First time visiting this place, it was well hidden. If you don't see the sign that says "Bag of beans" you won't notice it. It's like a gem you need to look for intentionally. The place is neat, OPEN, CLEAN and the staff are attentive. No complains too. We enjoyed the food and our stay. After being cooped up inside for a very long time, it's so nice to just stare far away, sniff the fresh air and enjoy good food. They Accept Card transactions. Their menu is similar to other branches. We ordered, Fish & Chips(Mashed potato), Banana Split, and 2 cups of coffee. All were great with good price to value ratio. If you drive a "manual transmission" vehicle and are scared of steep slopes, this might not be for you. Chose the other branches, they are more or less the same.

Great view and ambience. We've been coming back here whenever we're in Tagaytay. But boy, their menu gets more inflated every time we dine here. The first time we dined here, their food was only 200+ but recently, it was 500+. They have plenty of parking slots. Decent crowd. Accommodating staff. Although sometimes they're hard to call out. Overall, will always visit here.

Good food, bright and airy ambience. Prepare to fork out 500 php per person for a hearty breakfast. Ample parking space, but might be a bit intimidating to new drivers due to the steep incline. Worth the visit ๐Ÿ‘

Date Night with the hubby at Bag of Beans Athena Branch. You can never go wrong with the ambiance and feels when you visit this place. Pies and coffee here are great. ๐Ÿฅงโ˜•๏ธ We ordered Roast Beef and Grilled Pork Chops. ๐Ÿ˜‹ We find it too salty though so we weren't super happy but that's okay. โ˜บ๏ธ We'll still come back #whenintagaytay. #foodforinsta #reels #foodstagram #foodislove #foodphotography #yummyinmyphotos #datenight

Food are great, big servings, good for special event. Good customer service. Food is served in time. Iced caramel macchiato is the best here! Cake is delicious but not too sweet which I like. Bathroom is clean. Great view of taal volcano while eating. Recommended

Food is exquisite, as always, and with a huge serving. Waiters are approachable and respectful. I asked for an extra butter ๐Ÿงˆ only and he returned with 2 extra doses of honey. I love the ambiance here. So colonially-inspired yet with a touch of modern Filipino interior design. There's a lot of sitting area here and every space and nook is uniquely instagrammable. Love the hot chocolate (pure tablea) and itโ€™s a must have for a windy and cold weather today in Tagaytay. Reaching the parking space from the main road is a bit challenging since the road leading down is so steep, so be careful, especially when it's raining.

Banana split was really good, i think it's homemade, the carbonara tasted undercooked and waxy, the sheperds pie was super good, and the roast beef sandwich was very meaty and tasted fresh. The ambiance was really nice, pretty breezy, al fresco style of dining.

Awesome view and service was superb. Had to try Bag of Beans after seeing some reviews. Food was not what i expected. Presentation was good but taste was a tad below average. A bit of room to improve. Would probably recommend this place for coffee and their cheesecake.

Good food, good coffee and very relaxed ambiance especially during morning when its cooler. It does not have a good view of Taal Lake and the Athena branch is smaller vs the main branch but this would be the better place to go to if you're stopping by before heading home to Manila as its direction and location is much closer to both Aguinaldo Highway and the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay highway.

It's a nice place especially for taking pictures plus the food were delicious. We were lucky because we didn't wait too long for our turn. The only problems were, first, the way to the parking lot was very steep, and 2nd, the metal stairs outside the restaurant was very slippery. For a place wherein there's a huge chance of having a foggy and rainy weather, ofcourse you must consider the the safety of the customers especially when they walk from one restaurant to another. During my visit, 2 person slipped on the metal stairs outside. Ofcourse it's not the restaurant's problem but it wouldnt hurt if they put some rubber mat on those metal stairs.

Breakfast all day! For a morning person, like me, that loves breakfast any time of the day. This is one of the best spot to go to. Their pricing is a bit up there but it will suffice from the beauty of the place. It was quiet and relaxing when I went there. The place is full of beautiful plants and trees, kudos to the gardener. The staff is accommodating, I think one of them is the manager or supervisor who was also very active in assisting their guests. I will definitely come back to this place.

Better dine in during weekdays since customers flood in during weekends even in the early hours. Even though place could be busy, the staff will accomodate all your needs. Their food are delicious!! Place is great tho a little bit small (since some areas were closed that time).

4th time in this branch, and so far, this is my my new favorite, next to the original because of its spacious outdoor seating, nicer classy ambiance, and newly-renovated restrooms. :) As usual, food and service is spot on.

