The place was a bit cozy but old fashioned. We liked the stay and appreciated the assistance of the crews.. hope they will improve and do some renovations of the rooms and have them well maintained for a better living experience.

One of the most relaxing place to stay in Tagaytay specially if you are preparing for a big day or an event. Every floor level has it own spacious lobby wherein some of the guests and suppliers may stay and use during the preparations, and it's unusual among hotels particularly in Tagaytay. Attendants and staffs are accommodating and friendly as well.. My regrets that I'm too busy to take pictures, looking forward to have some when I go back there..

Love this place. Lobby is elegant and huge. Staff are nice and friendly. I love the heated pool. The spa and massage is good. The room is nice and clean with complete facilities. I just dont like the view we had in our room (3rd flr). We barely see a view from the outside because of the blocking walls and aircons. Room and beds are quite small compared with other hotels with same price but they have mini ref, hair dryer, coffe maker and everything you need. Buffet breakfast is great too! Location is very accessible from the highway and with the huge facade it's so easy to find and a lot of restos nearby. Reynaldo's smokehouse is just across and Petron convenience store. They have welcome drinks and gift for us too. 😊 They charge us for my kid though for additional linen and food. Unlike other hotels that wont charge you if the kid is sharing bed with parent, they would only charge you for the food (some even dont).

Our stay was pleasant. The rooms were clean, and spacious. Staff were nice and helpful. Food and coffee at breakfast were excellent. The only negative- they only allot 45 minutes for you to eat your breakfast☹️ It was stressful, esp when you are supposed to be relaxing and enjoying the start of your day... Hope they do away with this policy. First time I encountered this, and I have traveled far and wide.

I booked on agoda and checked in. The place looks like a classic old place that has been providing quality service for decades. The service was top tier. I wanted cancel bc I found out late the location wasn’t ideal for me. The staff gave me a full refund without any hassle. Customer service is 10/10. Classy place

The hotel is quite nice with ample parking, a clean, spacious lobby, the breakfast is decent —if you need to have something heavy to start off your day. I really liked that they had whole-wheat bread options and their unli coffee was good. I would recommend however, that they stock Stevia or Splenda instead of Equal for their guests who don’t or can’t take sugar. Their egg station was very good and made up for the food which wasn’t superb. Our room didn’t have a view which wasn’t important since the hotel’s location is very convenient, but what I did like was that the staff was very accommodating and helpful. I liked the way they fixed the bed. WiFi was strong and easy to connect to! *One thing though, they provide laundry hampers in the bathroom, but should not replace the towels if they’re not in the hamper. We were surprised to find new towels when we thought that like other hotels, they’d save water by only washing towels put in the hamper. This is not a big deal, but might be more environmentally friendly in the future. A win win for both the hotel and the guests in the long run!

I attended a seminar at Hotel Monticello, and I was pleasantly surprised by the seminar-friendly ambiance. The venue was well-suited for such events, providing a conducive atmosphere for learning and networking. One of the highlights was their generous servings of delicious food. The portions were substantial, and the taste exceeded my expectations, making the overall seminar experience even more enjoyable.

We spent two nights here on Family bonding and I must say everything was excellent. The staff was great. The receptionists were very helpful and answered all our questions. The room was clean and neat, and the room service was always on time.

First the ambience in the lobby was good, nice lobby decor and clean. Check -in was great, everything we need was accommodated. However more issues that happened during our stay, we occupied 2 rooms since were 9 of us. So in room 303, the issue was the toilet not working properly plushies issues, attendant come -in, tried to fix the problem, few minutes later, I place my shoulder bag in the counter near the complimentary water bottle, and coffee machine. Not knowing that there’s bags, (aunts and cockroaches). So I call the front desk to tell them that they have bags around the counter, attends come -in with the Raid cans in his hands, spray around the counter and open the drawer where the coffee and creamer was stored, more aunts and cockroaches inside of the drawers, he sprayed them and wipe the area after. The next day I have bags bites in my arm, not happy about that, went to used the toilet won’t plush, call the attends again, he tried to fix it this time it working. Breakfast was good lots of choices and the staff was friendly everything was good. But I was not happy that I have bags bites. So I went to the front desk and see if I can talk to the manager, she said manager will be here at 9 am. I said okay. After my breakfast I pass through the front desk again, manager are in. But busy at that time, so I decided to used the restroom, first door I open toilet seat has bags, I was surprise with all of the bags I encountered in this hotel. Manager Raffy Binay tried to move us to different room during our conversation, I said they should offer that last night when I told them about the bags in our room. I show him my bags bites, his response was maybe It’s allergies, I said no looked at my other arm. I don’t have it on my right arms, told him that I have video the bags around the counter and walls. So he want to see it too. He come -in to our room and see more aunts on the drawer. Very disappointed, poor handling with issues.

