Rooms is good as needed, old but well-maintained, view of the taal lake is amazing. The employees are all very kind and approachable, it makes your experience better. Breakfast and the pizza in the veranda is quite good. Location is top-notch. I wish that the bar/restaurant outside lasted for longer though because they apparently close at 9:30 pm already

Taal Vista definitely was able to maintain prestige over the years. The property is well-maintained. We had some teambuilding activity here and the coordinator, Peter is rather not as friendly over the phone when we were requesting some changes in room set-up and other activity set-up. But in person at least he was fine, it could have been better if it was consistent though. Food taste good but the refill for the buffet was rather slow. They were not mindful of how the lunch service was going and there were no waiters in sight. Also as I know in the past the bakery has best tasting pastries, however the fruitcake I bought was such a let down. It was extremely dry and crumbly... so don't waste money on it. Maybe they changed the baker and so the quality of products suffered.

Rooms are okay, getting old but still okay for me. They need to replace some silicone on their fixtures in their toilets to make toilet look cleaner. Staff could be better at cleaning the sides and corners of the room. Location is still very good and relaxing.

The hotel has beautiful views. We stayed in rooms facing the lake and it was gorgeous. The place is old but in good working condition. The rooms aren't fancy but well built, clean and spacious. It rains a lot in Tagaytay so this is a great place to stay if you don't want to leave your accommodation.

Stayed here with my family to relax. The lake view room was fantastic with the view of the Taal volcano and the garden as well. The room itself was big and clean. Love the quick access to/from Sky Ranch and was able to buy tickets at the reception which was convenient. The free breakfast buffet was great with roaming band that serenaded everyone. Overall, a great hotel with reasonable price.

Taal Vista Hotel is like getaway from all the distraction of the busy world. It's recommended for company team building to unwind and gather all your lost energy. It's not the newest but the purest when it comes to calming view of Taal Lakes. It's services is fine . Try it also to believe.

The lunch buffet was great. Hot, fresh, high quality. Got to say, world class. Price was fair. Also the coffee shop, cappuccino was perfect and the dessert again very close to world class. Will come again with family who are visiting us soon from Switzerland.

Unfortunately my family and I didn’t stay here, but we can definitely say their breakfast buffet was beyond delicious. They had the pastries and traditional Filipino breakfast foods that we have been craving. The tsokolate that they served us was even more delicious that I could have imagined. We also appreciate the staff for their courtesy and their attentiveness. Martin was extremely attentive and always seemed to know what we needed before we could say it.

We had our Pru Life UK Training here on June 3 to 4, 2023 and the service is superb. The food is very delicious. I can't say anything bad about it. The servers are very kind and hospitable. The place is very clean and comfy. Super love our stay there💜💜💜

This hotel is so beautiful, clean and very comfortable to stay with because of the perfect ambiance of the events lounge. The hotel location is very perfect and eye catchy where you can relax and ease your stress. The staff were all friendly, patient and accommodating. The food in the hotel is very delicious but it's pricey and that would be okay. Room service was prompt and excellent. To sum it up, to everyone who is looking for a good hotel where you can be well-rested and enjoy to stay and unwind ,this hotel is a perfect option for you.

The view is spectacular everything we saw was perfect. Hospitality was fantastic. A simple greeting with accomodating attitude of the staff and crew gave us a warm welcome of their place. Perfect view of Taal volcano. We also had a very memorable breakfast. Since it is the oldest hotel in Tagaytay the rooms are kinda old but above all the experience was amazing

You get what you paid for. Quality service and food, very spacious and nice facilities. Unfortunately i had an accident and broke my arm before we check out and I am glad that we are in this hotel as they have facilities for 1st aid, clinic, nurse and even brought me to the ER in the nearest private hospital. My family enjoyed our stay except for the unfortunate accident. We hope to be back soon.

Had a snack and the Veranda Cafe has the best interior. Very bright and relaxing. Not crowded at 4 pm on a Saturday, A cup of coffee and glass walls overlooking Taal lake is the best experience.