This restaurant has a nice view (although not of the volcano) and is also alfresco which makes for a nice atmosphere plus live music from piano to singing performances. There's also a gift/pasalubong shop if you're interested. The 4 cheese pizza tastes great, with a crispy crust while remaining soft at the same time. I would recommend the apple pie as a dessert. The ice cream complements the pie and altogether isn't too sweet. For parking, it's a bit steep when coming in/out as expected with restaurants facing the taal lake. Be warned. Would recommend dining here if you happen to visit Tagaytay.

Showed up in home clothes since it was early. Just a quick breakfast run. Front of house sat us close to the kitchen pass separate from everyone else who apparently dressed better. Kitchen crew were extremely loud the noise was overtaking our conversation. A number of them on quite a number of instances even peeped out of the pass to talk loudly to their colleagues in the dining area. Best person on the staff was the parking attendant who had initiative and cared for safety. Everyone else dropped the ball. Aesthetic was good. Food was so-so. Bottomline, spend time and money somewhere else in Tagaytay.

Bag of Beans has always been one of our go-to places in Tagaytay but it was only yesterday when we tried dining-in with our fur baby. So happy that they are truly a pet-friendly establishment. They made us sign a pet waiver at entrance but all their pet policies are very reasonable and are really inclined towards accommodating your pet. Other establishments who claim to be pet-friendly could learn a thing or two from them.

Food is good but service is not exactly pleasant. My friend and I suspect that there is a waiting list not because thereโ€™s too many people eating but because they take a long time doing everything. I noticed that the other tables took quite some time before getting cleaned. Also, we had to repeat ourselves twice to get everything, from having our orders taken up to getting the bill. And it was twice because the second time, it was the manager who attended to us. Maybe if it wasnโ€™t for him, we would have had to repeat ourselves thrice, if not more. For a well-known restaurant in Tagaytay, they definitely should up the quality of their service because even if the wait staff are okay, not-so-good service takes away from the whole dining experience.

Throughout the years they have improved to accomodate the growing number of customers. They now have a big parking area and more dining space. They also have seasonal decorations especially nice during Christmas. Food is also good albeit pricey. They have both great ala carte options and also a buffet for those who enjoy such. If you are not too bothered by crowds, Bag of Beans is good for couples, families or big groups.

A beautiful branch of Bag of Beans that offers a view overlooking the Taal Lake. Amid the pandemic and multiple lockdowns in Tagaytay, the place is well maintained. First, the waiting time is quite long we arrived at around nine in the morning and had to wait for forty five minutes. The ambiance is elegant and relaxing at the same time. The facilities were clean and well-kept. The veranda view was very calming and far from the city feels. The food was good but I got to say that I had better and the savory meals were quite pricey but the serving is more than enough for one person. The coffee though was superb and is in par with SB's or CBTL's. Their coffee beans was really cheap and I hope it tastes as good as the ones I had their.

Lovely view and the space was big to accommodate plenty of customers. Food servings were large so I suggest for first timers to share meals, especially if you or your companion doesn't eat a lot. A single order could feed 2-3 people or 1 very hungry person. They offer a variety of food, it's like traveling the world while being in Tagaytay, such as Filipino, Chinese, Italian, English, etc. They also have a variety of drinks available and the best part especially for younger customers is that they offer milk tea. There is also a bakery section for your titas to buy baked souvenirs. Would recommend to foodies, as an average person.

I've been to this place on several occasions already in the past and I gotta say, maybe due to cabin fever, this is the only time I got to appreciate Bag of Beans' ambiance more. I also missed their ceasar salad that's why I made sure to order for us. Their crispy pata is still to-die-for. Chicken teriyaki paired with mashed potato was also a bang for the buck.

The food was superb. The smoothie was Godly. But the view was the icing on the cake it was the best thing they offer. (Well atleast for me a city folk) paired with the stunning ambience. It was magnificent..... But what made me take 1 star off was the fact that the lower part of the restaurant/cafe was closed during weekdays. But besides that it was great. A definite must!!!!

I love the place and everyone is accommodating. The servers are really nice and very polite. The view is fantastic as well. But you need to prepare around 500pesos per head.