While the rooms are a bit run down and the frosted glass covering the shower would probably be an issue if you were staying with colleagues or relatives, we absolutely loved our short stay. The staff were very professional, kind, and accommodating. The hot shower was a treat, AC nice and cold, and the king sized bed was nice and firm. We also loved the pool, perfect for morning laps, and the breakfast buffet was satisfying. Overall, we found the place a welcome treat for its price point.

Very poor room quality: Room was stuffy and dusty. The shower head was loosely installed. It fell to the floor when I was taking a bath. Poor room service: Room service is not 24 hrs. Youll need to wait the next day if you dont make the cut off. They also dont clean your rooms automatically. We asked for extra towels, did 3 follow ups but didnt receive any. Lastly, requests for extra bottled water did not come free. Checkout took forever: So at the start of our stay, they asked for a deposit fee of 1000 pesos. This process + checkin went pretty smoothly. Upon checking out, we waited for 30mins for the security deposit because they couldnt open the door to our room. We ended up demanding for our security deposit which they reluctantly gave to us. Overall, hotel is poorly maintained with poor customer service. Does not give you your money’s worth. Suggest you explore other hotels.

Overall the hotel is a good place to stay. Staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms and lobbies were clean and adequately ventilated. Amenities in the room were all working such as television, hot and cold water, water kettle, refrigerator, blow dryer and air-condition (tagaytay was cold when we visited though so we had it set at a low temperature). Towels were provided as well as bathrobes and other hygiene products (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap). There was also coffee cups and water bottles in the room. Lots of storage space. We rented a family room which had a king size bed and 2 single beds. And it was still spacious and didn't feel cluttered even with the desks and benches around. We stayed during the weekday so it was quiet and it was a surprise that the buffet breakfast was available. Small buffet size but was good enough to cater to heavy breakfast eaters and light breakfast eaters. The problem was that the pool is an outdoor pool and it was dirty (dead bugs floating everywhere). It was also advertised as a heated pool but it was not heated at all, so the cold tagaytay air and the cold pool water was not fun.

Location is along the main road that it is very accessible to other places in Tagaytay and restaurants. The place is also spacious just like their rooms. Each floor has a spacious waiting area you can use in case you are planning to work online. Service is good. They also have a heated pool and a basic gym with treadmill and stationary bike. Note though that their bfast buffet is also basic so dont expect much. But it can be filling.

A bit on the expensive side but place is real nice and well maintained. Although every now and then there is a funky smell coming from the CR. Beds are comfy!

We have our planning here, medyo rush yung sched namin and di na nakapag ocular so we lower our expectation, but they really exceed our expectation. the place was clean, the room was big with complete toiletries and tv channel hehe. No foul smell and aircondition was good. The food was good especially their babyback ribs and breakfast buffet. you have a lot of options from fried rice to longganisa and othe viand, vhamporado, breads, eggs and even salad and fruits 🤍🤍🤍 The staff was very friendly and always greet you with a smile It was indeed a nice stay and will stay here soon with my fam

A pleasant place. Quiet. Restful sleep. On a midweek, the pool is all yours. Best place to just being lazy away from the busy life. The lobby is so huge.

My partner & I loved how tranquil the entire surroundings of Hotel Monticello is, but at the same time not far from the heart and adventures of Tagaytay. The staff were accommodating and speedy at their work, making the entire process of the stay smooth and not at all a hassle. Definitely a recommended hotel for an intimate and peaceful stay when you're about to take a break from exploring Tagaytay.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Although there are things we didn't like. Upon entering the room, we are greeted with a rather "old room" smell. It's not foul, but not very nice as well. Kind of smelled like an ancestral house. Then there's the bathroom wall. It's really weird that they chose to put a frosted glass door as a "wall" to the bathroom. Even if you're staying with really close friends/family, it's still super awkward to see their whole figure taking a shower! The frosted glass is not helping at all. This "feature" of the room prevented me from giving it a 5 star. But the staff are very welcoming and very pleasant. The hotel is really clean, lobby is spacious, bed is comfy, our breakfast was okay.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are spacious. Booked quads for my family. Vheck in was a breeze. Nice that their pool is heated too. Breakfast is just right but was not kept warm. Hope they can do something about it. I love warm meals. I hope that they can put in hair dryers though. So it's faster to finish up after a shower. But had a good stay. Thank you.

