    This church is under Kulithurai diocese and One of the ancient church in Kanyakumari district.180years old. From 2021 August pope announced the ShrineMary church is promote to"basilica". very calm and neat, church had,convent,monastery and cottage industry. Parking facility available.

    St Mary's Basilica is located on the Mulagumoodu - Thickanamcode Road hardly 400 metres from the Trivandrum NH Road. Nice church with plenty of space for car parking. people crossing Mulagumoodu along the NH Road can have a brief visit to the calm and serene place. You can continue your journey in peace with the blessings of Mother Mary.

    Wonderful western architecture, we can feel the vintage structure once we entered the church. it's one if the major religious hub. September month church festival happens every year. you can feel the peace here.
