If
you're
in
Tagaytay
and
want
to
have
a
new
food
experience,
try
Gorio's!
They
serve
hearty
dishes
that
can
please
even
the
most
discriminating
of
palates
at
a
bang
for
your
buck
price
point.
We
tried
a
lot
of
what's
in
their
menu
which
you
can
also
view
here
on
Google.
I'll
just
mention
those
dishes
that
I
particularly
liked.
If
you're
a
fan
of
salty/sweet
pairings
and
potato
chips,
go
for
the
Sweet
Potato
Chips
with
Caramelized
Onion
dip!
The
chips
were
sliced
paper
thin
and
fried
crackly
crunchy.
Next
time
I
go
there
though,
I'm
having
1
order
all
to
myself!
No
sharing!
We
also
tried
the
Reuben
sandwich
and
Birria
Taco.
Between
the
2,
I
prefer
the
Birria
because
I
like
spicy
food.
My
friend
and
I
halved
the
half
of
the
Reuben
because
it
was
ginormous!
There
were
generous
portions
of
the
corned
beef,
the
sourdough
bread
was
thick
and
grilled
to
a
crisp.
I
don't
like
corned
beef
that's
just
all
meat,
it
tends
to
be
dry
but
Gorio's
thankfully
had
some
fat
on
it
so
it
was
moist
and
flavorful.
The
beef
in
the
Birria
was
tender
and
I'm
sure
the
tortilla
they
used
for
the
taco
shell
was
made
in
house.
The
chili
and
cilantro
sauces
complemented
the
taco
along
with
the
concentrated
beef
soup
dip.
The
chili
was
spicy
good!
Birria
is
like
the
Mexican
cousin
of
the
French
dip
sandwich.
For
the
main
course,
oo
nag
main
course
pa
ako
lol
I
chose
the
Angus
Pares
set
with
garlic
rice.
They
have
the
option
for
you
to
have
it
with
shirataki
noodles
(for
those
who
are
keto
or
low
carb).
I've
tasted
the
original
Retiro
Pares
in
Retiro.
They're
both
equally
awesome
but
if
you
want
something
cooked
healthier
with
less
sugar
and
a
more
grown
up
flavor
then
Gorio's
version
will
deliver
that
to
you.
There
were
spring
onions,
chopped
crispy
garlic
and
calamansi
for
you
to
use
as
toppings
for
the
pares.
For
dessert
we
tried
the
Mango
crepes,
there
were
2
in
an
order
along
with
some
vanilla
ice
cream.
They
may
have
elevated
simple
recipes
but
it
doesn't
come
across
as
pretentious
because
you
could
still
taste
the
familiar
(mas
intense
lang
nga)
and
the
presentation
of
the
dishes
were
fun
and
unintimidating
(alam
kong
pares
yun
kinakain
ko
😅).
Try
this
place
before
it
becomes
too
crowded
with
people
and
kailangan
nyo
na
pumila.