Check in at this hotel with family and kids.. we are 3 adults and 2 kids ( 8 & 4 yrs old). Their policies are 5 yrs old and above are considered adults and 2 - 4 years must use an extra bed, so we got the superior family room. The room was clean and big, spacious and we love it. There's wifi, good air-conditioning, big TV, tables and extra stool chairs. The beds were soft and big enough. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet. The shower needs a little cleaning because there are molds on the grout and sometimes the toilet smells cockroaches. We got a problem with the glass doors inside the bathroom but the maintenance staff were fast to fix the problem. Staffs are all friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good but needs more variety. Location of the hotel was great too.

For a 3 star hotel, it was great! One thing that I did note though was that there were limited personnel at the reception area and does not answer calls sometimes but overall, a great hotel to stay. Toiletries and other amenities were provided in the room. Staff were polite and courteous and the lounge area was big. Breakfast served was also nice.

Good room, efficient staff and large pool. On the down side, lack of eating options, the gym is too small, no coffee mugs or sachets in the room. Better hotels available at a lower price.

  • 5/5 Adrian G. 2 years ago on Google
Good value for money, we had a quad room with a Double and two single beds which was spacious and well laid out. Breakfast was included in the rate which was a bonus. Be careful because there are two Hotel Monticello on the map and the location is wrong

  • 2/5 Crim V. 1 year ago on Google
The place is pretty clean and the ambience is nice, the skylight shines through the penthouse down to the lobby. the lobby smells nice and the additional security of having keycards is a bonus. The free breakfast was mediocre, when I ate the Fried Bangus, I honestly thought I had COVID-19. Although the room service food was pretty ok (the price was sky-high though) we enjoyed the Crispy Pata, but didn't really liked the overly-sweet Ribs. But the real reason why I give this hotel a generous 2-star rating is because I always sleep in my boxers and when I woke up the next morning, my thighs were all itchy and had 5 small red insect bites. This couldn't possibly be mosquitoes since it was cold and I was under the sheets the whole night. I'm no expert but these bites are either bed bug bites or something else. Also, beware! The washroom has a sliding door that doesn't lock, and when you enter you can instantly see the person on the toilet or taking a shower through the glass door.

What’s good - Spacious clean room - Balcony - The staff was helpful What’s bad: - Filipino cuisine buffet breakfast only. While it’s not a big issue, keep this in mind if you are not a fan of Filipino cuisine. - Lounge music is played in common spaces. I could hear that music in the room around midnight, when trying to sleep. The music could be put down a little during nighttime. - You need to put effort to open and close the sliding door to the bathroom.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite Hotel Monticello and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby to the time of my departure, every aspect of my stay was nothing short of exceptional. First and foremost, the staff at Hotel Monticello is a true testament to the hospitality industry. Warm, welcoming, and always ready to go the extra mile, they made me feel like an honored guest throughout my stay. From the front desk personnel who expedited my check-in process seamlessly, to the housekeeping team that ensured my room was a pristine sanctuary every day, their dedication to guest comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable. Speaking of rooms, the accommodations at Hotel Monticello are the epitome of luxury and elegance. My room was tastefully appointed with modern furnishings, high-quality linens, and a stunning view that left me in awe. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the room's design, creating an ambiance that was both inviting and indulgent. The level of comfort I experienced during my stay was unparalleled. Dining at Hotel Monticello was a culinary journey I won't soon forget. The on-site restaurant offered a diverse menu that catered to a range of tastes, and each dish I savored was a masterpiece. The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients was evident in every bite, and the presentation of each course was a work of art. The talented chefs seemed to pour their passion into every creation, and the attentive waitstaff made each meal a memorable experience. The hotel's amenities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped and maintained, allowing me to keep up with my workout routine. The spa was a sanctuary of relaxation, and I treated myself to a rejuvenating massage that left me feeling renewed. The attention to wellness and self-care at Hotel Monticello is truly noteworthy. In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Monticello was a memorable and extraordinary experience. The combination of impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, exquisite dining, and prime location make it a top-tier choice for anyone seeking an unforgettable getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Monticello and am eagerly looking forward to my next stay.

We are currently staying in Hotel Monticello at the moment. We are actually booked from yesterday but we arrived today morning at around 8am after a 6-hour travel. Unfortunately, the reception Ms. Deni Robusa did not allow us to check-in and told my husband to wait for the check-in time which is 2pm without checking their records and list of guests. My husband repeatedly told her that he was booked from yesterday but she ignored and told my husband it is the policy that check-in time is 2pm. So we ended up staying inside our car. Due to the cold weather outside the hotel, again I asked my husband to check them Ms. Deni realized we are booked from yesterday and suddenly gave us the room telling my husband he did not tell her hi name. I believe, It is the reception to ask the guests name and check their record. The hotel charged us from yesterday. I hope the hotel will provide a proper training specially the receptionist who will be dealing with guests so no one will experience the same situation as what we have just experienced today with Ms. Deni Robusa.
