Pros. I absolutely loved the chicken/shrimp. The Margarita I had was amazing. Ample seating. Waffle fries were delicious. Kids were entertained and happy with there food and coloring. Cons. Wife's bacon ranch chicken burger, had no ranch . Pickles were included even though she asked for them not to be. The lettuce was white and there was a miniscule amount. The pop was gross. Flattish. Despite the few issues with my wife's Burger, the incredible waitress corrected the issues without any hesitation. The rest of the meal was great and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Great staff. Clean. Everyone in our party of 15 enjoyed their food.

My sisters and I stopped in for drinks and apps and had a great time. Natasha was fantastic. She was fun and personable. Always said Independence Applebee's was the best, and they still are.

The service was slow. We almost left, but after a 13-minute wait, we finally got our drinks. Then the food was slow to arrive and had missing items. The atmosphere would be fine, but the floors were definitely not clean, with trash present.

Stopped here and ordered the Bacon Ranch Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was pretty tasty. I honestly think my food was out in less than 10 minutes. The chicken was hot, but the fries were barely warm. Highly recommend stopping by if you want a quick bite to eat!

Ordered beef nachos to go what I got was gristle off the grill no tomatoes no jalapenos and windows nachos have grilled onions? Absolutely will never eat there again at this particular store

Applebees takes the bees out your apple if you get what I mean. Great low key place though, you could probably sell a gram to the waitress and no one would even bat an eye. If you walked in in a ski mask holding a scary looking weapon and demanded money the waitress would probably just make you wait 30 minutes and then seat you at a table thats been open for the last 20, and then ignore your threatening and waving of that scary weapon all about

I love the French Onion Soup. Last time I was here I forgot to never order a steak from Applebee's. I did and the Steak was full of gristle just like it was 10 years ago when I told myself to never order another steak from here after the previous 2 steaks I ordered were full of gristle. This time when I ate there I remembered not to order the steak and everything was awesome. So my advice is don't order the steak and you will be satisfied with your meal.

Literally don't know what happened but they definitely stepped up their game. This location is hands down favored over Ridge Park Square, Brooklyn, Oh. It was cleaner, food more flavorful, customer service was pleasant and not obtrusive. Very pleased!

I came here tonight with family and I have to say that I am disappointed in how things turned out. First I was given a bad Pepsi that tasted like it was a Diet Pepsi. When I asked for another one to be brought to the table, it was only a little bit better. Second, I was brought filthy silverware which my family members thought was okay, but when I took another look- IT WAS FILTHY! I should have sent it back but decided not to use it. Third, my wife's salad had to be remade because the server caught it wrong at the table- at least our server made it right and my wife got to eat her meal after the mistake was fixed. Fourth I ordered the fish and chips meal- my fish was fine but my chips that came with my entree- could have been at a better temperature. I am very disappointed on how service turned out tonight and I have come here in the past many times with better service and better food. Applebee's needs a revamp and needs it badly. And I don't blame our server- she was trying her hardest- I blame your other staff members who really didn't seem to care.

Forgot to bring our appetizers to the table. We received the main course but not the appetizers. The server said the appetizers were packaged up with a to-go order. How does a place that specializes in appetizers and drinks mess this up?

Never had an issue at this location. My GF is Vietnamese and likes it because she can always find something. You can get a nice sit-down meal for less than a fast-food joint...just had a giant chicken sandwich, fries and drink for ten bucks (NOV 2024). The bar is also run properly, unlike most similar style venues. Blew my mind when the manager checked with the guests to be sure everything was okay.

My sister and I went for an early dinner. We were in a booth by the window and that was fine for us . However the food was bad. My sister fish and chip was very greasy and fries were cold. My mashed potatoes was salty and dry.waiter seem as if he was too busy for our table when my sister told him about her food. Never going back .

I attended a gathering on Saturday with a group of twenty. We ordered appetizers the waitress was doing her best to get everybody's orders in. A hour later our entrees hadn't come out I was trying to figure out why our entrees were being delayed The manager insured is that all food was going to come out to the table hot He never sent any assistance to help this waitress at all and he had very unpleasant attitude when we asked how long. Some people. Food came out it was cold Some was dry. Some people canceled the orders also one sent their order back because it was cold and had it reheat it

This Applebee's is pretty much the same as every other Applebee's. My waitress was the best part of the visit. Food is okay but portions are on the small side. Probably so they can sell you a dessert. You should go here if you are seeking the comforting experience of sameness. A burger, wings, maybe a beer. For that, it is not a terrible choice.

Super friendly staff. Fun to hang out with for an extended lunch. The food was a bit less stellar. I had the fish and chips...of which there seems to be two varieties...excellent and just missed. Everyone were helpful and pleasant, which always helps.

By far the worst experience ever. Walk in- there’s a wait. Can’t sit at the bar , even though there is only ONE other couple sitting there because she’s apparently working both bar and tables. Okay cool. Finally get seated, LISTEN, I get y’all were short staffed, but WHY should new customers suffer?! Our server (didn’t even get her name) was SLOW, having to ask for things multiple times, I sensed the attitude immediately. Our food took forever to come. And when it did it was less than great. Fries tasted like they were sitting out all day and completely inedible. When done, we asked for a To go box… our server walked by with boxes…. But for another table… why couldn’t you have brought multiple with you and dropped off at our table on the way?! After waiting over ten minutes, we just decided to leave and leave some of our untouched food there. Apparently it was too much of a bother to get what we asked. Wasted food and wasted money. Never again.

