A beautifully serene place and one of the most popular places in Derjeeling. Those pine trees add charm to the place. The small treck which leads to the secred pond which is a little above, whoever visits is a much try. There is a watch tower, the view from there is awesome. To sum it all, it's a beautifully maintained and clean place where one can really connect with nature!

A very scenic place to visit. One can trek through the narrow path through the trees to the top of the water pond. The trek can be a tiring one if one is not used to but it's definitely doable.. Although the distance mentioned at the base of the park to the pond is 750 meters, but since its an uphill trek it took us about 30 minutes to reach the pond. One can sit and relax at the benches provided along the way to the trek.. In monsoon season, one needs top be extra careful of the leeches and slippery paths

Entry fees- Rs.15/-

Lamahatta Eco Park is a wonderful park built on the lap of the hills. This park is located on the road from Teesta Bazar to Darjeeling. This park is so beautiful that one can easily spend hours here. There is a lake at the top of this park. It can be reached by walking a steep hilly path. And here you can see a small lake surrounded by pine trees, a great view with a strange calm atmosphere. The whole park is also an ideal place for photography.

A picture perfect place for Vacation & outing. It's serene beauty definitely praiseworthy. The sacred pond above the park is also awesome. A must visit Park in Darjeeling District , West Bengal for couples & youngsters. It's better to avoid trekking to reach sacred pond for above 60 years person & those suffering from any kind of pulmonary diseases & complications.

It's a beautiful park with an awesome view. The uniqueness of this park is its elevation. One can treck through the narrow path through the trees to the top of the park to reach the sacred water pond.

The Lamahata Eco Park is a beautiful place, and the entrance fee is 15 rupees. We went on March 21, 2022. The park is surrounded by pine trees in a very beautiful environment, decorated with various types of flowering trees in front. There is a tree house. It can be climbed. Max 8 people can get up together. The best thing is that there is a pond on the top of the hill inside this very beautiful place. You can get there by trekking through the pine forest. The road map is given on the back of the ticket. This is a very beautiful place.

Little far from Darjeeling but amazing place with pine forest. Trek to the top gives you amazing view. Fog surround this place suddenly creating mistic atmosphere. A must visit place near Darjeeling.

One of the biggest tourist attractions of the hills in recent times, the Eco Park is essentially a beautiful, serene, and mystic pine forest, quite well-maintained as well. There is a trail leading towards a sacred pond situated at the summit. The ambiance of the pond and its surroundings is reminiscent of a scene from a detective or suspense novel, with clouds playing in the background. Numerous benches are available; take some time to sit and enjoy the views. If you are staying in Darjeeling, include this in your day trip sightseeing. We incorporated this into our trip to Darjeeling from Tinchuley, and you can do the same if you prefer spending a few days away from the chaos and crowds of Darjeeling. The entry fee is very minimal, and there are several pay-and-use toilets near the main entry gate. Once you enter the park, it will take you around 2 hours to complete the trail and finish exploring this beautiful pine forest.

If you enjoy scenic beauty then must visit this place. Entry ticket price is 20Rs. At the highest point of the park there is a water body and to reach there you have to trek around 750m. From Darjeeling you have to hire a cab to reach this place. Cab will take arround 2500 -3000 rupees and cover 2-3 nearby other place like tinchuley, takdah orchid centre and while returning you can go to either peae pagoda or ghum and batasia loop. As such Public transport not available, if you go by sharing then you have to come jorebanglow from where you could get share cab.

A hidden hamlet in the Himalayas. A cool place to spend a few hours. For the adventurist a short trek to the sacred water body can be done. The place provides marvelous views of pine forest and the mountain back ground.

In the hills is Thrilling Park as well. Every corner has the address of love. When the sky is clear, the environment is one type, and when it is foggy, it is another. Even while it would be impossible for everyone to go through the entire park, those who can would undoubtedly love it. Give yourself some time with nature by stopping here once. A really lovely love is available for you. ❤️

This is one of the must visiting points in North Bengal tour. This place bears a serene pyne tree forest. The whole surrounding inside the park is very cold and airy. The entry is Rs. 50 per head. The child under 5 years is free. This place is suitable for photo sessions. This place is an attractive point to the tourists all times. I really recommend this place to visit. One can be much pleased when he visits this place. This place fills one's mind with profound tranquility.

