Vineyard + Ranch is a scam! Visited this place for the first time with great hopes (considering the star rating) and penning down my own thoughts now. Big Banyan Vineyard : Full scam, nothing else! - In the name of just visiting the place, on a per head basis, either you will end up coughing 1200 INR (production process tour + Vineyard tour + wine tasting) or 400 INR (just the visit to Vineyard + production process). Now here comes the scam: 1) 'Ranch' & 'The Big Banyan Vineyard' belong to the same person, but the two entities have been created to extract maximum money from the visitors. 'Ranch' is a dedicated area for Vineyard + dining area while 'The Big Banyan Vineyard' is a dedicated area for "understanding" the process of manufacturing of wine + tasting. 2) we took two tickets worth 1200 and one worth 400 and by the time we finished, we understood the scam part and reproducing it here for the general information of all prospective visitors: a) The visit to Vineyard last maximum 5 minutes and after that the tour guide is in too much of hurry to return back to wine tasting area. b) Promised volume for 6 types of wine tasting is 30 ml, but the bartender will not serve more than 10-15 ml, and you will have to ask the person time and again for the refill. Pathetic! The sickest part was that though premium wines were part of tasting package, but somehow were not in stock. Cheap!!! c) Except for a stupidly planned visit to a big room full of large stainless steel containers, nothing is there to showcase in the manufacturing of wine. Absolutely no interest shown by the tour guide. Atrocious! Now comes the visit to 'Ranch', which is a dining area. Kept and maintained well. Food & drinks are good, but NOT value for money. For example, in-house manufactured L'angoor wine's MRP is 300 INR , but at their very own bar it retails at 900 INR + taxes!! For what reasons?! I would sincerely advise prospective visitors to think twice before planning the visit. The Vineyard is beautifully nestled away from the city, and in the name of giving a unique experience, running a nice scam on the outskirts of Bangalore.

Great place for a day-outing. The wine tasting session was good. Best time to visit is Feb-March. The lunch buffet was amazing. Loved the wine, the food and the service. I felt the buffet was a bit overpriced (1500 per person). Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely visit again.

I had a very bitter experience when I went with the family for second time The person who was explaining about the wine didn't explain much like the first time. There was a very noisy batch of 20 people at the second table and it was all together a very chaotic experience. The coordinators tried to accomodate alot of people together in wine tasting and completely ruined the expression. Regretted going there again. Not to forget the overpriced food at the Ranch

Review are for wine tasting and visit to vineyard.. Nice wine tasting experience.. weekdays are preferred as it becomes crowded on weekends so you can't enjoy quality during tasting and listen to speakers.. Little pricey based on quantity being served... Refund should be issued if overpaid by mistake...

I loved my experience at Big Banyan, everything from the property, to the vines and was exquisite. The tour was informative and gave me an insight into vine making. The staff was amazing and made our stay a wonderful experience. Overall, I find it to be one of the best vineyards in Bangalore and is an absolute MUST VISIT! Don’t forget the yummy food at The Ranch and remember to pickup a bottle from their diverse portfolio on your way back!

Very Nice and Calm place to spent weekends. Perfect place if you want to spend some quality time with your family or loved ones. The Resort is not just limited for vineyard lovers but anyone who has love for food and nature can stay and spend time. There are luxurious cottages also available to stay. Overall awesome place.

Very nice rooms, good food & excellent service. Should consider providing garden furniture on the sit out of the rooms to enjoy the ambience. Very friendly and courteous staff. Unfortunately the cottages don't have a UPS backup, although the blackout was attended to in some time. Perhaps they should consider having UPS as an immediate alternative.

Well this place is good for a day outing, we visited recently. We loved the environment , the tour and wine tasting takes 45-50mins . They serve 2 varieties of red and white wine followed by rose and dessert wine . Definitely the quantity is very less . So I would like to bring this regarding one executive who was serving wine . While serving wine across the table the bottle got over and few drops were left and he poured that 6-7drops into my glass , when I asked him to get some more as I need to taste he was rude and said the wine is over . But things just changed when an insect fell into my glass of wine and they had to change the entire glass and pour fresh wine into it . This was my experience during wine tasting. Following to wine tasting we also tried their buffet at the Raanch, the spread was good . Not that extensive but it was decent. But the executives at the restaurant are not cooperative and also quite rude to customers. Which they need to look into . Note - they only have buffet . My experience- 4 Wine tour - 4 Wine tasting- 3.5 ( minus for the behaviour ) Ambience- 5 Restaurant- 3.5

Amazing place, lush green surroundings and excellent wine tasting tour made it a memorable experience at the Big Banyan Vineyard. Friendly and courteous staff made the overall experience even more delightful. Special mention to Keethana who took us on the guided tour of wine making and tasitng. Keerthana is quite knowledgeable, energetic and did a fantastic job with the explanations. She made the overall tasting experience thoroughly enjoyable! Thank you for making this a pleasant experience for us.

Distance from the city area is a tiny bit of bother, but who cares. The venue, the ambiance, and the tasting experience are way more than the effort. They have a great restaurant in the shape of huge gazebo. We didn't have to use the rooms as we didn't stay but people go there on long vacations too. Learned later that they had beautiful party lawns as well to throw exotic get-togethers. You'll not mind going back there every once in a while.

I went for a wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard. I really enjoyed the tour and the tasting, but I found that the host really rushed us through the wine tasting. It would have been great to learn a bit more about tannins and other content that goes into each wine before we went further.

This place has a beautiful buffet spread. Gone there thrice not for the wine tour but for their buffet. The property is beautiful too. We are not particularly fond of wine tour. That’s also available there. Great place to take your guests. I loved the 2021 buffet experience better though. Would love it if they are able to bring the same buffet experience in terms of the variation and spread.