Very disappointing and alarming experience. Pay attention to your payment details and keep your records. I was an unfortunate customer on May 11, 2023. I visited the Independence, Ohio location on Mother's Day weekend. This was my 1st and last time at this particular location. My bill was paid ($27.66) via cash app card. Fast forward, June 14th 2023; I get a notification via Cash App in the early morning hours...I just was charged the same amount, ($27.66) during midnight/ morning hours. I don't appreciate being scammed or stolen from. You try to do business with these very basic franchise restaurants and this is how they repay you. I would not recommend going there even if they gave the food away. Go elsewhere.

After we were seated, we noticed how dirty the restaurant was. It looked like it had not been clean in years! There was cobwebs all over the light hanging over our table and the pictures on the wall were just as filthy! It was disgusting! Who wants to eat around that. We left and will not be returning. This was in March of 2022.

The food was good. Service was just slow due to poor staffing. Our waitress was super nice but definitely overwhelmed -- definitely not fair to her to be the ONLY server on the floor at 5pm. This location has declined over the years.

Half a bowl of French onion soup, my husband didn’t get his fish dinner until everyone else was almost done with their dinner, couldn’t tell the waitress because she never came back around, when she did and we told her she said oh yeah, then went in the back and came out to her station and ordered it. Asked for to go containers and no cup to put the Alfredo sauce in.

Stopped into Applebee's in Independence after a ballgame. We sat at the bar to avoid waiting to be seated. Had appetizers, hot chocolate and coffee. Buffalo wings, chips & artichoke dip, chicken quesadillas. All were excellent. Service was quick & accurate. However, I was annoyed by server/barista and others employees talking, at length, (apparently) about someone else that worked with them. Totally unacceptable, especially in front of customers. Disappointing conduct!

Food was good however our pre-ordered meal was about 25 minutes later than it was supposed to be and only lukewarm. Take out server did keep coming over and reassuring us but we would prefer when ordering a head of time that order is ready and still hot.

This is a pretty typical Applebee's. Restaurant and bathrooms are pretty clean, which is good. The staff is also pretty nice, I never felt weird or anything. I will say they have been hit by staffing shortages, so things here take a while. I don't really blame the restaurant or the workers, but you may wait a long time for food. Overall fine, just be mindful.

Went at 1:00, not busy at all. Are food was done very quick and done to our liking. Everything would have been perfect except for the fries. Ours just happened to be the last ones of the batch . Small bits and pieces which should not have been served All and all, a pretty good experience.

The food is consistently good. I've never had an issue with carryout or curbside. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes past the time when I take out was due, so kudos for that, and they've never gotten it wrong many kudos for that.

Like many places understaffed. But man they hustled!!! And the food FINALLY got to our table it wad very good. Again our server was EXCELLENT covering the bar and half the restaurant. She kept us informed. And was very pleasant.

Food was good. My steak was cooked to the right temperature and was tasty, everything else was good. Service was slow and our server was less than attentive although friendly enough.

Went there for the first time on many years. Had lunch with my besties and a good time. Had bourbon street chicken and shrimp. OMG was it awesome. Waitress was great because she didn't come around to many times. I hate that. Will definitely go again

Tried to order online. Website says open until 2. At 1045 says cannot complete order before close. I tried calling 2x. It said enter your remote access code and disconnected. Guess they don't want my money!!! Funny Doordash can get my food for me!!!

I visited this Applebee's location for a business meeting. It is wintertime, yet it was colder than it was outside- in fact, nearly all customers were wearing their coats during their dining time! The server was not very attentive, oftentimes forgetting what she needed to bring back. The portion size for the entrée was disappointing. Needless to say: Applebee's is not going to be chosen for the next dinner meeting.

Very good place. Little busy, maybe it was just today but looked a little short staffed. Food was good, ordered unlimited BBQ wings & fries. Wings on both orders came out cold unfortunately but was still very good! Staff was very professional and polite! Unfortunately I do not remember the waitresses name but she made sure the 3 of us were always taken care of. Would recommend that place to friends and family!

Our Barmaid was Awesome. She had So much to take care of. She had the bar and tables on the side. It was amazing. She is a very hard worker and Definitely deserves a Raise. She looked at her watch and told me she did approximately 8000 steps. This girl needs help 🤦‍♀️ She was also very polite. This was on Thursday 2/16 @ approximately 5:30 - ish. The person at the front is phenomenal, she was very attentive and running around to try to do everything. I came Saturday night, and noticed that she really was doing a fantastic job. However, I’m INCREDIBLY disappointed with the food I received (we picked up our food to go). I’m vegetarian and they gave me a regular burger which I didn’t notice until I got home. I haven’t eaten meat in 10+ years, thankfully I didn’t eat it. I was issued a refund but it was supposed to be a treat night out, totally ruined. I will NOT be back. And I used to love Applebees. Would stay far away if you have any special dietary restrictions

Food could have been a lot better asked for a med. Rare steak it came well done and dry order shrimp with it did not come out with it had 2 ask for it again then wait. The appetizer came no extra plates everybody eat off one plate. Just not a good Father's day dinner.

It took an hour and a half to get my food on a Monday evening. Six tables in the whole restaurant. Evidently all the chefs quit and the manager was the only one who could cook that night. The bartender was nice.

Service was slow. Waitress was forgetful and not very attentive; half of my steak was gone before she rembered to bring A1. I watched her deliver a table full of meals, yet they had no silverware and had to request some so food sat getting cold. Food was ok; salad had many slimy/wilted pieces of lettuce. Blender was broken so frozen drinks weren't available. Not a great experience but we were hungry and they were the only place open in the area.

Staff is friendly and engaging with regular and new customers. The managers and service staff take time to thoroughly train new employees. The menu offers a wide variety of choices that are always prepared properly. In fact, I have been a daily lunch regular for 4 years and rarely have I seen a food order returned. The servers make sure that items are delivered as ordered.
