One of the best properties MTDC has ever got, but I think they don't care about it. 1. No intercom available in any of the rooms 2. Room service not at all up to the mark 3. Rooms are very so so 4. The restaurant staff is very arrogant, A few of the staff members were not at all helpful 5. When we ordered tea, we got an answer that until rain stops we won't come. 6. There is a lot of scope for improvement. 7. I feel few people need proper training on how to interact with the customer. 8. Property needs to be clean and Neat 9. Visited their water park, which has few good rides, but the entire water has turned green, It feels like it's been ages since they have cleared the water. 10. When it comes to the price, the service we get here is not at all worth it. MTDC authorities must look.

Please read my review carefully here as its regarding the cabs recommended by staff at MTDC karla and about the auto drivers at MTDC and also at Karla caves. We booked MTDC karla because it had early check in 10:30 am while other hotels had 1 p.m . The location is good and amidst nature. The standard non ac room which we booked was in bad condition. The main door is not very secure and since its a cottage very far from reception it doesn't feel secure if there is no crowd. But thankfully for us all cottages were taken as it was last weekend of holidays. Food was OK but tea and onion pakoda was the best. We hired the auto standing at MTDC to go for karla caves for 3Rs. 350. Just before reaching the driver asks to pay 150 more to take at the top. From bottom its 300 steps and little from top its 100 steps to reach the caves, so we paid more. While coming back we clearly mentioned a auto to drop at MTDC karla resort and he asked for 250, so we sat. After reaching at the turn from highway , he stopped and asked us to pay 100 more to take inside. We argued that MTDC resort is still 1/2 km from here . He mentioned for them the resort starts from here. We didn't want to encourage his cheating methods so we got down and walked to the resort. So people please be careful with auto drivers in and around Lonavala. Next day to attend a function at Lonavala we asked for a contact of cab from main housekeeping person standing at reception. He gave a number of Mr.More . He asked for 700 which was little more for 10 km ride. But still we agreed as we didn't have any other source. After we put our luggage in cab he said it will be 200 more as its little outside Lonavala. Since we were getting late we had to agree . Please do not book cab with Mr.More or at least find proper rates before hand so that you can bargain .

Great place for short stay. Very close to old highway, and on the banks of Indrayani river. Very peaceful and green place. Good service, decent food. Rooms are quite spacious, could have been maintained a bit better. Overall good value for money.

If you are looking for a calm and quite holiday with serene nature, look no further and go ahead and book MTDC Karla, near Lonavala. This resort is surrounded by full of tree as and feel like you are staying in a forest. A decent restaurant serves good food although limited options. They have their own water park to enjoy, which kids really like. The accommodations facility is quite decent but don’t expect great hospitality here. They have ample space for parking. Overall quite decent but can improve facilities and hospitality. Recommended for family !

2 day stay at MTDC Cottage with 2 Balcony. Rooms were so spacious and bathroom are neat and clean. Climate is good. Food at the restaurant are really good. No complementary breakfast. No boating was available during Oct 2022

Direct access to the expressway, conveniently reachable, surrounded by serene nature and lush greenery. Ideal for a visit during the rainy season. Plenty of parking space near your rooms. Limited availability of 5 non-AC garden rooms; instead, AC garden rooms are provided (despite the cold). Perfect one-day getaway for tranquility amid nature, escaping the daily chaos.

The location & ambience of the property is awesome. If you are a natural lover, visit the place during weekdays so that you can get a calm & quiet environment. The food available at the MTDC restaurant is good. Unfortunately, the rooms are not upto the mark. The gallery of the rooms and surroundings are not cleaned properly. Though the property is beautiful, the management is not taking care of the rooms & service.

It was a wonderful stay at this place. Very good location and vast area with lot many cottages compromising of various types. We visited on 31 December 23 and the occupancy was full. It also has a water park. Nice place to relax and rejuvenate

While the atmosphere is pleasant, there is room for enhancement in both room quality and service. The upkeep of children's play areas requires attention, as housekeeping appears to be lacking and needs consistent monitoring. Nevertheless, the overall location is suitable for a brief stay, boasting a nature-friendly environment and food quality is good.

Disappointing experience. Only the location of the resort and cottage is excellent. Nothing else. Below average Maintanence compared to rooms of same tariff. Nothing doable for kids. Water resort not maintained. Chargeable. Suggest to spend some more money and book other good resorts in Lonavla. After all it’s government run.

The resort was so idyllic nestled in 42 acres of land....beautiful verdant, rustic and lush green. The delux cottage was good too. Clean and spacious. The only hitch was some old furniture, which could be replaced. The boarded windows could be made to open. But, otherwise full marks for the cottage. The drawback was that there was no room service available. The resort was understaffed and the canteen too had limited options since no kitchen staff was available. These issues need to be addressed

Very good environment and location. Furniture is too old but the rooms are very clean. Water park is average. Huge parking space. Good staff. Avg. Restaurant but very fast service. Liked it.

Location is perfect for peace of mind,🌅🌄, should be matained more cleanliness in rooms. Atmosphere is good in any season. Mouth watering Breakfast with variety of food. Overall our Stay is good. Looking at the room cleanliness the price of the room is little high.

