Shallabugh Wetland is located in district Ganderbal... This is the one of the famous Wetland of Kashmir valley... Estimated nearly 30 lakh migratory birds visit the wetland every year which approximately covers Thirty six thousand kanals of land in Shallabugh which is located just seven 7 km’s from the district centre. Popular migratory birds including Geese, Bar Geese, White Heeled Duck, Shoveller, Red-Crested Pochard, White-Eyed Pochard, Common Teal, Pintail, Mallard, Gadwall, Coot, Hoonk and Graylag visit the wetland in winter. Migratory birds from Indonesia, Siberia, Northern Europe, Ladhak, China and Central Asia visit the Shallabugh wetland. The beautiful Wetland of Kashmir...

So sad to see it's present conditions may god give this wetland it's charm back I still remember when I was a child and i saw many migratory birds there and today I was shocked to see it present conditions .locals should rise their voice to protect this precious wetland of kashmir. Instead they have encroached it from every side bloody greedy people
