This place is a gem! You're not only paying for the good food, but for the scenic view as well. It's situated at the perfect location where you can clearly see the Taal. Even though the restaurant was jam packed when we went there, the ambiance was still serene and peaceful. There's also a band who goes from table to table to serenade you which makes the experience even more better! Upon entering the place, you could already feel the staff's warm welcome along with the interior design that takes you back to the Spanish era. Their food aren't the best but it's good enough for the price.

The place is amazing -- whether you're dining as a couple or as a family. The scenery overlooking the pineapple fields is beautiful and the cool wind breezing through reminds you that you are in Tagaytay. The food is a must try as well as the requisite Bulalo. Enjoy!

Loved the place the scenery, the spacious hall for dining.. Accoommodatinf staffs. It's like a buffet type restaurant if you look into but you can order affordable meals available on their counter. If you are craving for food that is not yet cooked, you must be willing to wait for a maximum of 30 minutes.

One of the best places for Ballroom Dancing in the Tagaytay area. Spacious, well decorated, with good Ballroom music, good food and friendly people. When you guys are in the area, dont forget to drop-by, dine and dance!

Unlike other popular bulalo restos in tagaytay, RSM serves quality bulalo soup. Furthermore, other dishes like karekare and pancin canton tastes a lot better than others because the ingredients are natural and not full of seasoning. Yes,its s pet friendly resto outside but diaper or cage is needed if u dine inside.

Lutong bahay. No frills dining here in Tagaytay. Not too crowded (Monday) lunch time break. 3-5 people per serving highly recommend for those heavy rice eaters:) Make sure to order silvana's bibingka to go also

Very very nice service crew. Food would look like it's pricy but was good and in generous servings. Nice view and good draft of air through the very wide windows at the far side of the resto. Repeat, food crew are very attentive. Makes up for the price.

I can certainly say this is the worst dining experience I've ever had. RSM Lutong Bahay fails in all aspects of restaurant standards. We dined here on Oct. 31 for dinner. We were supposed to dine at Bag of Beans pero super haba ng pila, so we decided to dine here because, based on the name, "lutong bahay" siya β€” and you can't go wrong with lutong bahay. We ordered simple Filipino dishes β€” chicken tinola, beef kaldereta, and broccoli with beef. However, they managed to mess up such straight-to-the-point dishes. The chicken tinola was incredibly salty. One sip of soup tasted like one tablespoon of salt. There was no depth of flavor, just downright saltiness. I made my mom taste it, and she agreed it was inedible. There were only 3 tiny pieces of chicken and minimal vegetables. We asked the server how it could be fixed, and he offered to add more water. It also took them so long to serve the chicken tinola and kaldereta. Take note the restaurant was practically empty. 30 minutes into eating, the server notified us that the broccoli with beef was unavailable. We were already so disappointed with the taste of the food; but we were starving, so we didn't argue with the servers anymore. We asked what dishes were available, but the server said she wasn't sure because it is a karinderia-style restaurant PALA. So, we went to the "karinderia" and saw the remaining food. We thought that for the price, we'd be getting freshly cooked dishes, but all the dishes were pre-cooked na pala. The dishes have probably been there since morning. Then, the server in the karinderia couldn't even give us our order agad agad kasi marami raw orders. You don't even have to cook anything from scratch, literal na magrereheat lang kayo and it would take 30 minutes?! The chopsuey was horrible – rubbery, gummy, and tasted days old. We really could not stomach the food. Overall, I absolutely regret dining here. This resto does not have any safety or quality standards, and our experience here ruined our trip. There are so many more unpleasant things I could say about this restaurant. Anyway, my advice to anyone who plans to dine here is to stick with established restaurants in Tagaytay with quality control measures.

Food was great, service was awesome and the atmosphere was cool and relaxing. There was a storm when we came here but it was worth it. Not a single food did not taste great and it was refilled really fast. Kudos to the staff. Super great job!!!

RSM Lutong Bahay is more than a dining destination; it's a culinary retreat where the flavors of home take center stage. With its native vibe, this restaurant provides not just a meal but an experience that feels like a warm embrace from familiar traditions. The menu at RSM Lutong Bahay offers not only good food but also dishes that are perfect for sharing. It's a place where the joy of dining is amplified in the company of friends and family, creating moments of togetherness around a table laden with delicious fare. While the prices might lean towards the higher side, the value lies in the quality of the dining experience. Every dish tells a story of Filipino culinary heritage, and the investment in taste and ambiance is evident. Dining at RSM Lutong Bahay is a particularly enchanting experience in the evening. The spacious setting, combined with the native aesthetics, creates an Instagrammable backdrop that captures the essence of the Philippines. For those staying at Silvina's Cabin, RSM Lutong Bahay is not just a dining option; it's an extension of the overall retreat experience. It's where native charm, good food, and moments of sharing converge to create a dining journey worth savoring. #RSMLutongBahay #NativeFlavors #CulinaryRetreat #FilipinoHeritage

The shrimp okoy and chicharon bulaklaknis the best. The crispy pata is kinda lame and not so tender & juicy. Kare kare is good but kinda sweet as well as the bagoong paste. Price is okay for the serving size.

Avoid this place if you're hungry and dont have a lot of patience. Service is poor. Food on display isn't replenished. Food isn't appetizing and forgettable. First time eating here and the experience is not good. Ambiance is good though.

I was expecting more on this restaurant since they have several branches in Tagaytay. Food : From their name itself Lutong Bahay, most of their menu are lutong bahay. But the taste were nothing unusual. Price: For the taste it could have been cheaper. Place: I can only commend on the view of farm area that you can see from their window.

Ambiance is really great ... having a breeze of cool air thru open windows at the ground level… the spacious hall for dining area is a fast-food area ...and open dining yet sheltered inside wood cottages at the second level... Great view overlooking a pineapple field... also you can see the palace in the sky afar ... price its fair .... Like a buffet type restaurant if you look into but you can order affordable meals available on their counter. Kare-kare and mixed seafoods are great…. the staffs are friendly and accommodating. the place location is good away from the heavy traffic at the restaurant alley at Aguinaldo hiway...

Serving Bulalo in a Flamed Soup Tray. They said it was good for 5-6 persons. I'd rather doubt it. True enough we were only 3 and there's a scarcity for the soup alone. Beef could be better. It's not a tender as I've expected it to be. Dined around 11am not yet crowded. Place is ambiant and full of potential. I wish and hope the staffs gets trained to handle the large crowds they're supposed to cater for. 3-stars for poor cleaning. 3-stars for quality and quantity of the chewy beef. 3-stars for pricing. 4-stars for decor. 4-stars for location exactly beside the national road. Lastly, 4-stars for parking spaces that can accommodate 10 cars the least. Maybe I'd dine again when it is not crowded.
