Here’s a bit of information and history: β€œVertical clearance of 4.85m, 300m long and it completed the Ternate Nasugbu Highway Loop for Southwest Luzon. Almost 4 years of construction that commenced on July 1, 2013. Kaybiang Tunnel, Philippines' longest subterranean road tunnel under Mt. Palay-Palay (aka Mt. Pico de Loro) that linked the towns of Ternate, Cavite and Nasugbu, Batangas.” You can stop before and after the tunnel for photo shoots. And there are stores around for some refreshments.

Part of the public works built in Maragondon, Cavite. This tunnel provides access from the neighboring province of Batangas (mainly its western towns e.g. Nasugbu) towards Cavite. Seaward is the tunnel's western end, which is a downward slope for several hundred meters. The tunnel is cut from the mountains of Maragondon which dominates the entire area and is still heavily forested.

I suggest you park (if you want to take pictures) on the front of it (coming from Ternate, Cavite which is a 30 mins drive) because at the other end of the tunnel, it is prohibited to park, go near or even take pictures. Also, there will be lots of people on the front. And if you go pass the tunnel and drive like (3-10 mins I forgot) you can actually find a good place to take pictures, camp and stay overnight. πŸ’œ

This is a definitely must visit place especially if you are a motorcycle rider. The serene and the scenic route is unmatchable. Plan your trip, it may be dangerous if you will ride when it is raining as the route is landslide prone. I have noticed huge chunks of rocks are barely clinging to the soil on the side of the hill.

Common destinations for cyclist and riders and short ride near Metro. Beautiful road, cool breeze. Relaxing ride. Weekend is usually crowded. And theres a certain time that the tunnel is guarded by authorities, so parking, taking photos and stopping by is nor allowed.

Known as the longest highway tunnel in the Philippines, the Kaybiang Tunnel is popular among travelers and motorists due to its dramatic driving inside the tunnel, also for the wild monkeys arround the mountain...

Kaybiang Tunnel and Viewdeck: A Road Less Traveled, A Memory More Treasured! πŸš—πŸŒ„ Nestled in Maragondon's embrace is the iconic Kaybiang Tunnel, a passage to an enchanting realm where nature and craftsmanship converge. As you navigate through this engineering marvel, the rhythmic echoes of your journey amplify the sense of adventure. Strategically position your vehicle, and the panoramic view that unfolds from the near viewdeck becomes a feast for the eyes. The distant mountains, kissed by the sun's golden hues, form a backdrop that invites you to pause and marvel at the canvas painted by nature. During our visit, we encountered Clarisse, a talented young photographer. Entrusting her with our moments, she skillfully captured the essence of our journey. In return, we supported her by purchasing the delightful pastillas she and her friends crafted with care. Their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to their craft are commendable, showcasing the resilience and creativity of the youth. Kaybiang Tunnel and the nearby viewdeck beckon travelers not just to witness the breathtaking landscapes but to engage with the vibrant souls that call this place home. It's a reminder that every journey, no matter how short, is an opportunity to create connections and leave a positive imprint. Embark on the road less traveled, not merely to reach a destination, but to craft memories that linger long after the journey's end. πŸ›£οΈπŸŒŸ #KaybiangTunnel #MaragondonVibes #JourneyMemories

We travelled from Tagaytay to Nasugbu to Kaybiang tunnel. The route was very pretty and relaxing especially near the tunnel, you will be able to see the sea. Although, the traffic was gruesome in tagaytay, but overall I hope to comeback again with other riding buddies. As always Chill, Relax, and have a coffee.

Nothing's special- It's just short normal tunnel. At first we thought it would be a long trip under a tunnel. Maybe because it's located on a mountain other than that. It's just as Ayala/Magallanes EDSA underpass. If you wanna take your photo just make sure you get an angle so you would be able to cover those pips behind you hahaha

We did not expect to pass by as we're already heading home. People there said theres a lot of tourists during weekends which causes heavy traffic. There are vendors which will offer to take your picture and in exchange you need to buy their products. Nothing really special about the place. I ask why motorcycle blow their horns when they are passing by and one of the vendor said its the same as when we cross a bridge its a belief that there are spirits that roam around the place and you need to do it to drive away bad luck.

Great destination for a long ride. Expect a crowd though. Though most of them are polite, a few can be real..uhm..unpolite. just keep calm and stay positive. Enjoy your achievement.

The place still famous to all Riders and Bikers, it is well guarded by Police & Marines to strictly continue to implement the strict health protocols, Picture taking is not allowed but all visitors can't hide their excitement.

Nice place, going here at Kaybiang Tunnel is a challenge to your driving skills but awaits you of the beautiful hilly mountains of Ternate and beach together with the local tourists.

It's a two hour drive from Muntinlupa to reach the tunnel, passing from Silang, Dasmarinas, Gen. Trias, Trece Martirez, Tanza, Naic, Maragondon, and reached Ternate on a long mountain road. It's a wide tunnel famous for selfies and stopover, a mountain road that leads to Nasugbu, Batangas, which is another hour drive away.

You'll enjoy the uphill because of the fresh air and being close to nature. If lucky, you'll be greeted by monkeys on the side of the road. Just be careful of your things and please do not feed them.