The Taal Vista Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it's a memorable experience. Therefore, Taal Vista Hotel is without a doubt the place to be if you're looking for a getaway from the rush and bustle of city life, somewhere where the beauty of nature meets exceptional hospitality. We reserved two rooms with views, and they didn't let us down. The view was breathtaking day and night. During our visit, the facility was lovely and the rooms were clean. When checking out, Jonard and Carmela at the front desk helped us. wherever there are kind workers. Excellent cuisine is also provided. Definitely returning the following time!

Hi after seeing all 5 star comments, we spent few days at the hotel. I give the place a max of 3 stars. Reasons>> maintenance needs to improve on all levels from public places to lifts to rooms. Breakfast buffet was an typical rush to have as much on the plate as possible, disregarding other guests and noisy as in an SM food court. Pool was good for the Mountain View rooms but way to far from the main building. Recreation / game room was with old broken games, no pool balls, no staffs. Fitness had no staffs, children playing on the equipment. Lunch menu was good, similar to outside but pricey. Meals are continuously disturbed by a small band, trying to provide serenades when not needed. Rooms when properly maintained would be well priced, however SMIC should think of splitting family and upscale guests who like to sit in a more relaxed VIP sitting.

Stayed in the Lake Wing, top floor. It was the most beautiful view of the volcano that I've ever experienced. The room was nicer than any other 4-star hotel I've stayed at in the United States. I loved the large window and balcony. The grounds and decorations for Christmas time were also very wonderful. The visuals everywhere I looked made me feel a flutter of excitement in my heart for the holiday season. So many photo ops!!! Breakfast was delicious and the live music table to table made it extra special.

2 years ago May 2019, My Achi and I spent our weekend overnight here in Taal Vista. Coming back here are after so many years made me feel like I'm that kid again who spends half of the day every other weekend to play around and enjoy the beauty of nature. Should you need to take a break for a moment, visit this place and appreciate the beautiful scenery. one of the perfect places to relax and have fun.

Second oldest hotel in the Philippines. The place has a very good view overlooking taal lake. Rooms are clean and spacious. Restaurant is comparable to most hotels but choices are a bit limited. The place is very accessible to different tourist location in the area. A place worth visiting and staying.

Highly recommended My family has been visiting this place since the before. Love this hotel. I’m glad they’ve kept it well maintained. Everything is 1st class. Our room was very nice and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. Also their halo halo is the best. Best of all, the view of Taal Lake from the garden is breath taking.

    1) service at reception: We already did an online check-in. As per the online check-in instructions, all we needed to do was to show the record to the reception. Also during the online check-in, the service already asked for a photo of our ID. And the photo of the id was included in the online check-in confirmation. During check-in, the receptionist acknowledged the online check-in. However she still asked for the id. She still photocopied it. And the whole process still took as long as a regular non-online check-in . If that's the case, then why bother offering an online check-in in the first place? 2) room : we were billeted in the ridge rooms. Room was nice. However we could not use the balcony because the place reeked of cigarette smoke. You should allocate resources to patrol the ridge area for smokers. 3) room: we paid for 3 adults. Yet you only provided 2 dental kits. Note: Yes, I know they can fix this with a simple call/complaint to concierge or reception. But come on now, these are things that should not have required a simple call you concierge/reception.

Good hotel. Great service and people. Experience faded as all 3 restaurants in hotel serve bad quality food. Just bad cheap food at prices that premium restaurants in area don’t even charge. So. Overall not worth a room price to me.

So many places to stay in Tagaytay, but this hotel stood out. One of the best hotels I stayed and will surely come back. Thank you Taal Vista for the genuine and exemplary service. You made the difference.

The rooms were pretty standard for 3-4 star hotels you'll be comfortable and relaxed but not awed to be 5 star. Service took some time. If you order a food, it would take 40minutes to reach your room. Maybe the distance of rooms to lobby is a factor as well as you need to walk long distances to reach events areas. Some rooms are not senior friendly although they offer wheel chair, but there are some slopes that you might want to be careful. Location of course one of the best, as you have a view of Taal Lake while you take your breakfast or sit down on their lobby. Although what I didn't like personally was when I remove my fask, I can smell a foul odor on their chairs with foam near the bar area.