Best time to come: breakfast, from 7am to 9am. Food is okay - Filipino, American, milk teas, cakes, pasta and coffee. They have a bake shop too. Remember when youโ€™re at tagaytay almost all of the menu is the same but what youโ€™re really paying for are the: view, service and experience. Iโ€™d say Bag of beans is at the top but nothing grand about it. If anything, their personnel are so attentive, polite and knows the menu. Kudos to shift managers who take rounds too! They donโ€™t just sit down. They take orders and ask customers for on the spot feedback. Place is clean, restroom is clean, even the Parking area is clean and secured. The entrance is a downhill road going to the parking so if youโ€™re a newbie driver - take caution. Enjoy!

Itโ€™s always a pleasant experience when we go to Bag of Beans. Itโ€™s my first time to try this branch. The place is really calm and relaxing. I love the greenery and the decors. The food and beverages are really yummy! Everything we had tasted wonderful. My favorite was the grilled salmon.

Bag of Beans is one of the mainstay and go-to restaurants in Tagaytay. They already have five branches but we keep on coming back on their Athena brach. The place exudes a home-y vibe, the staff are courteous and very accommodating, there's also no wait time even during peak hours. The food is on the pricey side but they all tastes really great. Their blueberry cheesecake is a must try.

Very classy and cozy at the same time. A nice over view of the taal lake and nature ambiance that sorrounds the whole place. While sitting and having my aromatic hot coffee viewing the most likely paradise that catches my taste of morning! All thumbs up! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Nice place to chill and have lunch. Their portions are very generous good for 2-3 pax. Staff are attentive and service was prompt. Food is always as you would expect and we keep coming back. Lots of parking space as well.

I always love this place. The ambiance is romantic and quite European. The Grilled Salmon Fillet is AMAZING. We ordered it with Mashed Potato on the side. Perfect combination. The Seafood Marinara also tastes good, but not THAT mind blowing. Their hot sikwate is great, as always.

Beautiful setting and delicious food. Part of the Antonio's chain, they consistently deliver excellent food with welcoming service in wonderful decoration. Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Has large car park.

When I walked in I got the impression this place knew what it was doing. I was excited to see that they served English pies. I was told it would take 15 to 20 minutes to arrive, not a problem waiting if a fresh pie was guaranteed. When it arrived I was very disappointed ๐Ÿ˜ž, the pie wasn't fresh, had been warmed up, the pastry was tough and hard to cut. A steak and gravy pie should be cooked with the gravy, hence the name, not with the gravy on the side as in the picture. I couldn't finish it because the pie was so badly made and had very little taste. The server who got me the bill didn't even ask whether I had enjoyed it. A very overpriced and overrated restaurant. As the English say "all fur coat and no knickers". Spend your money elsewhere.

First time to try this branch. The place is good with a view of Taal but compared to other scrnic spot its vantage point is not the best. The food especially the adobo and bangus breakfast is above average but not the best in my opinion. The staff are couteous but not that lively maybe bacause it is still early in the morning. Nonetheless a must try breakfast.

Warning: just like most establishment viewing the Taal lake, expect very steep road going in and out. Take into consideration your car condition. Place is good. Food is good. The overall experience is 3 to 4 stars. My only complaint is we arrive with a bit of sunlight at 4pm and there are a few Flies pestering us. They are quick though on putting candles to address. As we finish, fly problem became a mosquito problem as they start to appear as sunlight disappears. Each order is enough to satisfy one adult. Really like Marinara Pasta and the roast beef sandwich. Pizza is good too but I would say it taste better if the crust is cooked more. (I preheated my pizza now as I type this) Cheesecake is the part me and my wife is conflicted. While it is good, she does not like the second layer of cheesecake. The cheesecake they offer has two layer. Base layer is similar to typical cheesecake while the upper layer is more creamier, milkier cheesecake that tends to melt or get soft as you eat it.

Always deliver when it comes to breakfast. Everything is just top-notch. We would get an extra serving of coffee if we were not pressed for time.

We had a quick coffee break here at Bag of Beans. It was at around 6pm. Too bad there wasn't any signal in the area. But well, it means more time to be away from the gadgets. We went here during my birthday, and it's nice to be close with the nature while relaxing. I love the idea of their outdoor dining - very aesthetic, classy, plus clean! Would like to commend the quality of food and drinks they serve. My daughter got a slice of red velvet cake. It was really a big slice, but since it tastes great (not much sweet safe from toddler being hyperactive), she managed to finish the whole slice! And she's just 2! The menu's more on the expensive side, but we get to have a nice ambiance while eating, so it's worth it. I will surely come back and try the pizza!!!! (Those from the other table got it and it looks delish!) ๐Ÿซถ
