The church looks good and unique for a church here in Philippines. The area is clean and well maintained. Parking lots are available within the vicinity. Entrance fee is collected upon entry and has a minimal parking fee. The church is good looking but the road leading to the church is rough road, not advisable for sports car or motorcycle.

Great place to visit if you want to spend time with your love ones and be close to nature and sweat yourself till you reach the two chapel on top of the hill - plus the beautiful sunset. Expect rough roads on your way through Caluega. Also, expect a fee for the entrance and parking.

Had a wonderful time during our stay at Caleruega Church in Nasugbu, Batangas, on Easter Sunday. It is an ideal place for weddings and family gatherings. You can either meditate or pray. They allow food, so you can have a picnic with your family. Bring a bottle of water with you, as you'll be sweating thoroughly while exploring the area and visiting the two chapels located on the mountaintop, but you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views and a calm and serene environment. Please note that visitors must pay an admission fee of Php 30 per person and a parking fee of Php 40 per car. The Sunday Mass in Caleruega begins at 11 a.m. If you plan on visiting, keep in mind that it closes at 5:30 p.m.

The church is small but has good ventilation. They also have a good parish priest here who delivers a memorable sermon. Given that this an old church, it would be really nice if the government can fix the roads here. Note that the stairs are too steep, and hassle for brides during their wedding march. I suggest to couples to think thrice before getting married here.

It's a very beautiful church but we didn't get the chance to enter because there's a scheduled wedding during our visit and the gate is closed. Which is quite disappointing because we travelled quite far from our hotel, not to mention the 5 minute rough road on the way to the church. 😆

The church looks great and unique for a church here in Philippines. It may be small in size but it has a unique touch of its community. The area is clean and well maintained. Parking lots are available within the vicinity. Entrance fee is collected upon entry and has a minimal parking fee. The church and the area looks great but the road leading to the church is rough road.

This place has changed so much since my last visit (2003). I don't remember it being too vhaotic outside, it was more solemn then. But I like the newer Caleruega Tent Chapel, though this is quite a hike. Totally worth it. Also managed to explore the hanging rope bridge, koi pond, etc.

Small chapel perfect for intimate ceremonies. Very popular venue choice for weddings in the Philippines. Our family used to go here when I was a kid, when the Evercrest Golf Club & Resort (now KC Hillcrest) nearby was still under construction. It was a tiny compound back then, now they grew the whole vicinity expanding their retreat centers and landscaped grounds with a hanging bridge, koi pond, Stations of the Cross, and an additional tent chapel above the hills. This chapel is quiet, serene, and has its own gate for events so as not to disturb retreat participants and visitors.

What a great place to visit! The lush green grass and trees, the Kois. The tuscan view on our way to Caleruega reminds me of Italy. What a breathtaking view! I so love it there!

They polished the landscape steps. Entrqnce fee is Php 30 and Parking fee is Php 40. Still the simple beautiful chapel on the hill.

The chapel is really cute. Good for intimate wedding ceremony. The whole place is really big, well maintained and lots of hidden gems that you have to discover.

My best sanctuary ever! It is now again open to the public, still with reasonable fees for entrance and parking. There have been improvements since the last time i came. Nothing beats the serenity and tranquility it gives you. Just do not pick plants or flowers from the area and leave garbages. Let then place as it is. Respect and care of the place are expected from all visitors.

Caleruega has a breathtaking views. A breath of fresh air and have its church inside. A long walk and picnic places. I enjoyed going here. Recommended place. ❤️

  • 4/5 Catherine Jane E. N. 7 months ago on Google
The church is quaint and the atmosphere is serene. We went there during the weekend so there are lots of people visiting as well. The road going to the chapel is a bit challenging; expect rough and unpaved roads, but still manageable all in all. Prepare for a challenging parking as well, but there are helpful kuyas and guards in there. Expect a lot of walking if you'll be parking downhill.

A very peaceful place. Nature lovers would definitely enjoy this place. Rocky/bumpy road before you reach this wonderful place tho, but it'll be all worth the drive.

Awesome place. The church is airconditioned so no problem this coming summer. The reception area is so huge that it could accommodate hundreds of people. Parking is abundant. The place is just divine.

