OK. If you're searching for a meal that's warm and hearty but not necessarily rich as most filipino food served in Tagaytay, go for this Japanese restaurant Aozora.

I always look forward to dining in Aozora Tagaytay whenever I go to Tagaytay! They have the best teriyaki, beef gyudon and maki! I also like that they have very nice ambiance and the people are very nice.

When a restaurant claims to be the #1 Japanese restaurant and the #2 restaurant overall in Tagaytay, you tend to expect more. Sadly my expectations are not met. Their menu is printed on long bond paper, not even laminated. Some of the best sellers on their menu was not available. The soup base of their tempura soba is really disappointing, it just tasted like hot water with ordinary soy sauce on it. I don't think they are using real Japanese rice too, because theirs is not as sticky as Japanese. Their fried rice with wagyu cubes would have tasted and looked a little better had they put at least a little bit of leeks in there. The dipping sauce of the fried chicken is just plain ketsup, which u don't think is used in Japanese meals. The only reasons I'm giving them 2 stars is because they have a very courteous waitress and their rainbow maki is really good.

They served the best cakes and food in town! Tres leches is our favorite. Loved the location, since it is not too crowded. Hopefully, it'll not be too crowded on the new location that they will be having.

  • 4/5 Jaylord Moses De V. 1 year ago on Google
The food was excellent and lives up to the promises of good food and ambience. The serving portions are enough for 2 people and their signature leg of beef is more than enough for 4 hungry individuals. The serving time is reasonable and the service is top tier. If there was one thing I'd point out is that the cakes are on the sweet side, to the point that you might want to hold back from eating too much. Overall, a very nice experience and worth the trip. Also worth coming back. They also allow pets, but I wouldn't recommend bringing your pet if they are not behaved.

Stumbled upon this restaurant from a trusted friend and everything is quite nice and charming. The interior homey vibe is warm and inviting. Service is top notch and most of all food that was served to us were so good! We had liver pΓ’tΓ© that is rich and lovely. Braised pork belly is very tender and full of umami goodness. Roasted chicken is superb! Melts in your mouth tender. Everything is spectacularly good! Will recommend and go back again!

Patty was very juicy and flavorful. Buns were too thick (for me). Veggies were fresh. Onions were raw, tastes fine but I feel like it would've been better if it were caramelized. Potato and sweet potato fries were fine but it had some bitter aftertaste. Staff were nice and approachable.

A very quaint restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of Tagaytay's tourist establishments. The food is very delicious and is true comfort food ❀️ My personal favorites are the Pares and Burrata (which are only available during breakfast) Their desserts are also delicious! They have the best Strawberry shortcake I've ever tasted in Luzon ❀️

The place is serene and there is a lot of parking space. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. We selected the indoor seating because it is windy outside. The food were great. It ranges to 300-400 pesos. There is a bit of wait because they prepared the food after we ordered. That is okay with us because we took pictures outside while waiting. The food was served hot and crispy. The mango shake is plain. It seems it is just ice and mango, no sugar and milk. All of the food that we ordered tastes great! We paid 2,500+ for 4 people. The only thing that I didn't like is the restroom. There is only one restroom for male and female so it is a hassle if there are more guests. I also had a problem with the flush because the tank ran out of water. There is no pail to flush as well.

Wagyu steak really worth it and affordable. Katsu curry, yeah man!!! Over-all this is a 4 out of 5 for me. Happy eating

We went to The Fatted Calf Ph in Silang, Cavite and ate the best roasted leg ever. Was told by the Chef (Jayjay) that it took 10 hours with lots of care to created the masterpiece. It was so tender and juicy! The entire leg can probably feed 4 hungry people. Super worth the price! We also had the waffles made from scratch which was spongy, crispy, and soft in the inside. The place is quiet and cozy, perfect for dates and family. Will definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

Was extremely impressed with Jorge’s ability to free pour 4 bottles at one time into my hurricane yard-stick. We ordered a Hurricane and Mother Frogger and we were extremely impressed watching him make our drinks. Between Christian and Jorge we had an awesome time posted up at the bar inside the nightclub. Don’t be too shy to holler for service, these guys are just under staffed so ask for service and they will show you an amazing time!! Thank you Jorge and Christian for the great time

You can really sense the passion of the owners and their dedication to the food they make. All the food put into the table are products of selflessness, skill and talent put together by chef J and Reah. We ordered the 10 hour roasted whole leg beef. (We pre ordered a day before) and The beef ofcourse is very very tender, fresh and tasty. But id love to commend the carrots and potatoes also cuz they tasted so special to me. I loved their salad also that has a very sweet pumpkin on top of it. Would definitely recommend my friends and family to visit. And would personally go back myself to try other dishes. Thanks again for the wonderful dining experience chef J and Reah.

Best decision to go to The Fatted Calf vs other/usual Tagaytay places. Why? 1. Avoided the traffic - Tagaytay on weekends is like EDSA on weekdays, I sit too long in traffic on a daily basis not gonna ruin my weekend in one. 2. Good food, done right - most of the things on the menu are familiar items, some crowd favorites and some interesting selections. Their bread is made fresh, served with butter from Bukidnon (I think). All their meat are sourced from local farmers, from free range duck and chicken, naturally farmed pork and grass fed beef, providing the literal meaning to farm-to-table. You will really taste the difference. We ordered the chicken liver pate, served with pipinito and rain relish. Try not to be too obvious when you savor your first bite. It's simple, but done excellently. Next was the Thai beef salad. This left me speechless. Please order it. It was beautifully dressed, the vegetables weren't drowning in the dressing and the beef was perfectly seasoned. Everything about it was perfect. Finish your meal with the award winning rum cake. Absolutely amazing, 3. The owners aren't just amazing chefs, but the kindest too. The cool tagaytay breeze perfectly complements the warm smiles of Chef Jay and Chef Rhea. I am grateful that they decided to open their home for other to enjoy the meals that they prepare.

Was looking for a nice time since reviews are good but went home disappointed. Arrived at the restaurant at 2010H. Waited for 5mins and when the waitress approached we were told that their last order call is 2030H. When I told her its only 2015H she went to the kitchen and want back saying that we have to wait for 45mins for our food if we are willing to wait. Not a nice way to treat first time customers.
