Always Great! Amazing location... direct in front of Taal Volcano. January 2020 when the Volcano woke up and erupted it was people in the cafe... all safe and sound. Highly recommended to visit.

Great being open at 9am at a tourist destination. Seems many of the other restos didn't open till 11. Chicken was great as usual. Kids loved the chicken sisig as well as the spicy tofu. I was bit disappointed by the crispy pata. A bit chewy and dry, and room temp . I suspect it was pre-cooked for the slow morning periods. I like mine freshly cooked steaming hot and tender. Service was excellent despite the billing error which was corrected immediately and pleasantly.

The food was delicious as always. I mean, that Kare-kare is really good. Also other dishes are outstanding. You can't really complain about the food. Service is also very polite and friendly. But what makes this "Max's" special is the view. Eating good food with friends or family and having this view just made me appreciate everything even more. It's just breathtaking.

I have been here many times. Every time I come to Tagaytay, I eat here. I like the scenery outside of the window at the same time I can enjoy the food and service.

The cakes are awesome! Of course the chicken is superb!

Terrible table service!... Max's Restaurant what is happening to you... food as well is bad... plating is going down the drain... is that how you serve fresh lumpiang ubod? Even the peanut sauce, you need to request and would take more tuan 30 minutes to deliver the sauce... Que Horror! I give 2 Stars because of the great view of Taal that calmed my nerves...

Very nice place to have a good meal. I'd highly suggest to go here during the mornings or afternoons as there is a clear view of the Taal Volcano.

I discovered vegetarian Kare Kare there and ever since it’s my favourite dish here in the Philippines. Neat decent restaurant. The view is just blissful with a volcano nearby. It’s a recommendable place. Had our end of year party there and everyone was content with the food especially the fried chicken.

We tried their Breakfast Buffet (every weekends) and it did not disappoint! The only bummer is that the weather on that day is not nice.

Beautiful view on the back, Food was okay. But the service is non-existent. Our waiter is nowhere to be found. I have to go back to front several times to get refills of drinks. I have to go back to get the bill. It's like almost selfservice pero may 10% service charge 😂

nothing beats Max's fried chicken. it's still the best! their chami was a bit salty but still okay. fresh lumpia is filling.the crew attended to us promptly.

Had become generic, litson kawali for 399 was like 2 small porkchops, maybe about 200g only, kare-re and sinigang na hipon ranges about the same price, very small servings. Could have been just a 2 stars, ....gave 3 star for the taal volcano view.