Very old resort of MTDC. Many tourist attractions nearby. Near to Lonavala. Enjoy water park nearby. Boating is closed during monsoon. The restaurant in the resort is good. However, there are limited options. We didn't get chinese and tandoori options since the chef was not available. However, the complimentary breakfast was sumptuous. It you love nature, then it is must

Stayed in room 53, clean non smelly spacious room, with 90+ mix language channels functional, starting the Tv is a manual process, two bottles of water are provided with mosquito repellent and small soap, towels were clean, car parking next to the room. Hot water is available, Complementary breakfast is available in the morning with limited options, make sure to be there on time. Indian and Chinese lunch and dinner options are available, main water is available at mrp avoid carrying, however the room is far. The location is scenic and there is a lot of space to walk - make sure you walk in the center as the edge of the road is slippery, as mentioned the place hosts a water park 11:30 to 5:00pm, 15 people required to start the park, entery charged at 300/- per person, is as good as fari-as, again safety is your own responsibility. Staff are warm and homely, but limited. Don't expect a professional approach like high end hotels. Boating is closed, and I heard play areas will be repaired by Diwali.

Location is great. You can access Ekvira Devi Temple and Wet & Joy in just 10 min by car or bike. Surrounded by huge and great number of different trees, have many butterflies, birds. Construction is old and need repair atany places However their chef is great, the food was amazingly tasty. Veg Crispy is must try. Only if they get 15 people or more, then only Water Park can be opened for the day, else it will be closed. This was the major drawback.

Excellent location and a nice hotel. They have a sizable space with numerous trees. Wonderful accommodations include rooms with gardens. The restaurant staff as well as the rest of the employees were quite helpful. I just have one criticism: the cleanliness of the rooms should be improved. The rooms had some cockroaches, and the cupboards smelled awful.

Location is the only positive point of this property. Rooms are very old and they ha e that typical old rooms smell which are not regularly maintained. Basic service like TV is very old colors not functional. Food service of MTDC is poor don't give complimentary breakfast if you can't make it. Also don't print menu cards which you can't serve. In general they need huge transformation. Only plus point is location

Away from city crowd and surrounded by ample greenery with acres of space with activities like children's play area, boating, rain water dance, swimming pool, walking path, restaurants. We took a bunglow with 2 bedrooms and. Hall. Also done campfire in night which was amazing. Overall very happy 😊

Just for location, scenic view we prefer to go there again and again. Food is not that good but the trip is always compensated in a restaurant outside the road. Baithak! Good food, ambiance and live music.

Quite good place, you can spend time in cool and calmly. Rooms are specious. Don't miss morning walk, its quite pleasant and u will feel fresh. Just on old pune H.Way there are several food option. Karla caves are quite near, i think 8 km approx. Inside resort you will find century area type feeling. 🙂

MTDC has its own charm. Rooms are good with all the basic amenities. We booked a super deluxe suite. It had two bedrooms and a living room furnished with sofas. The bed room was huge and one of the bed rooms had a carrom board!. The resort is quite huge with beautiful big and numerous trees. It's a nice serene place tucked away but about a 20 minutes drive from lonavala.

Awesome location for nature lover, it's huge place for Walkers and enabling kids to do cycling, parking is just in front of cottages......big cottages with suite type set up. slightly low on hygiene but they are giving budget and affordable meal like 150-200 INR person

My family had holiday over there for couple of days. The location and suroounding is just too good, awesome. It is in the close visinity of Indrayani river. If you travel from Pune to Lonavala it is on the left. The diversion adjecent to Baithak Dhaba needs to be followed. The rooms are specious, and ambient. A group of ladies also can stay there for a family get-together. It is really safe. Boating is available here. Ample parking lot is also available. The Indrayani restaurent serves decent meal. One should must visit here it is calm, nature reach and just pleasent. The Karla caves and Ekvira temple is also near by. Sunil's wax museum is also in close proximity. If you get down at Malavali station auto rikshaws are available to reach here. All in all it is nice stay and a perfect destination if you want to chill for a couple of days.

Decent acceptable food .The Chicken tikka was balanced but a little bit undercooked.Dal daka was nice and jeera rice well cooked.The daal kichdi was disappointing don't try it .

We book this resort for 1 day with family friends and it was was worth spending there. Property is very good and so many room options are available . The food quality is also good and all these things are actually in cheaper rate as compared to outside competitors.

MTDC Karla, one of the best destinations to spend your holidays in serene nature. It is located inside the lovely greenery. You can also enjoy boating over here. MTDC Karla also has a water resort. It also has its own restaurant. The accommodations facility is very good. There is also ample space for parking.

Rooms are fine. The property is huge and lot of trees. Maintenance is good. Sofa in the room was throwable, otherwise the room, bathroom, bedsheets/pillow cover were clean. Restaurant on the property is fine and does its job, nothing great. Room service is pretty much non-existent, primarily because of the property size and the lack of staff to support it. Boating on Indrayani river is added benefit, a bit expensive but good. Lot of mango trees, which you can eat from during mango season.

PROS- It has huge area with trees and fauna. Very spacious rooms. Furniture is old but rooms are clean. Water park ok.Ample parking space. Best part of this place is surrounding insects, birds, creatures sound. It feels great to get up in morning refreshing. Also sitting at the bank of Indrayani for sunset is amazing for bird watchers. From crow to kingfisher to egret to Swifts so many birds at river bank. Also so many caterpillars, frogs, etc. Children loved it 👍 👍 Walking passage arqqqqaa Cons- However it's children's garden is bad shape👎 Room service is sometimes not available. Bathing water is sometimes muddy. Boating was stopped idk why. Overall it is good place for natures lap. Visited in September month for last two years