Scenic and well maintained pine tree hill. Takes couple of hours from Darjeeling to reach the place. Nominal ticket fee for entrance. Has several camera friendly spots for capturing natural beauty of the place. If you care to climb up across the pine trees you would get to see a beautiful lake.

  • 5/5 Nivedita T. 4 months ago on Google
Its a little park stituated on a hill slope, maintained by the local villagers. They have a nominal entry fee for the park. Once inside, you can walk on beautiful trails through pine forests, there is also a watchtower that you can climb for views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. It has excellent photographic potential too. A good place to visit for 2-3 hours. You can go with kids and families. A very well maintained and manicured park with trees that stretch to the skies. Beautiful flower shrubs will greet you at the steps. Do visit and walk the stretch for some time and lose yourself in nature.

I recently took a trip to a Lamahatta Eco Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. The forest was a serene and peaceful oasis, with towering trees and a tranquil atmosphere that left me feeling rejuvenated. As I entered the park, I was immediately struck by the sweet scent of pine that filled the air. The trees were tall and majestic, their branches reaching up toward the sky. As I walked higher into the park, I found myself becoming more and more immersed in its beauty. The sunlight filtered through the trees, creating dappled patterns on the floor. One of the highlights of my visit to pine park was the sense of peace and tranquility that it instilled in me. It was a calming and meditative place, and I found myself feeling more relaxed and centered with every step I took. Overall, my trip to the Lamahatta Eco Park was a truly rejuvenating experience. If you're looking for a peaceful and meditative escape from the stresses of everyday life, then I highly recommend taking a trip here. Heads Up: It is about a 1.8Kms hike!

Beautiful well maintained park. The entry fee is 15/- rupees. There are sufficient seats for taking rest. The area is surrounded by big Casuarina (ঝাউ) trees. There is a tree house. 7 people are allowed at a time. There is a sacred lake about 750 metres above the park. The path is very very steep. Any heart or joint pain patient can face problem to go to that mountain top. In the top there is a sacred lake full of fishes. There are some restaurant and guest houses in front of the park. Fooding and lodging are available. People are very helpful. Car and bikes can be parked. No parking charge needed. Lamahatta Eco Park is a must visit spot.

Picturesque place at the heart of Lamahatta. The park is meticulously maintained and one can spend quite some time relaxing here. The view of Kanchenjunga from the watchtower and the park itself is breathtaking. This should be on the must visit list while traversing along North Bengal. During end October/November you can see a plethora of colors which is not easily seen during the foggy monsoon seasons.

  • 5/5 Amit M. 1 year ago on Google
An awesome eco park filled with long pine trees. If you come here just after afternoon you can see the nature's own light & shadow show in the pine forest. There is a little lake on the top of the park. One have to trek to the place. The journey is strenuous but its worth it.

If you love nature, trees, flowers then you will appreciate this eco park developed on the slopes of a small town Lamahatta, about an hr away from Darjeeling. Walk up to enjoy spectacular views of Kanchenjunga and u can even see the huge Shiv Statue in Namchi through binoculars. Worth a visit to hug a tree or u can even enjoy a hot cup of tea, steaming momos in one of the tiny cafes in the town.

It's manmade but it has beautiful views of Darjeeling and the mountain. We went after sunset and the view was gorgeous.

  • 4/5 Aritra J. 3 years ago on Google
Nice and serene. The walk uphill towards the lake is exciting but at the same time quite unsafe as the path is narrow and forest at the end is quite dark. Some say there are tigers around the forest, so beware before you plan to trek the uphill.

  • 5/5 Biswajit G. 3 years ago on Google

Nice place to spend few hours.. keeping the nature untouched modified like a park.. you will have to pay the entry fee (nominal) .. don't forget to taste the momo from the opposite dhaba.. :)

  • 4/5 Sushobhon 3 years ago on Google
The place itself is nice. Scenic beauty is awesome. If one visit there on a clear sunny day, Kanchenjunga mountain peak is clearly visible from the wodden tower. Only one issue with this place is that, the park is quite steep, so going towards the sacred lake would be a little bit difficult for some people having some health issues. Overall very nice and clean place.
