Cecilia’s
Kitchen
is
now
a
small
part
of
the
complex,
and
just
a
takeout
counter.
The
building
is
mostly
Diner’s
Original
Bulalo
now,
because
I
think
of
the
demand
in
the
area,
especially
during
the
weekends
when
it
feels
like
the
whole
Metro
Manila
goes
up
to
Tagaytay.
We
were
supposed
to
dine
in
the
other
branch
of
Diner’s
near
the
intersection,
but
the
place
was
full
so
we
tried
this
branch
just
a
few
meters
away.
Parking
wasn’t
difficult
because
people
come
and
go.
Covid-19
protocals
were
in
place.
The
overall
ambience
wasn’t
too
appealing.
Maybe
because
of
the
lighting
that
seemed
ill-suited
for
the
place
(it
was
rather
dim,
like
trying
hard
to
have
the
Balay
Dako
ambience
at
night).
I
would
have
appreciated
brighter
yellow
lamps
or
spot
lights
than
the
sad
chandeliers
that
didn’t
match
the
building’s
interiors.
The
menu
is
pretty
straightforward,
usual
Filipino
food
choices
of
beef,
pork,
chicken,
seafood
and
vegetables.
In
front
it
says:
“Masarap
Lahat”.
Of
course
we
ordered
the
original
bulalo.
Soup
was
good,
with
generous
servings
of
meat
and
bone
marrow.
Soup’s
refillable.
Order
didn’t
take
too
long,
and
the
wait
staff
got
everything
we
requested.
Overall,
good
enough
to
satisfy
hungry
Tagaytay
road
trippers.
