Somehow I found out that they have on their menu my favorite middle eastern breakfast - Shaksouka. I was not disappointed. This time, we came back for lunch and we had Braised Australian lamb shank. The meat was so soft and flavorful, served with saffron herb risotto and a fancy roasted garlic. Additionally, we also ordered Grilled Prawns with angel hair pasta combined with Arugula and it was perfect. Dining was Al Fresco which is just great with the Cliffhouse view. Verdict - 4 spoons out of 5.

The food is awesome in taste and quality. Plating is superb. Small serving for the price. Expensive but it is a great experience.

We arrived at peak time. Lots of customers were being served. However, the service was fast. Their steak is very worth its price. It is best to call them for reservation as this is a very popular dining spot. We were lucky a table was free when we did walk-in. They only open at lunch and dinner time.

I never order steak unless I know or a good friend recommends it. Too many fake claims of Wagyu, Angus and the like. The steak at Fire Lake grill is real and delicious. Skip the Angus and go for the tenderloin instead, a bit more expensive but worth it. The waitress was attentive and I appreciate that Chef Huang even came out twice to check and chat. Why don't Pinoy chefs make it a point to come out. Even the Chefs at Chelle/Vask and Toyo were timid. I'm very particular that steak should not be overcooked, and the cook cooked it right. The waitress ventured to offer us a wine off the wine list but more expensive. She said her boss just brought it over. We took the gamble and lo and behold. Despite the price P3500, and in a restaurant no less, it was very well worth it. We took home what as left in the bottle and checked it in Vivino and lo and behold it is rated at the top 2% in the world. So fear not, the steak, fries and dessert are delicious. The only downside - the ambiance. None really. How I wish it could just approach Antonio's, to make it really date-worthy.

My friend/business partner who was visiting from overseas wanted to have a nice steak lunch/dinner before he flies back home over the weekend. So I tried to look for a nice place online and found this restaurant. My friend, like myself are simple dressing men. We both do not like dressing up if we can help it, especially dressing up for casual dinning. So I went to chat with this resto on their FB page and asked them before booking if shorts and sandals are ok . The guy on the other end of the chat did not respond so I proceeded to book the reservation. But just to be sure I asked again if shorts and sandals are ok. I didn't get a reply so I assumed it was fine. The next day I got a very cold and a bordering-on-rude response asking..."Smart casual ba yan?". I I was pretty sure that my friend did not have any "smart casual" attire with him so I politely said on the chat to "please cancel the reservation" to which I received what seemed like a very relieved and very enthusiastic...Sure!...complete with exclamation point. This was enough I thought to myself and finally lost my patience. I had to call the other guy on the chat something that would be inappropriate to post here. But as far as I'm concerned my response to his rudeness was very much appropriate to describe his chat etiquette at that time. I don't know who I was talking to in that chat but if it was a staff, then that staff needs to be trained on how to respond to chat appropriately. If it was the resto manager or worst the owner, then I guess this restaurant has grown too big or at least it thinks has, that it does not hesitate to drive away customers. I guess they think they can afford to lose a customer or two. Funny though, my friend and I have never had any problems dinning casual or even fine dining with shorts and sandals in places we've dined outside the Philippines. Mason de France in KL didn't have a problem with me wearing shorts and sandals while other in the resto were wearing suits. I guess they were more interested with my business than my fashion sense. In any case, I'm not recommending this resto to anyone. We've found a nicer place in Pasay that didn't have a problem with us wearing shorts and sandals.

The place was not packed and busy when we arrived but we still had our reservations taken just in case. The soup and pasta were delicious but I personally did not like the cheesecake. Parking will be free as long as you have the restaurant validate your ticket. The staff were accommodating. They did not give us a receipt though, and we forgot to ask. Might be a good mental note next time.

Their steak is great... it's pricey but worth it. Aside from the fact the the owner/chef Paul took time to entertain his guests.. 😊 that's all it takes for their customers to keep coming back.. and we'll definitely do.

Great food, amazing service. Our party had locals and tourists and all were treated equally well. After eating the chef/owner came out to talk with us, a very nice touch. The food was flavorful and had large portions. Very impressed.

My family dined at Fire Lake Grill for the first time this weekend. The restaurant receives great reviews online and high honors on Travelocity. In our opinion, it did not disappoint. The place sits on a convenient location, tucked into a corner lot with a stunning view of Taal. Our real five star experience began with the brilliant service provided by head waiter, Gilbert. His ability to balance attentiveness with unobtrusiveness throughout our meal is of comparable quality with professional waitstaff in Michelin star New York City spots. He expertly guided us through the Grill’s extensive menu. All of his suggestions were delicious and he made sure every last one of our requests was attended to exactly. I started with the highly recommended smoked prawn salad. Its dramatic presentation, freshness and balance made this a gorgeous, world class dish. My entree was grilled salmon with steamed veggies and couscous. The fish was very good especially when combined with the lovely couscous medley. Everyone in our party enjoyed their first meal at Fire Lake Grill and will no doubt be back on their own. It’s really a great spot to bring friends or loved ones you’d like to impress.

Foods were delicious. Perfect place for a romabtic date with your loveone. I rated 4stars because it was dark when we came and haven't had the chance to see the view. We'll come back.

Great steaks and good service. Price is on the high side though so expect to spend a lot. Tue lime infused panacotta was also delicious!!!

Excellent food, service and view at Fire Lake Grill Tagaytay. We ordered the Blackened Beef Salad with Grilled Pork Loin served with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The house made barbeque sauce complimented the grilled pork very well. The beef served with the salad was tender and flavorful. Beautiful setting overlooking Ta'al Lake. Will definitely return to try their steak.

The GOOD 1. Friendly staff 2. Easy to book 3. Good pumpkin soup , salad with raspberry vinaigrette and panacotta. The BAD 1. One of the worst ribeye steak I had. Seems like they forgot to remove the plastic when they grilled it, so the taste blended with the steak. Steak cut is too thin.

Beautiful view, excellent food. Highly recommended for your next date night. There should put better sides on their steak though. The ribeye was excellent with the foie gras. Must try their ahi tuna salad and the dessert.

Staff very friendly and attentive especially since it wasn’t peak hours. Still very good! Salmon and grilled prawns were great! Definitely would come back! Good plating and good food. The ribeye 220g steak was tender with just the right seasoning and the roasted garlic mashed potato was divine! Ambience is nicer dinner time apparently. Just note it can be pricey if ordered as a family.

Place has good ambience and good food, service tho is a hit and miss 1 of the waiter was rude on the 2nd time we visited. Took away some plates that still has some food on it without asking and served food without telling which order was being served

Very much disappointing order on the menu. Had the “Halibut” sous vide for my entree. Very nice presentation with a crunchy crust BUT the so called Halibut was that of another type of fish (texture and flavor definitely not halibut which I have had on numerous occasion). I’m not certain if the waiter, who I queried, even knew what halibut is. Diners beware. 2 stars mainly for the ambience with service being adequate.
