Well Here we go! St Francis Xavier who was here on his mission of converting to Christianity was basically hunted down by the local king and story is he disappeared into the ocean but actually near the sea shore there was an cave in which he took shelter and dug himself a well with sweet water. So basically he lived there for 2 years fishing for food and drinking the water. Authentic story now: He lived in this cave for 2 years and wrote 14 letters before finally departing to Goa.

I had the incredible opportunity to visit St. Francis Xavier Cave in Manapad, and I must say it was a truly awe-inspiring experience. This hidden gem of a cave holds not only natural beauty but also a rich historical significance. The moment I stepped into the cave, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and wonder. The rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites inside are nothing short of breathtaking, and the way natural light filters through the openings creates a magical atmosphere. What makes this cave even more special is its connection to St. Francis Xavier, a revered figure in history. Exploring the cave and learning about its role in his journey was a humbling experience. I would highly recommend visiting St. Francis Xavier Cave in Manapad to anyone seeking a unique blend of natural beauty and historical importance. It's a place where you can connect with nature, history, and spirituality all in one visit. Truly a hidden treasure worth exploring!