Kudos to the exceptional customer service! Staff are very attentive and courteous. Food buffet selections are not so many though but it’s okay as it was all carried out by the courtesy of all the staff. Will gladly be back.

Taal Vista was the cherry on top of our last vacation in the Philippines. We booked two rooms with a view and it didn’t disappoint. The view day and night was sublime. The rooms were clean and everything in the facility during our stay was beautiful. Jonard and Carmela from front desk assisted us upon check. Gracious workers everywhere. The food is excellent as well. Will definitely be back next time!

Taal Vista Hotel – if you are looking for a place to stay that is near Sky Ranch then you should consider this place. The GOOD: • Big open parking area • Accessible even to lowered cars. Not like the ramps of the other hotels nearby. • Bigger than your usual hotel in Tagaytay. The BAD: • Breakfast is just okay.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Taal Vista Hotel for the fourth time, and once again, it proved to be our favorite retreat away from the bustling city. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service from the accommodating staff, making us feel right at home. Kudos to Shai for being very accomodating to all my concerns. The food, without a doubt, deserves an impressive 11 out of 10 rating! We particularly enjoyed lunch at Taza, where we were treated to a feast for the senses. The Taza salad stood out with its originality, becoming a must-have whenever we visit. Hanger steak and Mushroom soup is our favorite! The hotel itself exudes a cozy ambiance that invites relaxation and tranquility. The rooms were spotlessly clean, It was heartwarming to find a warm anniversary welcome awaiting us, complete with Tudor the bear and a thoughtful greeting card—a small gesture that added a touch of warmth and personalization to our stay. One of the highlights for our family was the deck view, where kids spent endless hours playing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The hotel’s location provides a perfect vantage point, allowing guests to soak in the breathtaking taal view while the little ones engage in joyful exploration. Taal Vista Hotel continues to captivate us with its exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and cozy atmosphere. It’s a place we eagerly return to time and time again, knowing that every visit will be nothing short of extraordinary. We highly recommend this remarkable hotel for a truly memorable experience away from the city. -Rae

I set my engagement proposal in this hotel, The staffs are very accommodating and very attentive into the details of plan. I got a Yes! with their help. The room is big, amenities and food are great. Just have a quite problem with the booking reservation. I booked using booking.com for 3 rooms but the one room tagged as confirmed, so I need to book on the same day, with much higher room rates. Good thing there's still available rooms for my friends. But overall, the experience is great! Will definitely be back soon!

A great hotel to unwind especially with the view of not only the Taal lake and volcano but also Laurel Batangas. The rooms are clean and common areas are also well maintained. The staff are very friendly and attentive and any request to a room is quickly fulfilled. The food is quite nice as well, but there are other options in the neighbouring Sky Ranch if you prefer something else to eat. The entrance fee to said amusement park is 100 per head. I recommend this hotel for a holiday stay, especially the rooms facing the lake view.

Great Location Awesome Service by every staff View of a lifetime Great Location Rooms are bit dated but big. House keeping department needs to get details as they missed toilet paper but as soon as informed they came very fast Must stay for service and views Roy and Anthony at the evening outside restaurant were superb in service

The hotel is superb the view room is perfect worth the price but the included breakfast buffet is disappointing. The limited food options is one thing. The bacon isn’t crispy, the tocino is too sweet. I hope they can add more food options in the breakfast and improve the taste. The room service was pretty good last night

  • 5/5 Roger A. 6 months ago on Google
Rooms are spacious however, some are not well-maintained. Rooms are equipped with appliances like tv, fridge, water heater etc. The air-conditioning unit is working well in our room. The view is great, it is overlooking Taal Lake. Aside from all the amenities, the food is great! Must try the bacon and hot chocolate.

For a change of ambiance, a bit cold at night so grab your jacket before hitting this place. Food is good, price is a bit high, but this is a hotel so expect premium prices, the outdoor resto bar has live gigs i suppose on weekend , but closes at 930pm...

