This place is really cosy. Most of the time is sunny so you can walk around this location calmly.

Lovely town. Many activities outside the city. This square is nice and relaxing. Lots of people around the area. Safe.

Welcoming you to this place known as the "Peruvian Swiss", Huaraz is a city that offers a variety of beautiful landscapes and exquisite native food!

The square was very busy due to carnival festivities. The music was lovely and the kids bands were bright and cheerful. I will return for a slower day soon. The grounds are well maintained and pretty.

The plaza de armas is a nice place to chill during the day/night. Close to hostels/hotels and the main street of huaraz with many tour companies. The food market (mercado central) is only a few blocks down from the plaza.

It is a nice park to visit when the sun is out. You can also walk from here to the oldest barrio in the city. There were major earthquakes in the 40s and 70s that leveled the town. Only a small area survived. It is close to the anthropological museum as well.

This is a quiet place in Huaraz, where you can let local shine your shoes or you can pay the lady for picture with lama.

We got to experience a religious procession. It was a typical town square.

Bautiful plaza de Armas with the usual church, fontain and mamy opportunities ro sit down and watch the surroundings. There is always something happening, like a parade, people singing, dancing, street vendors. Most of the time you can get drinks, ice cream, popcorn or other sorts of food.

Very pretty plaza. It is aways very well kept and has flowers and plants adorning the entire perimeter. Other than that, there's not much to do in it. O would advis visiting the plaza only on the first day in Huaraz, or if you wish to spend a peaceful time seated on one of its benches. There's really not much to do on here.
