If you are interested in history about trains, then this place should be on your visit list. This place shows the history of the Trains in India. Adults and Kids can learn a lot about trains in this place. Entry is free of charge, great initiative by the Railway department. When you enter the main building the museum is located on the left side. You can ask the staff for directions in case of any confusion, because due to lack of foot falls, the staff usually keeps the lights inside the museum off, in order to save the electricity. Not many people are aware of its existence. Anyways the place is well maintained, worth visiting.

If you like trains, this museum is something that I would definitely suggest. It is an under-appreciated gem. There are various exhibits that walk you through the history of Indian railway. It even has relics of actual instruments, meters, and even the cutlery used in the railway in olden times. Though small in size, it is filled with interesting information. What's more, there is no entry fee. The only thing is that it doesn't seem to be that popular, and may not find it right away. So if you want to visit it, just take the first left after you enter through the main entrance of the Western Railway Head Quarters. The Western Railway Head Quarters building is right in front of the Churchgate railway station.

Conserving heritage, Western Railway has opened Heritage Gallery at its headquarters building at Churchgate, Mumbai. The Gallery has recently been renovated. It is a collection of various models of BB&CI era, the precursor of Western Railway. Many notes of agents of BB&CI dating back to 1860s have also been displayed. Suburban timetable of 1948, steam engine model, signalling equipment, Model of 1928 EMUs, working model of Auxiliary Warning System, etc. have been beautifully displayed. The gallery gives an insight about the development of lines on Western Region of India. The BB&CI map dating back to 1930s shows us that the Western line started from Mumbai via Vadodara, Ratlam connected GIP Railway at Mathura to reach Delhi and further Peshawar. The Frontier Mail (Golden Temple Mail) used to run up to Peshawar. The Gallery is open for public free of cost during working hours and on special occasions.

Supposedly a gallery/museum...the security guards confirm, but employees on site claim it is not, and you can only enter the building as an employee. A waste of a trip

It is near to churchgate railway station. Inside the office building there is a museum which shows some historical pictures of railway, miniature models, some old equipments used by railway etc.

Interesting history and museum, however make sure to club it with additional places close by because it’s a small museum and takes 10-15 min to see the entire thing. There is a nice real train in the front that my toddlers enjoyed exploring.

"I recently dined and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The ambiance was exquisite, setting the perfect tone for a fine dining evening. The service was top-notch, with attentive and courteous staff who added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Every dish we tried was a culinary masterpiece. From the appetizers to the desserts, each plate was a delightful journey of flavors and presentation. The quality and taste of the dishes truly showcased the expertise of the chef. In summary, [Restaurant Name] offers an impeccable dining experience with a lovely ambiance, attentive service, and exceptional cuisine. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable fine dining experience." Feel free to customize this review with the restaurant's name and any additional details you'd like to include.