We booked a two-night stay to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We got the premier room at the lake wing, we had an amazing view of the majestic volcano but sadly, the good ends there. The rest weren’t justified the 13k down to 9k/night after all the promos and discounts I asked to apply in the final bill, kudos to the front desk staff for going the extra mile to work with. The room is not too spacious and no carpet for the price I paid, it’s old but still in functional, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, the shower curtain in the tub was ‘mapanghi’ and the sliding door for the bathroom was a bad idea and a safety concern for the little ones. Breakfast was pretty basic with the exception of the coffee. Front staff were great, but too much security guards, please reroute your money in other areas instead of security guards. Should I recommend this place? For 9+k, maybe not. I have stayed at a much better hotel in Subic for less. And Tagaytay as a whole doesn’t live up to the hype, it doesn’t feel or smell like Baguio, but it’s quiet and calming as it wasn’t too busy and crowded as Baguio.

Stayed here for 3 days and it was amazing. We had a room in the Lake Wing which faces Taal Lake. Breakfast buffet is decent. There is also a pool but we didn’t try it because it was cold and the pool isn’t heated. Convenient location too. Walking distance to restaurants and Skyranch. One of - if not the best - hotels with view of Taal.

We stayed here for 2 nights (Dec.30 to Jan.01 2023) .Viewed is amazing in our room with Taal Lake view. Breakfast is always good, staff are very helpful and always smiling. For me this is definitely a 5 stars in all aspects. We definitely come back in this hotel.

Great place for staycation. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean. The complementary breakfast is also very good. The view deck has a very nice view of Taal lake.

The location was really good. It was overlooking Lake Taal, and they provided an ample outdoor space planted with grass, and a paved area where dining tables were placed that you can sit while gazing at the lake. The buildings were quite old, but they are well-maintained and clean. Spacious receiving hall and resto. Good parking spaces also, and the hotel crew are accommodating.

We had one of the worst experience here in this hotel. Me and my girlfriend dined at their restaurant and we were ignored by the waiters all throughout our stay. I dont know if they were judging us and thought that we were just there to take some pictures. We needed to stand up and go to the bar to make our orders. This will definiteley be the last time we visit this place.

  • 4/5 Mara R. 2 years ago on Google
Good service, cozy beds. Bathtub slopes too much for it to be part of a shower, might cause slipping. The food at the resto was not so good.

Nice view but the food in the buffet is not so nice. Could have been better if the food is kept warm. I would love to visit again soon and dip in the swimming pool.

Had a perfectly wonderful stay. Bought my Klook voucher and booked via their website. Response was prompt and booking was immediately confirmed. Spent the weekend with warm and heartfelt sincerity from the staff who also prepared a personalized dedication and greetings collection from their staff, for my parent's anniversary. Pre-ordered meals upon my booking, and it was promptly prepared upon arrival (bte, i love the veranda meals - picnic package and mixed grill plus)... Although elevator was too slow, other than the hotel and room amenities are great... I would like to commend maireen, marlon, bernadette (veranda), danny(facilities), merven(housekeeping)... Customer service at its best...

Parking is spacious. If you dine in. The parking is free. But there's a parking fee of ₱100 if you just park there. One of the landmark hotel in Tagaytay. A nice view of Taal volcano 🌋 & lake

  • 3/5 Awkward B. 2 years ago on Google
Nice views. Bad service. For what we paid, the least the hotel could do was supply us with towels that aren't several years old. It's quite shocking that this is the standard of quality that the Taal Vista deems acceptable. The restaurant service is extremely slow and my food was middling at best. I had to send back my oxtail back because there was virtually no meat in the dish. Fortunately the restaurant manager sorted it out and I opted for the pork tomahawk instead, which was supurb. It could be a very good hotel, but it falls short on the small and big details.

We were disappointed to discover that the quality of service was much less than we expected. We paid for three people and were only afford amenities for two. The staff was slow to correct the error and the facility appears to need renovation and attention to detail.

