Various stalls like handicrafts made on traditional designs are sold and the local artistry is represented in the Mela. The visitors have a good time enjoying the stalls.

Bishnupur is my home town and this mela (fair) is a celebration to Bishnupurians. So many tourists visit Bishnupur in this time (23rd to 27th December).

This mela held generally in the month of December and contain various types of shops or stalls. The main attraction of this mela is the ART GALLERY. It shows the reputed culture of Bishnupur. Other attractions are terracotta pottery, cloth etc. Every year mela committee arrange a huge orchestra show, where many celebrities gather with a huge audience.Overall this place contain a energetic positive vibe where any one can find pure joy. I highly recommend this place for one day tour at winter.

Bishnupur Mela or Bishnupur Festival. Usually held in the month of December (last week) every year. Popular spot. Bishnupur Festival was started in 1988. This fair has been held for last 34 years uninterruptedly. The main attraction of this fair is different handicrafts of Bishnupur and adjoining areas. Cultural programs are also mentionable. However, most of the participants in this fair are food shops with their stock of different food dishes. On the whole, handicrafts are the main attraction of the fair.
