Kadra dam is constructed to a the shortest river Kali at Uttarakannada District. It serves as source for hydroelectricity generation and domestic water is supplied to nearby villages and also to the Kaiga nuclear power plant worker’s township. The view from the top bridge is breathtaking and you can only experience this during monsoon time.

This dam is nestled in the heart of nature. The place is beautiful, calm and serene. The dam is around 40kms from Karwar city, the road to the dam is narrow but the condition is good with sparse traffic. If you are planning a trip take whatever you would need as there are no restaurants or shops on the way. You can see the dam from outside but you are not allowed to get inside. You can take photographs, however they will not justify the beauty.