There are lots to see in caleruega, ull get to see stations of the cross, a hanging bridge along the way or climb the only-for-strong stairway going to the transfiguration chapel; or see the tent chapel of the transfiguration at the far end of trek. Take the main gate if u intent to visit all the sites. U can spend all morning visiting all the sites. This is the long route But If u intend just to see the transfiguration chapel. Stop by the side gate by the road. Few blocks before the entrace. Take few step and ull be by the transfiguration chapel. This will save u all the trouble of elbowing ur way and climbing the loooong stair cases leading to the transfiguration chapel. Close to nature and closer to God is the theme of the site. Take time to pray and have all the time in the world to take pictures. Entrance fee is P30.00

Serene but might get a little too crowded soon if no. of visitors at a time is not regulated. There's a flight of stairs at the back side of the church where you can hike up and down and enjoy the view of mountains and trees.

  • 4/5 Maria E. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful setting of the church on top of the mountain. Preserved nature. Good place to meditate. Cool and fresh air. Only bad side is the road not well paved going to the church. Hoping that the entrance fee per person and the parking fee would help pave the road. When it rain the road would be muddy and hard to drive on. Very good venue for weddings. Along the road one can but fresh produce which are very inexpensive.

Is a really nice place, full of nature, it's perfect just to go and explore, walk and keep walking. It's very peaceful, you will definitely love it! Either you go alone or with friends/family you will have an amazing time 💛

Good scenery and very environment-friendly. It has a park and a hanging bridge in the vicinity. The station of the cross on the top of the hill can be tiring for some but it'll be worth it. The road going to the chapel is not that developed though so be careful.

A beautiful place of worship! The historic feel is magnified by the peaceful surroundings, the silence within, and nature's beauty all around. If you're in Tagaytay, it's a nice tourist places to take a picture and feel the calm environment 🙏🏽

  • 4/5 Kit P. 9 months ago on Google
Still a beautiful place and the dream wedding church. Some areas are now closed because there are retreats. Entrance is now through the stairs going directly to the church. The chapel below is closed but the chapel at the hanging bridge area now have stairs. There are stairs directly going up and down the hanging bridge area which was not existent before. The road going there is still super bumpy and still not fixed with asphalt or cement due to politics in the area. There are still tricycles that can take and fetch you there for Php40 per head. There is an entrance fee of Php30 per head.

Very beautiful little church up in the mountains where a cool wind blows. The garden is well maintained and everything is well maintained. the view is magnificent.light several candles for our parents. too bad the road is so bad.

[30APR23] Small church. Church on a hill. Road lrading to it is a bit rocky. The garden infront of the church is also good. The place is also great at night. Attended a wedding here, it was nice. Being a small church, the aisle walk is short and the space outside the church is just enough for small entourage. This is not your church if you have a very big crowd and looking for a long aisle walk. Has nice restroom too.

Still a solemn place to go to, and you'll feel closer to nature. I just wish they would update their facilities such as the metal stairs because they were rusty and creaking.

Highly recommended place to visit in Tagaytay. A hidden gem, famous for wedding ceremonies as the place is very huge. 2 chapels inside the vast church grounds. Hiking to the 2nd chapel where the Black Nazarene is located has a difficulty of 6 - 7. Approximately 15mins of hiking step trails with hanging a bridge (one way). 30 pesos entry fee for maintenance of the church grounds.

Caleruega Church offers a serene escape, seamlessly intertwining spirituality with the beauty of nature. The presence of a koi pond and a picturesque bridge adds a touch of tranquility. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the Stations of the Cross trail that winds up the hill. The effort is rewarded not only with breathtaking views but also a sense of spiritual fulfillment. The overall ambience resonates with the church's theme, close to nature, closer to God. The seamless integration of the natural surroundings amplifies the sacred atmosphere, making each visit a holistic and reflective experience. However, the rough road going to the church is a minor inconvenience, it's a factor to consider for those planning a visit.

So quiet. My second most favorite meditation place. You can get lost within its sprawling gardens and chapels.

Went here on a weekend on a very rainy bad weather so we were not able to roam around that much, too bad. But definitely coming back Location - around 10-15mins. Drive from the highway. Expect rough road up to the site, passable by small cars just drive slowly with care Place - very solemn, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. You have to pay a fixed entrance fee tho and no discount for senior citizens. Just before you go up the church, there are vendors selling fruits that are somewhat overpriced Parking - tends to be full on weekends. Becomes muddy when raining. Church - its a chapel that can fit small number of people perfect for intimate weddings

The chapel is breathtaking. It's a hard and long climb on the stairs but the end is very gorgeous. Very nice view of the surrounding landscape. Nice garden there, too. The stained glass art inside the chapel is very beautiful. Recommended for weddings, holy week visitations, christening, and other church activities. A great place to visit when you're in the area.
