One of my best memories of Kutch is the Rann of Kutch festival. One of a kind experience with the abundance of salt spread across the land is a unique experience. It feels like snow through pictures but it is hardened salt that are in large chunks. Some travel tips. Best to go in the month of January and experience the Sunset out here as you get to see the scenic setting with colors of sun making the experience magical. If you want to see the Sunrise, since it is too cold you photos may not be the best considering youโ€™ll be breathing the cold smoke out thatโ€™ll spoil your photos. Also, stay in the Bunga because staying the tent would take the daylights out of you as it get absolutely chilling cold in Jan. It is beautiful to see the camels around and thereโ€™s a top view point that gives a scenic view of the White salt land. There are hot air balloon rides also available for people wanting a different perspective of the place. Youโ€™ll need a permit which you will get at Dhordo, as you enter for Rann. This was the best experience of my trip in Gujarat.

Its a beautiful place and highly recommended attraction to visit once in Gujarat. Though I'll warn you for its touristy and commercial environment, but overall if you are able to dodge the crowd and find a place in isolation were you can enjoy the rann, its worth the visit. Overall, not something that is exceptional but yes you can visit and can enjoy your day here. Recommended to visit during sunset.

The Rann of Kutch is a large area of salt marshes that span the border between India and Pakistan. It is located mostly in Gujarat, India, and in some parts of Sindh, Pakistan.

The Rann of Kutch is an ethereal destination that left me awe-struck from the moment I set foot in this mesmerizing land. Words fail to capture the true magnificence and sheer beauty that awaits visitors in this expansive salt marsh. It is an experience that deserves every bit of the five-star rating, and I cannot recommend it highly enough...

"White Rann of Kutch" The Rann is the star attraction of Kutch! It is a unique geographical feature of salt encrusted sand making you feel you are in the midst of a white desert. This is most beautiful when seen on a full moon night. There were Celebrate Rann utsav also which mention there culture, religions, folk music & dance. Everyone must visit this place once. Incredible India.

What an amazing place , one in a life time experience. The salt marsh shimmers like a silver blanket in the moonlight. Plan your trip on a full moon as we did, or no moon, two different experience.
