Hotel splendido This hotel has a lot of potential, nice surroundings with good views, but it seems that their owner is pinching a lot of pennies. The hotel has only one working elevator, doesn’t have a generator (we experienced long hours of brownouts, had to go up and down 8 flights of stairs), clogged toilets and sink, poor restaurant service (3 hours waiting for food), poor room service (was informed that the food we ordered was not available after an hour). When room service food came, it was in takeout boxes with plastic utensils, it seemed that they ordered food outside the property. The porter was also the golf cart shuttle driver. The sink in our room was rusted. I almost slipped and fell in the bathroom because of their cheap shower mat. The front desk held on to my ID because they could not process a room deposit with a credit card, and they refused to return my ID even if all the bills were settled because one of my companions was still in our room. The hotel has two towers, a golf course and a very nice and big swimming pool. Their clubhouse/building next door was boarded up. No bathrobes were included. Their decor is dated. The hotel needs better maintenance. The employees were hospitable only to a bare minimum. When we would ask inquire something on a service, their usual answer is an “I don’t know”. When we ask them if their food service is really that long, they answer “just wait for it.” They also did not initiate on refunding the early check-ins despite power outage during the morning hours. Their hotel service needs to step up, overall.

Happy to check out in one of the sh*tiest places I have stayed. While the facilities are still Ok, services and food are enough to make you cringe. No bellboys to assist your luggage (natikman ko na mag tulak ng hotel trolley luggage cart), walang towels sa pool, Rooms were not cleaned and towels were not replaced not even once during our 3 day stay . Plus when we decided to cut our stay short (di ko na sila ma take) they refused to reverse the credit card charges! Pwede naman daw bigay na lang sila ng voucher we can use in the future. After such poor experience babalik pa ba kami?

Restaurant has limited food options and minimal operating hours. Location is off the beat and path so it is far to other restaurants or shopping. It is okay if accessing the local golf course.

Booking is affordable (via Agoda), the staff are friendly, and the room is okay. Location is great since the place is surrounded with top notch restaurants and supermarkets as well. View from the room is well, splendid 😅 The swimming pool is alright. The only gripe that we have is that the WiFi is weak, and the cell data reception as well, even with modern flagship phones. So just keep that in mind if you plan to stay here to relax and work at the same time. Just an additional note, we didn't eat at the place so we can't comment on that matter.

The place itself is nice. Great view and quiet. But the hotel room itself needs TLC. The towels in the room where we stayed are not fresh. It smells terrible... with a body odor smell and it's very thin. Looks like a rug. Outside our balcony isn't clean. Makes you wonder if they even clean it at all before renting it to another guest.

Beware of extra charges — we asked ahead if we could check in early since we had a wedding to prepare for. They said okay with no further details but we were surprised that there was an extra charge to check-in early. They also flagged us for having 3 people in our party even though the room — as they claim — is usually good for 4 but they insisted our booking was only good for 2. Had to pay extra for another person but didn't even get any extra bed since the room was "big enough". Service is not great. Missed opportunity since the location is pretty good but I don't recommend. Better to book another hotel or accomodation in Tagaytay

Instead of spending much on hotel accomodation, we decided to stay couple of nights at Splendido. Definitely not the cheapest but relatively cheap compared to top-tier hotels you can avail at Tagaytay. Service is quite good-- we were treated well despite hosting a large event during our stay. The room is also good, it covered all the basics with a big bonus: a bath tub with a nice view. The only downside we can think of is that the hotel is located quite far from the main road so not ideal for commuters (although they do have a shuttle)

Horrible service. The worst ever experience we ever had. We paid so much for a hotel room lacking basic amenities. There is no cable, the tv doesnt really work even w basic channels, hotel rooms are dirty especially the bathrooms, not eneough breakfast was provided for 2 bedrooms w 4 persons, dirty nasty furnitures, not enough toilet paper, no face towels, not enough drinking water, bed is hard, room service is only available from 7 am to 7pm. On the flip side, the view is fantastic. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. They are just trying to save on everything.

Quiet place. Friendly staff. Delicious food! Parking was not a problem. The room had only one chair for the 2 of us. Big window with a great view of Taal volcano. Not perfect but we had a great experience overall.

I heard so many mixed reviews I wasn,t sure what to expect. But my stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable, most importantly it was quiet. Beautiful view overlooking the golf course. The staff were very helpful, parking was convenient and the tapa breakfast at the Country Club was really nice. I would definitely stay here again.

View is nice . Breakfast is disapointed as it is only silog and artificial super sweet juice. Pool and facilities are ok

The food is not flavorful, it is too bland, i think seasoning is good for old aged citizens. Staffs move or process to long. They change/increase the initial agreed pricing in the contract, and will not refund once you decided to cancel. The shower heater is broken, you can even brew hot coffee in the shower. The room is average, but the view of the taal volcano is stunning. If you're middle class like me, i wont recommend this place. Overall, not a pleasant place to stay for a night and will not recommend.

Queen-size beds pero intended for one person per bed lang. Di sya family friendly. Overall quality of room is great. But its hard to navigate because the entrance is unnoticeable and hard to find if not using gps. The views are picturesque but lakeview rooms have better scenery than the mountainview rooms. There are no smoking areas (I don't smoke) and no dining or picnic area. They have refrigerator but don't have microwave.

You'll need a car to come in and out of the place. My room smelled like dusty old carpet and I had to transfer day2. People were friendly.

Breath taking view. Downside is the weak/intermittent internet connection. Better use Smart data

Not a autism friendly hotel. Felt discriminated on our stay. Will not recommend to fellow parents with a child with special needs.

It has an awesome view of the Taal Lake and volcano. I woke up with clouds obscuring Taal Lake but in less than 30 minutes, the clouds that seemed to kiss the 12th floor balcony drifted away to reveal a wonderful view of the Taal Volcano!

Nice place! Very commendable! I could give it a perfect score if only there a coffee machine and enough blanket or(extra blankets) We asked for extra blankets but received no reply from the care taker. It was struggling moment considering its very cold especially at night. (Its tagaytay right?)
