Aurangabad..
Located
on
Godavari
river.
This
is
one
of
the
largest
irrigation
projects
in
the
Indian
states
Maharashtra.
Water
of
this
dam
mainly
use
to
irrigate
to
agricultural
land.
It
also
provides
water
for
drinking
and
for
industrial
use
to
nearby
villages
and
towns
to
municipalities
and
industrial
areas
of
Aurangabad
and
Jalna
District.
This
dam
was
decided
to
make
in
Jaikwadi
Village
in
Hydrabad
state
but
after
seperation
and
regeneration
of
Maharashtra
state
that
was
decided
to
locate
near
Paithan..
Even
after
change
the
location
name
of
this
dam
remain
constant..
The
foundation
of
this
dam
laid
by
our
former
Prime
Minister
Mr.Lal
Bahadur
Shastri
..
After
complition
of
this
dam
Indias
another
former
Prime
Minister
Mrs.Indira
Gandhi
enaugurated
this
Nath
Sagar
Dam.
This
is
also
Hydro
Electric
power
plant.
Have
capacity
of
12
MW
capacity
installed
On
the
right
bank
of
the
river
.
The
water
used
for
power
generation
is
pumped
back
To
the
main
reservoir
from
the
tail
pond
Using
reversible
hydro
turbine.
It
seem
very
fearful
after
standing
on
top
of
the
dam..
So
much
distance
land
is
covered
by
water.
That
was
a
great
experience
to
be
here
and
visit
to
this
wonderful
piece
of
development
of
india..
It
seems
like
to
go
in
past
and
touch
to
history..
High
and
developed
thinking
of
future..