Hi, we spent our holy week vacation at Taal Vista from Apr 14 to 16, 2022, we booked 6 rooms. Employees are very accommodating. Special mention to the one who assisted me in the check-in counter… forgot to take note of her name…maybe the supervisor can check on it for proper commendation 👏 As for the rooms, we were booked in a “No Smoking” area…however, we still smell cigarettes smoke along the hallway. Suggest that stricter implementation be done. One of us bought mango cake in the Taal Vista bakery on Saturday, Apr 16. Today April 17, when they are about to eat it, the cake is already spoiled, they saw two white molds. Got the shots of the molds, i can forward them in your private inbox for your reference. Just wondering if there are any reimbursement for this. All in all, the hotel is worth the stay despite the fact that it is more than 20 years. Suggestion is you can add more in door facilities like bowling… more game rooms and kids rooms. Thank you 😍

This is my kid's favourite place in Tagaytay. It has all the fun stuffs in her checklist: swimming pool, kids' club, a hammock and a hill to roll onto 😊 we also enjoyed the band while dining with the perfect view of Taal. Food is great too! And the crew and staff render good excellent service. We all love Tagaytay Vista Hotel.

I have booked for my son first week of March since i am still having fears of travelling. He did enjoyed his stay and even told me that he’ll surely come back. Unfortunately, Ms. Camille, who used to assist us in all of our stays, was not on duty during that time. but we are still thankful for every assistance she is giving to us. She even checks up on us if everything is fine in the room and if we’ll be needing anything. And that what my son appreciates about her because she still ensured that their stay will be as great as before even if she’s not around. She is really the best staff we’ve ever met at the hotel. From making a booking and to all our requests, she didn’t fail us even in some last minute arrangements. She simply shows how guests shall be welcomed by reassuring that we will have one of the best stays even if we keep on coming back. Our family would love to stay again in the hotel and hopefully Ms. Camille will be the one to assist us again and again. 😃 by the way, special thanks to Skyller of front desk too who assisted my son during their check in. He is kind and helpful as well. We’ll definitely be back!! Stay safe everyone! 😃

We stayed there for our wedding anniversary with whole family. The whole experience was excellent for me. Booking was so easy and I never have to pay in advance to reserve the room. It was easy checking in because I already checked in through their website. All the staff are so friendly and always greet you whenever they see you. The room is nice, very clean and spacious. There are plenty of food to choose at their breakfast buffet. I also like the fast and easy checking out I did not wait long. I will definitely come back to this place and highly recommend to everyone to stay here when you want to go to tagaytay.

Taal Vista is still a good hotel to stay in. It has a great view of Taal lake that can best other nearby hotels. The only concern I had when I was there was the lack of staff. There was less than adequate number of staff, such that when plates and dinner ware were supposed to be retrieved after a meal segment, it took a very long time for the staff to get them and fix the tables.

Went here for a 1-day seminar so I didn't get to usr the hotel rooms. Good service. They let me use the VIP Lounge near the ballroom as Lactation Room. Good food, too. And the view - perfect.

Staff are very courteous and polite. We are currently staying as I was typing this review (11/26-12/1). Great food but the service is not as quick, we ordered the buko halo halo and took almost an hour to arrive. We tried the in room dinning but no one wants to pick up the phone..dining, front desk even the operator so I have to come down to the front desk and see if they are still in operation and as soon as I talked to someone there I was able to get some results.

Attentive and courteous staff. The room I stayed in at the mountain wing is clean, but really needs a facelift/overhaul. It looks very dated and lacks in amenities for its rate. The water heater also gave me a lukewarm shower. The dinner buffet is too pricey for the number of choices available and the taste, which is so ordinary in my opinion.

My family has been visiting this place since the 1970s. Love this hotel. I’m glad they’ve kept it well maintained. Everything is 1st class. Our room was very nice and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. Also their halo halo is the best. Best of all, the view of Taal Lake from the garden is breath taking.

Hotel was very easy to find and get to. Parking was spacious, easily accessible, disabled & wheelchair-friendly. Check-in took a while after we arrived, but it wasn't much of an issue for us. Our room was on the 4th floor and facing the road (lake view is better but this side was still very nice). Clean, no unusual smells, everything you need was there and in good working condition. Price-wise, not as expensive as many 5-star hotels, especially considering the buffet breakfast. The wide and well-kept garden offered an amazing view of the lake and volcano. 9 out of 10. Will come back and stay longer if we get the chance.
