Awesome place and an even better vibe! The temple architecture is fantastic. The ropeway facility is of great help for elderly and young as well (who are not used to steep climbs). There are times when the ropeway is not functional though due to weather conditions.

A new ropeway has recently been constructed for the Surkanda Devi Temple by the Uttarakhand government it was inaugurated by Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on 1st May 2022. Generally, the devotees have to walk from Kaddukhal about 3 kilometers to reach the temple but using the ropeway which is 502 meters long from Kaddukhal to the Surkanda Devi temple devotees can easily reach the temple in just 5 to 10 minutes. The people who want to visit the temple can book online tickets for the ropeway, all the necessary information related to ticket booking, pricing, and other details are given below. Surkanda Devi temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth located in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. The temple is famous for its architectural design and the beautiful view of its location. Buttt the ticket counter is located at an elevation of 75 degree . Very tough elevation. Although price is ok and the elevation at end point is high. Good effort

It became operational wef May 2022. now one can easily reach the peak in 10 minutes. While the temple is open from 5 AM to 10 PM, the Ropeway is however operational between 9 am - 5 pm only. So please plan accordingly. Rope way fare is Rs. 205 for two-way which we found very reasonable. There is still 5 min of steep climb to reach Ropeway station and probably new access roads are getting constructed. There are total 16 trolleys and each cabin accomodate 6 persons. No dedicated Car parking and one needs to park on the roads leading to the temple. And the road gets too rushy afternoon as people park vehicles on road side.

Easily accessible by chair lift, this siddhapeeth offers spectacular views from the top. Revered by the locals and visitors alike, it's a must visit. Public washroom would be really appreciated.

It was very very satisfying and rewarding visit. Although had to stay in line for the ticket as there was a long wait but was finally able to get the ticket but had to return on foot as because of wind the operators don't broght people back. But it was easy to come back.

Amazing experience at this ropeway. They charge 210 rupees per person both ways. It's worth the experience. Ropeway stopped few metres before reaching the temple due to heavy winds. One can easily get scared while hanging midway.
